HORRIBLE is the only word to describe this company. HORRIBLE communication HORRIBLE workmanship HORRIBLE punctuality I'm only going to list a few of the many, many reasons why you should run as fast as you can from Colin and his pathetic excuse for landscaping services. I'm too angry to relive the entire atrocious experience... 1) Everything failed. The irrigation system flooded...twice. Once in the back yard. Then later in the front (where one of the guys had spliced our new drip irrigation into our existing line). He had just stuck two pieces of hose together. No epoxy, no fittings, nothing. Then, the irrigation controller they installed stopped working...on the weekend. Collin would NOT come out to fix it. "the grass is fine until monday" "Just run the other line and flood the lawn again". With no choice, I did it. Three days without proper watering. My ENTIRE lawn died. I called Collin 3 times. He keeps repeating that it'll come back. Its dead. Flat, matted, peels up easily without roots...dead. I'm in the process of spending another $2k to have a competent landscaper come and rip up what Collin did and relay sod. 2) Horrible work ethic. Ignoring his aformentioned adversion to working on the weekend, Collin also viewed coming to work as optional. I came home each day to find less and less was done to the lawn. Some days nothing was done; I'd call Collin and he'd just say that his car broke down. Really? All of your three trucks that I've seen broke down? At once? I even recently (while digging up one of the lines that was flooding my brand new lawn) found a bottle of urine burried in the sod.) Apparently p****** on me figuratively and financially wasnt enough... 3) Dishonest. The price kept going up. Always an excuse as to why he would have to charge me more. Here is an actual example: "I installed too many irrigation heads. I'm going to have to lay more sod then we agreed on. I'm going to have to charge you more in material and labor". Only after negotiating was I able to get him to split the cost with me. He waits until he's well into the job, and your lawn is in ruin, and tries to rip you off. Do your self a favor; dont use Matrix. Do me a favor; call him for a quote and give him a fake address. He deserves to waste some of his time and money just as I have.

He took $57,000 which was $7,000 more than the original contract and walked away with only 45% of the job finished. I had to get another contractor to come in and finish the job. for another $25,000.

At time of estimate everything sounded great. Did not mention or offer "little" extra costs that later came up after I did my own research. Hard to get a hold of site manager, they were barely there. Just dropped of some workers and were gone for the day. Any questions I had answered within about a week of calling. Left trash on site as well as drains for drainage not completely finished. Called after final payment and said they would be there, still waiting. Gave up, finishing it myself. I am sure I am not there biggest job, but felt like it too. Would not use again and would not recommend to anyone I know, or don't for that matter.
