Arrived on time for scheduled appointment, asked them about quotes for additional work that they did the same day. The LED recessed bulbs are done well, they work extremely well and I think they placed them in the best location and did a great job. The bathroom fan they installed initially they had a roof vent they were going to install. They instead duct taped the exhaust to a vent in my attic, which didn't last that long and fell off so the bathroom vent was venting into the attic. They did mention they could run it to the attic vent but I thought they meant a decent way and not just slapping a bunch of duct tape on the exhaust vent. The dual-toggle switch they installed isn't flush with the face plate. One exterior plug was installed in a decent way. Another required conduit on the exterior of the house off an existing plug. I was okay with that, but the plug they tied into doesn't fit correctly into the socket anymore, its sort of sticking out a bit. I've had to remedy these on my own and patch my own drywall with the few holes they cut. I won't be contracting with them again and won't recommend them.

Great Expectations. We contacted ADI about their big deal on a Friday Afternoon and received two emails and two phone calls that same afternoon. Looking forward to meeting with them this weekend to visit our project and make plans.

ADI was very responsive about setting up an appointment to do the work, and 2 installers arrived on time, were friendly, professional, seemed knowledgeable. I got a bit of a hard sell to try to get me to upgrade my electrical panel, but I understand that the reason these companies do special deals is to drum up more business, so it was not a big issue. I declined to do further work. The job went fine, the fan was SUPER quiet, and I was happy. I didn't write a review at the time because I kept forgetting about it, but feel extremely motivated to post this after what I just learned. A friend of mine who is a contractor happened to be at my house and was looking at some remodeling work I was about to start. He noticed (and showed me) that the fan that was installed by ADI was never connected to the duct work in the wall, therefore the air was just blowing into my walls. He offered to fix it for me, and then also discovered that electrical wiring that was supposed to be held in place was instead leaning against the sharp edge of the metal box containing the fan. This was not to code, and as I understand it could have caused a short in the wiring over time. I must point out here that my contractor friend did not stand to gain anything from telling me about the poor job done by ADI - he fixed the problem for me without charge. Also, just to be clear, no one had ever touched the walls or fan except for ADI. If not for my friend happening to look at this, I would never have known that this fan was installed in such a sloppy manner. Thankfully, I did not use this bathroom much for showering, or else I would have been venting steam directly into my walls all this time. I will never use ADI again. This experience was a great disappointment to me because I chose them due to their A rating here on Angie's List.

I called the vendor and left a message and he called me twice and I called back and I have never heard back from him since. It has been 5 business days.

I had no problem scheduling and they were courteous and quick. They were prompt in their response; it went smoothly this time.

The reason I am asking for a refund is the deal was for a swap out of the electrical panel. I read that as swapping my 4 circuit panel (60 amp) to a 200 amp panel. To them a swap is swapping a 60 amp panel with a 60 amp panel. That is not what I need. To get the 200 amp panel I need, they quoted me it would cost an additional $1,800.00.

They found and fixed the reason two circuits were not working. They were prompt, pleasant and competent.

He pin pointed the problem, he came when he said he would. He came out and found the the problem. He had to get a new fan. it works right and makes no noise at all now.

They came out very timely after the Big Deal purchase. I believe the owner, Ron, came out. I asked for Ron’s opinion and asked for some estimates for additional work for my older home and Ron provided it. I may still utilize the Big Deal, but I need to think about what I want to do.

I bought the Big Deal, and the guys who came did a good job and were very professional. The only problem I have is that they were going to have the owner of the company call me to discuss an estimate for a complete grounding of our electrical, and I never got a call. I did get a call from the office manager to follow up on the work done, and I told her it went fine, and that I was expecting a call about the grounding. She also said she would follow up with the owner, but I never got a call. So basically, they did a fine job on what I purchased through Angie's List, but apparently they don't want my further business on the potential much larger project.

