We had old tile in our bathrooms and wanted them re-tiled and also the shower fixtures replaced. We contacted Original Richard and they provided us with an estimate promptly. They arrived with a team of around 4 guys to do the job. They took care to place plastic on all of the flooring they were walking over, which kept the flooring clean. The job took about 4 and a half days total, and when they finished they thoroughly cleaned up our place. The showers look amazing now and we're very happy with the their work.

We had reached out to three different contractors (not from Angie's List) - each of them came down to our place, gave us an estimate for the work, and then simply stopped responding. We were getting really frustrated, so we gave Angie's List a shot. We reached out to Original Richard and that same day they got back to us. They gave me an estimate soon thereafter for the work, and were available to do the work within a few days. When the workers arrived they were on time, they prepped the house making sure to cover everything, scraped the ceilings and textured, then finally cleaned up thoroughly. I must say that my wife and I are very pleased with their work, friendliness and professionalism, responsiveness, and just the overall experience of working with them. I highly recommend them.

Their responsiveness, timeliness and attention to detail was great. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service. One of the very few times I can recall being so satisfied with a contractor! The price was fair and communication at every step of the job was excellent.

Richard provided a competitive price for the job and his crew was very professional during the entire process. The crew did a great job on the walls and ceilings. They ensured all working areas were properly covered and cleaned up after each day. Richard followed up to make sure we were 100% satisfied.

Original Richard completely transformed my house! I have stucco cracks all around the house, some of them quite large. I was very sad and depressed about it. I kept putting the work off as I thought it was hopeless, but Original Richard came out, patched all the cracks and it looks amazing! They were professional and very kind. They found more cracks then I knew I had so it turned out to be a larger project than anticipated. Original Richard was very fair with the price for the extra work (and it was a LOT of extra work). I can't thank Original Richard and his team enough for transforming my house. I just bought another home (I must be crazy) that needs a bit of stucco repair. Much less thank goodness, but rather than waiting, I plan to get them on the site to make the repairs right away.

I decided to be cautious and hired Original Richard's to do a small patching job first before committing to a job of larger scope. My husband and I decided that if we were happy with the small job, we would hire them for a much larger and more complete drywall patching job. Their work was great, so we hired them to do the larger job, too. We had received bids from four different drywall/painting companies. Well, three, actually, because one of the contractors made an appointment but didn't show up. We decided on Original Richard's because they were very professional and had the experience we were looking for. They always had a large enough crew (3 for the small job and 6 for the larger job) to accomplish the work in a timely manner. They made sure my floors and furniture were taped and protected and finished within 3 days. They always arrived on time and cleaned up thoroughly afterward and matched the texture of my existing drywall perfectly. The paint job looks great, too! I have more drywall and paint work in my house, and I will hire Original Richard's again. I recommend them highly to anyone who needs drywall repair and/or house painting.

Richard and his crew did a stellar job. We have smooth plastered ceilings and did not want to go with a texture and they did an incredible job on the repairs and removal. We had a bit of unknown we had to deal with because of the paneling on the living room wall. We had no idea what we would find behind it or what some of the electrical would entail. Richard gave us his best guesstimate on price on that one issue, and was flexible with us on making decisions on the fly based on what we discovered. (It wasn't pretty). Not surprisingly we added a couple of changes during the project. Richard was more than fair on the additional pricing varying our first estimate by only a couple hundred dollars. This is inherently a messy job and since it involved most of the rooms in our small home, it could not help but be disruptive. Richard's team led by his son one day and Rubin the next two days made it as easy as could be expected, and Richard was on site for much of the time too. When he was not present, if a question came up he was immediately available by phone. They worked a very long day the first day in order to get the removal done in one day and remove all the plastic draping. When needed, they moved all the furniture for us. When we first had Richard give us a bid and discuss the project I had no idea what to expect price wise. I did get one other estimate from another highly recommended Angie's contractor. I liked that company very much as well and both bids were equivalent. Because we had electrical and possibly other unknown issues on the paneled wall, I decided on Richard as he has a general license and the other company was primarily plastering/drywall and would have had to coordinate with independent electrical and moulding contractors. We have already had Richard give us a bid on some further work and absolutely recommend him.

The workers were kind, neat and did an amazing job. I was particularly impressed by the extra care taken in prepping the area as well as the floors surrounding the bathroom to minimize mess and prevent any damage to my hardwood floors.

Steve and David showed up on time one week after I purchased the deal. Communication with Jacky at their office was efficient. She asked that I supply the sheet rock and 5 minute mix. They arrived on time and did not waste any time setting up and completing the task. They are both clearly very skilled craftsmen and took care and pride in their work. It took them 90 minutes to complete the job (3 man hours). I was very pleased with the entire experience and would use them again. $450 breaks down to $150/hr per man hour, which is steep, but, they did and excellent and efficient job and that is by far the most important thing to me.

Richard is very helpful and dependable and Jackie in his office is a jewel.

He offered some good suggestions and it was obvious he was an expert. Since his price was reasonable, we agreed to have the stucco repair done. The crew arrived on time to repair the stucco, which had been damaged by water wicking up the wall from the ground. It was a mess. They did such a great job that we decided to have the house painted at the same time?also at a reasonable cost. After the stucco dried, a second crew of about 6 workers arrived to paint the exterior of the house, including the trim. It took them only two days because there were so many workers. They matched the color we wanted perfectly and applied two coats of paint to stucco and trim. They were directed by Ruben, who was a pleasure to work with. Richard, the owner of the company, was also on the scene, dropping by periodically to check on quality and progress. We couldn't have asked for a better result?and we're fussy about quality. They're good people to work with.

