Tahitian Pools and Spas

I hired this company to install a pool and spa in my backyard. They destroyed my front yard landscaping and sprinklers and would not fix them. The contractor hired illegals who were unlicensed to install the electrical and gas lines. They did not have any of the work inspected so I don't know if the work is even being done correctly. The contractor doesn't have workers compensation and claims to the CSLB that he has no employees. He has since abandoned the job because nobody has showed up to complete the work in almost a month. He refuses to call me back. I have paid him more than he is currently getting for his pools now. Originally when I received the quote the owner told me that his rates would be going up soon so I needed to make a decision quickly. It turned out that as soon as I signed the contract he dropped his prices by about $7000. Now I am stuck with work that still needs to be completed and I have already paid him most of his money. Do not hire this guy. He will lure you in with his phony specials and then when you have paid him most of the money he will disappear, leaving you with work that costs more than you owe on the job. My only recourse now is to sue him in small claims court and then attach his bond that he has on file with the CSLB.
