LIS Remodeling and Handyman

Julien has been our “go to” person for every home repair for the past 9+ years. Last year we embarked on a major remodel and Julien was the only contractor we would consider for the job. He is honest, professional, detail oriented, and was available to discuss every aspect of this 4-month project. His crew is also fabulous! We recommend Julien without hesitation!

Julien is, hands down, the best contractor we have ever worked with. He is friendly, smart, and made it easy to live in our house while construction went on around us. He provided before and after pictures, 3D images...he's just fantastic. His guys are sweet, and very hard workers, too. Highly recommend.

Absolutely flawlessly. And that is unbelievable in today's world! Julien and his crew were thoughtful, considerate, neat and aware they were working in someone's home. They took extra care to lay down plastic and tent the work areas to keep dirt and dust to a minimum. Julien treated our home as if it were his own. He listened carefully to my thoughts and concerns and was never rushed about doing the very best work. Though I am always tentative about having workers in my home, Julien and his crew have definitely changed my mind and made me realize there are professionals out there who take pride in the work they do and want you, the customer, to be happy.

Everything was repaired with precision and care. When the door lock I purchased had missing parts, Haig returned the lock and exchanged it for me.

Julien is a friendly guy but UNRELIABLE. He came to my place and I sho,wed him what needed to be done and we spoke at length so I was very clear. He said he would get me a quote within a day or two, It's been 3 weeks and no word! Obviously, I cannot call him since he has shown himself to be unreliable. You can't hire someone who is that irresponsible. That would be asking for problems. Avoid Julien!

Javier did a wonderful job and we enjoyed having him here. He did a very good job explaining the steps of the repair, he made sure we tested his work, and the drainage system is working better than it ever did.

Julien's great! What's nice about Julien is that it's a one stop shop - he can do your big and small projects so it's one point of contact. All of the people on his team have been extremely professional and his prices are very reasonable. Repeat customer here!

He's very knowledgeable, precise, and is great at figuring out ways to meet our objectives while having the end result look perfect. His prices are fair. If you think he's pricey, think again - because you get what you pay for. I'd rather have Julien do the work once - correctly - than pay others who might do a sub-par job, then charge you every time they come back. He and his assistant are extremely responsive and while he gets booked up - because he's good! - is worth the wait. We will definitely work with Julien again!

After taking off work 2 hours early and driving an hour home to meet, Julien showed up an hour late for the appointment. Granted, his secretary called and let me know, but that 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. Had I known earlier he was running late, I could have stayed at work and been more productive. Had he showed up on time, I could have released my nanny earlier and saved some money. After showing him the location and discussing possible options, he said he would have an estimate ready for me either the next day (Friday) or at the very latest, Monday. It is now 9 days later and I have yet to hear from him. If it was a simple mistake I would expect the secretary to follow up by now. I guess A) something tragic happened, B) he doesn't want the work. Either way a man's word is his bond. Julien - don't make promises you can't or don't want to keep. And don't inconvenience people by calling after you are already late. Why would I want to hire someone as unreliable as this?

Julien met me at Home Depot to pick-up the door as well as some needed supplies. He was on time and we left from there and went to my home. Installation took approximately 5 hours and Julien did an absolutely AMAZING job. Fit and finish were perfect as was the stucco add around the door, trim on the inside of the door, painting and cleaning. Overall, just an outstanding job and an excellent experience. I would not hesitate to use Julien again. He is professional, courteous, and more than reasonable. He also does kitchen and bathroom work and I will be using him when there is more work to be done on the house. All in all a phenomenal experience.

Helped me hang curtains at my business. We have 14 ft ceilings and all glass walls, so a needed a pro with the right ladder. He was professional and patient and I will use his services again.

Julian was friendly and professional when he came to give me an estimate. He was helpful in giving me the name of a company to purchase the brick. Crew was on time and completed work in time indicated. They even returned in a few days to help move back plants to the patio. The work was beautifully done and exactly what I wanted. Price was fair. Crew was was a professional and responsive. Office manager and assistant and office manager who responded to inquiries quickly.

In my opinion they are misleading people by advertising as a "handyman." A handyman typically is someone who can be available in short notice to handle many different size and type of jobs. Someone who is booked up for months doing bigger jobs, like him, is a contractor. For people like myself looking for someone trustworthy and expeditious when in a bind it is a waste of time calling companies like this when there are many others in the "handyman" queue who are what you are actually looking for. If you have plenty of time and are willing to wait over a month for the work it seems clear from the reviews they are a great fit for that.

It went great! I ordered the bathroom vanity online and it came with a slight dent right in the white wood under the counter. It was going to be a pain to return it so Julien made it work. He patched it and had someone repaint it and you can't even tell. I'm a working mom and didn't have time to pick up the tile at the tile store so he was kind enough to pick it up on the first morning he was here. He was great to work with - always finding solutions when we encounter little hiccups here and there. We were very pleased - he can do EVERYTHING which is nice because you can deal with him for multiple projects within your house. I would use him again. Always on time and his office manager communicates well.
