Description of Work: Dave and his marvelous crew completely deforested our recent foreclosure purchase! The place was a shambles and empty for over a year. He drew up wonderful plan for both front and back yards which included easy care, drought - resistant plants, gorgeous palms and very 'island' look in the middle of Hemet. (Inland Valley) The hardscape work of a front patio with wall-seating is perfect. Dave has done quite a few landscapes in our development as well as wonderful work for our community center.

+ -1 moreI bought a new house which needed a considerable amount of work so I lined up numerous landscaping, construction and flooring companies to come by and give me bids for everything that needed to be done. Since I was meeting with tons of people I tried to consolidate days and scheduled multiple people per day about 30 min. apart. The morning of my appointment with Mackie Landscaping I received a call asking for directions. After arguing with me over the accuracy of my directions Mr. Mackie told me he would be there a couple hours earlier than we'd agreed upon. I told him this wouldn't be possible because I was meeting with other people right up until his scheduled time. He seemed irritated with me that I wasn't able to accommodate him. Later on one of my earlier appointments cancelled so I called him back and said if he still wished to come earlier I had an open time slot. When he arrived he was rude, condescending, and never even bothered to introduce himself (which is why I call him Mr. Mackie). As I walked him around the property I told him what I wanted. He repeatedly told me that what I wanted wasn't practical (specifically grass along both sides of the house) because the sprinklers would stain the stucco. I told him that I'd rather have stained stucco and maximize the area than have an unusable gravel side yard that would be useless both visually and as a play area. Rather than listening to my needs and offering options that would alleviate my concerns and work for my growing family he rudely said, "well I can do it, but you'll hate it." That was basically the end of our meeting. He went to the front to do some more measurements and then left without another word. That was 3 weeks ago. I'm not surprised at all that I never received an estimate.
Description of Work: Met with Mackie Landscaping for some extensive landscaping work. The meeting was rife with conflict and I never even received the estimate.