I could have opted for a switch rather than temperature sensor. I opted not to do that because it would have been additional costs for patching. The service worked out well.

Scheduling was done quickly, they responded within the day and we set up an appointment later in the month. The service was simple, they just replaced my motion sensor. It worked out well and I thought it was a good deal.

I have had ADI Electrical our here a couple of times before the big deal and they did a really good job. This time it seemed like there was a mess-up in the communication between the scheduler and the gentleman that came out here. We were having a party and I needed them to fix some lights that were high up. And I told the scheduler that they will need a ladder as the lights are high outside. And also I ordered a bathroom fan with the light. They are special one with the light than the one without the light so they charged extra for the light and I was going to pay the extra but they didn't bring the one with the light. So I just came up with a couple of other things that I didn't really care to have fixed or not but then the two things that I wanted to get done before the party didn't happen because of the scheduling mix up. This wasn't their best time. We were planning a party and we needed it done that weekend and that was actually a little annoying because I made sure to say everything. It wasn't the service that I really wanted. I will use them again in the future. In fact I've got to call them and set up an appointment to get the fan with the light and get him to fix the other things that I wanted fixed that needed the ladder.

The lamps were initially installed incorrectly, but Ariel Kahana returned my calls promptly, answered my questions and worked with me until all issues were resolved completely and proficiently. Mistakes can be made but the important thing to remember here is that Ariel cares about his company and reputation and because of that, I would definitely refer and use ADI again.

The electrician arrived. While he hardly spoke English, we were able to communicate with one another. He looked at the light in the ceiling and tinkered with it and it was working. It was not broken after all. I don't know what made it go out, but in 15 minutes he was done and the light has worked ever since.

Prompt and professional. My new microwave had caused my circuit to break. They moved my appointment up to help me out and were very accommodating. Everything works great now. I would definitely use them again.

It didn't. Didn't get a return phone call.

I should have known by the mixed reviews on this service that you could have a negative experience. After I purchased the "deal" through the AL website I was directed to ADI's website which allows you to schedule several probable dates and times pending a follow up call from ADI as listed in the conformation I received from AL. There was no follow-up call from ADI. They need to update the auto generated confirmation if they want you to contact them as you actually enter in two potential dates and times. I had to call a couple of times to arrange yet a different date and time. Once I spoke to a person, similar to a cable provider, you could only schedule in 4 hour blocks. We settled on Monday 1 to 5 PM. When Monday came I received a call from my wife the the team arrived at 10:50AM. I told her to tell the 2 person team to come back between 1 and 5PM but they decided to sit out infront of the house until 1PM. When I arrived at 1PM I walked them through the job -- 3 path lights, a transformer and 2 post lights for installation. The path lights were on a newly constructed retaining wall and steps which I had pre-wired for the job. The posts where brick columns that were pre-plumbed with PVC conduit as well. The 2 person team immediately started to work. I asked them if the time, 2 hours was sufficient for the job and they said they thought it was given the pre-wiring and pre-plumbing. They then told me they do not have fittings, connections, wire, etc. with them as I only purchased the labor. This is silly. Electricians without tools and parts - you have got to be kidding! I fortunately had everything. When they attempted to fish the wire for the posts they got their fish tape stuck, really stuck. And was unable to fish it out. Instead they snipped the fish tape which was stuck in my pre-plumbed PVC and left. This is unacceptable. It took me a few minutes to dig it out after they left. I installed the post lights myself. Overall this was the poorest experience I have had using contractors through AL. There are over 600 providers in the SFV area with over 300 with "A" ratings. My advice is to try someone else.

No work was done, but they were really nice and helpful on the phone.

ADI Electrical came in and fixed the contractors mistakes and when he was done also fixed outlets the contractor did. (some of the outlets where not even wired up). I was very happy with the electrician. He was very quick and efficient. Very happy and I'll use them again in the future. I have light in my bathroom now, this is awesome. No more shaving with a lamp sitting on my sink. Thank you ADI.
