From my first call to Bernie, it was a completely professional and great business experience! He responded to my intial call within 24 hours, and came to see the job site within 3 days. He was very knowledgeable, and because the garages were built in the 1940's, the sizes weren't exactly standard. He knew exactly how to make it work. I had another estimate from someone else the same day, and it was several hundred dollars more, and he didn't even mention the non-standard size. Bernie ordered the doors I had chosen, and yesterday he and his crew installed them. They did a great job, and I am so pleased with the way the doors look. They are just basic white steel, but very clean looking. And, I can just hose them off when they get dirty! Wonderful experience and I definitely recommend Top Notch.

Amazing. I called Top Notch this morning around 11AM, and by 1PM Bernie was at my home, servicing our garage door. He was incredibly professional, sent me a text to let me know when he was close and he did the work very quickly. Not only would I use him again, I've already passed his information along to a contractor friend. He is great. Great service, fair prices and very professional. Very glad to have found him.

I called in the morning. The gentleman said he could come in the afternoon. He called at 1:30 and said he would be there at 2:00. He arrived at 2:00, installed the lock in about 15 minutes and he was on his way. Very easy, efficient, and no hassle!

Contacted him by phone.He told me when he could come -- within a couple of hours of the call.He arrived promptly.He diagnosed the problem quickly.He replaced the worn out bearings.He showed me the worn out part.He replaced a broken hinge, without additional charge.He sold me a new remote and programmed it for me. Did the work for fair price. Did it quickly.He did not suggest additional work to pad the bill.Would use his service again next time we have trouble with our garage door.

I called several company's on the list. Top notch could give me the quickest response. The counter spring on the garage door had broken. They came on time and fixed it promptly. They also greased the door, adjusted my electronic eye and programmed my car button. The price they quoted me was what I was charged, which was equal to other quotes from other companies. I would highly recommend them.

I called Bernie first thing in the morning at 8 a.m. He answered and said he would be by that afternoon. He showed up about 1:00 and went right to work. After identifying the problem, he lifted to door so I could get my car out, and fixed the problem by 1:30. A wire from our irrigation system got caught in the track. He even stapled that to the wall so that we wouldn't have the same issue again. Professional, prompt, effective--I'd certainly call him again! BTW . . . he did everything without waking up my napping toddler whose room is right next to the garage. Awesome!!!

Great service! I called late in the day on Friday and had an appointment on Monday (due to part possibly being needed). Showed up early and was done before I even got home - we spoke on the phone and I explained how to get into the garage if I wasn't there. Very professional, was able to identify exactly what the problem was an fix it right away. Door works better now than it ever has since I've lived there. Super friendly and would highly recommend!

He did a beautiful job and did a good job of informing me and giving me options. He was always on time and got the job done on time too. He went above and beyond. I love my garage door.

Bernie did not show up. When I called him, he had clearly forgotten about the appointment. Then, he said I had not given him my address. This was not true - when arranging with new suppliers, I always make sure they have my address and phone number. So, even if I had overlooked giving him my address, he could have called. As I have another garage door coming to give me information on a new door, I did not reschedule Top Notch, since Bernie struck me as unreliable.

He was a very nice fellow. He was able to get the part and then fixed it in about ten minutes. He fixed a problem when another company wanted to sell me things I did not need. The overall experience was excellent. I would use this service again.

My experience with TOP NOTCH GARAGE DOORS was great. Bernie came first time for the quote. He was very polite and on time. I got the quote and he answered all the questions I had and things I need to do prior to installation. We were able to schedule the installation 2 weeks after. All the work was done in a few hours and the result is great. I am very happy by my new automatic garage door.

I had a terrible vibration problem with my garage door. I called Bernie and he made a convenient appointment to my time needs. He arrived punctually, actually early. He quickly analyzed the problem, which was a defective switch. He replaced the switch and his charge was extremely reasonable. He did not try to sell me unneeded services and that I especially appreciated. In addition, he lubricated the opener tract and door springs at no additional charge. Further, he installed a remote that was unoperable and he did not charge for that either. I don't know if this is his usually service but I was very pleased and have no problem recommending him again. For information, the entire charge (diagnosing, repair and other services) were less than the estimate charges two other companies wanted to charge me for simply coming out. I would unhesitately recommend and use him again.

I have used Bernie at Top Notch before so I called him. He was a little busy but he made time to come out within a short period of time. There was no major problem, just a bent track for the wheels which he bent back into place. I have called other garage door people in the past, and they always try to talk me into buying a new door or opener. Bernie never does that, he makes repairs for a very reasonable fee and tells me he will let me know when replacement is necessary, but it's not yet time. How refreshing to find an honest person these days! He does a great job and he is such a nice man.

We were heading out of town the next day and he was able to make it to our home that same afternoon, diagnose, and then fixed the problem all within an hour. He fully explained the problem and said it should work fine now. He said we shouldn't need a new door for some time (ours is almost 20 years old). He didn't try to sell us a new door but when that time comes, I will definitely buy it from Bernie at Top Notch. They live up to their name.

Our garage door was inoperable, and since I had such a great experience with Bernie the last time we had a problem there was no question on who to call. Bernie came out and showed me what the problem was; the main spring on the door had snapped. He suggested that I go with two springs instead of the one we had previously; there was no real increase on price but it would help the door operate better. I was impressed that he was looking to improve the operation even though he wouldn't necessarily be profiting on the upgrade. I went with the double springs; he had them replaced, the door operable, and even cleaned and oiled all the tracks and hinges (at no extra charge) within thirty minutes. I should add a word or two about his first visit out: last year during the torrential rains the door stopped working; he came out the same day (within an hour, I believe) and again fixed it within a half an hour; that repair (which was stronger than the original construction) is still holding strong. Bernie is a quality workman and a nice guy to boot. Even though I don't think there's anything left that can go wrong on that door, I would hire him again in a second.

Bernie came out on the day specified to talk to us about a new garage door for our home. He was a few minutes early for the appointment, which we appreciated. He discussed the various options available to us and answered all of our questions. He helped us select the style of door (appearance) that would best suit our house. He was patient and never pressed us at all. He came today and installed the door and opener. He arrived on time and worked straight through until the installation was complete. The door looks great and operates as we expected. We're very happy wih his work.

I was in a jam. It was a Saturday, late afternoon, and my garage door became inoperative. I could not leave the garage door open all night or until Monday. Bernie answered the phone and was at my place within 20 minutes. He assessed the damage within seconds and quickly remedied the situation - then assured me that I didn't need to purchase a new door or apparatus in the very near future.
