We hired Shawn P with American home improvement to enclose our patio and create a mini bar inside for entertainment. Shawn went above and beyond our expectations in every aspect and we love our new "entertainment hut".

We first contacted AHI back in March and had them come out to give us an estimate and we absolutely fell in love with Dean. He gave us a very thorough and detailed explanation during our first meeting which lasted nearly 3 1/2 hours. He was patient, understanding, and he really listened to all of our wants and needs before he began his presentation. Unfortunately, due to some personal issues, we were unable to move forward with the project. We were so grateful for his time and patience that when we were ready to start again, we called him right back! We ended up pulling the trigger on the project in September and we are so happy we finally went through with it. Dean came back for a second meeting to refresh and recap everything we originally went over. We tweaked the plans a little thanks to some new ideas he came up with and we were on our way. We repaired dry rotted deck, replaced a beam in it, enclosed it with a glass enclosure and did pavers in the backyard and some landscaping in the front and back of the house. They foreman he brought was a professional who made sure he was on top of his crew. Dean came to check on the job once or twice a week but called or texted us daily at the end of each day to make sure we were happy. He bought us coffees in the mornings when he'd come which was kind of a bonus! Anyway, to make a long story short, AHI and Dean are absolutely recommended by my family. Call Dean, you won't regret it!

Everything from start to finish went pretty smoothly. With the help of our project manager we were able to maximize the use of our kitchen. We love the new design, he helped us choose the countertops which we love and best of all, he threw in 6 recessed lights which we originally cut out of our plan due to budgeting. He made sure we were happy and got exactly why we wanted. All inspections were passed on time and the kitchen is now complete. I will take pictures when I have time. Thanks American!

We hired American home improvement to redo the flooring and stairs in our house as well as crown molding in the kitchen and a built-in entertainment center in the living room. Everything looks spectacular and we absolutely love the floors that our project manager helped us choose. The entertainment center looks great however we did have to wait a few extra days for the designs because one of the designers went out of town. But they did finish everything on time and we love the way it looks. I would hire again and I recommended them to friends and family. Thanks guys will see you again soon for the bathrooms!

We recently remodeled 2 of our bathrooms with Micky from American home improvement. They finished everything in under 4 weeks and the quality is outstanding. The crews are responsible and respectful. They were always on time and didn't miss a beat throughout the process. Micky, my project manager answered all my questions and was there every few days to check on the project and see it with his own eyes. When we first purchased our house, our home project list was vast and long, and in that someday pile was that complete kitchen overhaul. Well five years later, after countless magazine readings and home improvement shows, the idea turned into a plan, and the time came to select a general contractor to execute it. After interviewing several highly reviewed contractors (both on Yelp and A*list), we chose Micky based on his remodeling experience (our project involved removing a structural wall), his professionalism, and his easy-going demeanor. In addition, we chose him for all the things he was not, not pushy, not a high pressure salesman, and not a "cut me a check and I'll be done in 4 weeks" kind of guy. Having now finished our project, I can say that who you meet and what he promises on the first day, is the same person you will be interacting with during the project and who will deliver as-promised in the end. Here are a few more criteria that were important to us, in evaluating our contractor, and selecting someone to work in our home for the weeks and months to come. 1. Timeliness. Will the project start on time? (e.g. I just gave a deposit, will my contractor show up?) Will the project come in on schedule? Will the project ever be finished? Yes, yes and yes. Our project manager gave us a schedule at the beginning of the project, started on the day we scheduled, at the time we scheduled, and kept on schedule, and finished within our timeframe. He did a great job of delivering our project within its six to eight week timeframe. 2. Communication. No matter how much planning you do upfront, there are infinite possibilities and decisions to be made during the process. We couldn't be home for all of it, and relied on being able to phone, email, text and picture message with Micky. He was always great about quickly acknowledging our communication and responding to any concerns/thoughts/issues that came up during the project. 3. Budget. It's worth repeating, that Micky delivers a high quality product as-promised and on-budget. This is really where, I believe, your contractor's experience comes in. He was able to work with our existing floors (and match them pretty much perfectly to new wood floors), demo the necessary walls to open up the space, but retain existing walls which kept us on budget. We were very pleased with the results. What I think all the above issues boil down to is trust, and will you be able to trust your general contractor with your home. American was out 3rd bidder and we decided to go with them right away. Sean, our project manager was so thorough and explained everything in a way that we could understand. He was knowledgeable and you could just tell he knew what he was talking about. He drew designs for us and once the plans were approved we were on our way the same day. We reconfigured our master bedroom which is very oddly shaped with different nooks in random corners. He put up a wall and created an onsuite with a little TV room. We enlarged our attached master bathroom and added a jacuzzi tub. It seriously looks great. We also upgraded our electrical panel and put up recessed lights all throughout the house. We now have dark stained wood flooring throughout the house instead of the carpet and old wood floor combo. It looks like a brand new house. We're so excited to enjoy it during the holidays! My wife and I just bought our first home... of course it was a fixer upper. There were many things to do like bathrooms, flooring throughout, popcorn ceiling removal and replastering of of the ceiling, recessed lights, new countertops and crown molding in the kitchen etc... we hired American Home Improvement to do the work and we're glad we did. The process was smooth and they are a very reliable team. The office was very helpful as well as my project manager. Everyone was really so great. If I could give them an extra star I definitely would. They completed the project 2 weeks ahead of schedule and came in right on budget with no surprises. We hired AHI to remodel our kitchen and bathroom and we are so happy we did. Our project manager Sam went above and beyond to ensure that we were updated while we were out of town for the majority of the project. He sent pictures, a video and called or texted us every time they were on to a different phase or after the completed something. It was so nice to come home to an almost completed project. Everything went great! Our kitchen is so beautiful and we love the open concept our project manager created for us. Everything was done with respect to our house and belongings. They were efficient and swift. We loved working with AHI and would definitely hire again. I absolutely love love love my new kitchen. Everything went well throughout the entire process. It was very smooth and our project manager was very attentive and listened to everything we wanted. The foreman and crew are a pleasure to work with and I can't wait to bring them back to do more work next year. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to everyone I know. Being this was my first remodel, a more detailed explanation as to what the customer is responsible for and what is provided would of helped, but I am very happy with how my remodel turned out. The people I had contact with were all professional and helpful and it was done in a timely manner.

The painting and tile work was high quality. In the initial planning stage, Sam, our general contractor, helped with ideas on bathroom design, costs and colors. We initially were just going to remodel just one bathroom, but we were pleased with the work so we expanded the project. Cost estimates were accurate.

American Home Improvement really outdid themselves on my project. They were so professional and helpful in every way. From the estimation, to the signing of the contract, all the way to the end! They were so responsive throughout the different phases of the project. The office always answered my questions and addressed any concerns my wife or I may have had. The crew was great and always arrived on time. They also finished the entire project ahead of schedule. I'm really really happy with these guys and would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone is know. I will also be bringing them back for the kitchen next year!

I recently remodeled my kitchen with American Home Improvement. They came by to give us an estimate and we immediately fell in love with Mike. He was so knowledgeable and gave us so many great ideas in order to maximize and get the most out of our smaller-than-average kitchen. It has now been converted to an open concept kitchen and we still have all the appliances we want in there. It truly is beautifully designed and fits right into the style we are looking to accomplish for our home. I can honestly say that our needs have been met 100% and I couldn?t be happier. I have a good amount of counter space as well considering its open concept and we basically our 5 ft peninsula. AHI made it work, look great, and did it in a considerably short amount of time. It was completed in just over a month. I am so happy with my overall experience with AHI and I will definitely use them again for any future projects I may have. A+ performance, A+ service, A+ finish!

Just remodeled my bathroom with AHI and I am extremely happy with the outcome. They were super efficient and they were able to break down the costs for me when I had questions. The workers were on time everyday and they worked tirelessly to complete the project in a week and a half's time. I enjoyed working with my project manager and the office team. They always kept me informed with texts, emails, and calls. I would highly recommended them to anyone who plans on remodeling their bathrooms and/or any thing else regarding home improvement. Their professionalism was top notch and I can't wait to have them back when I'm ready to my next project.

American came out 4 times before I actually signed a contract with them... I'm kind of a shopper when it comes to these things... anyway, their patience is part of why I liked them so much. They were so professional from start to finish and even when we hit a few bumps in the road, they handled everything so well. They had a total of 3 crews working at once on the kitchen and bathrooms. We left the master and guest bathroom for the next phase. Their quality of work was top notch and I definitely reccommend them to anyone who plans on redesigning their home. AHO will be coming back to complete the other 2 bathrooms as well as all the flooring throughout my house. Well be doing hard wood and porcelain tile. Can't wait for phase two. AHI did a great job in remodeling my master bathroom. They will be starting my guest bathroom and laundry room in two weeks and based on the previous job, I was very pleased with the quality of work and customer service from my project manager as well as the office. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family in the LA area. These guys were truly honest and professional. Fantastically! Everything was beautifully done and on time. Even the building inspector complimented them and everything passed. Our project manager was Shawn Paras and he was outstanding. We were so happy with our new bathroom that we immediately contracted for them to do the kitchen. We do recommend them highly and would surely hire them again.

Excellent workmanship!! Contractors were very precise with their work but went beyond to ensure quality. Excellent plumber and painter! Remodeling is a scary endeavor; however, American Home Improvement made sure the process and timelines were fully explained. The proposed schedule was met. I am so happy with the final results. I will use their services again for my future projects!