Was fast and easy. Hadn't originally planned for the retexturing, but glad we did. Can't even tell there was any patching in that room. Good job, fast, professional and good about protecting the furniture and floors from debris and paint. Very happy with the entire job.

If you are a fan of old school fresh Pandesal straight out of the oven into the paper bag, then get here early! Its da besssss!!! and its old school pricing too!!! Also got da fresh steamed manapua, and homemade baked manapua wit portugee sausage inside! Oh man...screw da diabetes AND your weight loss plan (just for the morning) and go there!!!

We had the acoustic ceiling removed in three bedrooms and five closets by a different company, and needed them all refinished and textured. After I called, Richard came out exactly when promised to look everything over and give us an estimate. After we agreed on a day to get the work done, Richard came to our house at 7:00 AM and began taping. Steven showed up about an hour later and together they finished up the taping. Steven then proceeded to begin working on the skim coat, while more crew people showed up throughout the day. They finished at around 7:00 PM as it was getting dark and cleaned up. Richard came back around then to walk through with me and make sure I was happy with everything. We then spent the next few days moving into the house, and I didn't get a chance to look closely at everything until that Friday. While the vast majority of the work had been done very nicely, a lot of the edges and more difficult parts of the closets had not been finished very well. I called them back that day, let them know what I saw, and without hesitation they agreed to come back out the following week. Steven came out as promised and then proceeded to do a fantastic job finishing up all the corners, edges, and tight spots, and even some damage on the walls close to the ceilings the previous company had done. All in all, the work took some time, but it was at a fair price for solid work. In addition, everyone I spoke to was kind, courteous, and very accommodating.

Original Richard and his staff were outstanding! From the very beginning, all terms and conditions of the contract were clear and accurate and performed just as written. Each stage of the process, sand blasting, brown coat and stucco were carefully explained before they were done. And, a quality upgrade was provided without any change in the original agreement. The staff, both in the office and in the field were always courteous and professional. I am extremely pleased with and proud of the beautiful result. I would recommend Original Richard to anyone without the slightest hesitation.

The crew arrived on time and they let me know what they would be doing that day. They took time to make sure surrounding area was covered. Area to be painted was pressure washed, sanded & prepped.. Work was completed on time. Surrounding area was left very clean. Crew was friendly and professional. They did an excellent job ! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

It went great for most of the walls but the job went on all day into evening and the last part of the job was not done up to par, nor was the cleanup up to standard (in their defense, it had had begun to grow dark). I reached out to the company and they were fabulously responsive, sending out a team a day or two later to make sure the job was done right and it was! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend Original Richard.

Edgar arrived early and surveyed our property. Jose arrive about an hour later. Edgar left to pick up more supplies. Jose was busy scraping and making the surfaces ready for new stucco. They worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend Original Richard.

Very prompt service and the stucco process lasted a little over 1 week. They had as many as 8 people working on the job and the lead guy was very polite and answered our questions thoroughly. They were fastidious about cleaning up which was impressive considering how messy stuccoing is. They then did some painting of the back wall which did not need re-stuccoing. The price was reasonable considering the amount of work required and I cannot think of anything they could have done better. It was a professional job done with a contractor that respected us as a customer and worked hard to please us. I highly recommend this contractor for your needs in his area of expertise.

The crew arrived on time and we showed them areas to be repaired. They worked hard and checked several times to make sure we were happy with the work. They were polite, worked neatly and cleaned up very well (no messes left behind) Now the wall looks as good as new. We are very pleased with the work and will definitely hire Original Richard for future work at our home.

After reading the rave reviews, I contacted Original Richard for a quote. I spoke and corresponded with Jacky, sending her photos of all needed drywall repairs and specs as she requested. Two days later, Steven arrived to provide an estimate. He was friendly as we walked through the house, and he provided a written estimate before he left. Observations that dissuaded me from choosing Original Richard: ? My efforts to take measurements and send photos of the repair areas were pointless and did not appear to be utilized at all. ? Steven did not provide me a business card when asked, even though he claimed to have some in his truck. ? We toured the house, and I pointed to each of the patchwork jobs needed. While reviewing the written estimate, I noticed that two areas I mentioned and asked to be included were omitted (out of 8 total). ? The quote was for $1275, 80% more than what was quoted from another highly-rated and Angie's List reviewed business. That estimate may have been higher, especially since it did not account for 25% of the job that was excluded from the written proposal. ? Steven agreed to get back to me regarding my inquiry about possible promotions and coupons the company had advertised. I have yet to receive a call (5 days as of this review submission). Although I decided to use another company's services, I wish Original Richard and the family business well. 40+ years in the industry should count for something; improved follow-through and comprehensiveness should sustain it even longer!

We had a hole in our family room ceiling due to a pipe that leaked, so we decided since we had to get it patched and the ceiling painted, we'd take the opportunity to have recessed lighting installed, which we'd been talking about doing for a while. We wanted a company that could do both...the electrical and the drywall. Scheduling an estimate with Richard was quick and easy. Due to my travel schedule, we couldn't schedule the repairs as soon as we originally thought we could, but Jacky in their office kept following up with me. Once scheduled, Javier showed up on time and they got the job done in a day and a half. Richard called and stopped by both days to check the work, which I thought was nice. Would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Steve, Hector, and Roberto arrived about on time (traffic) and got immediately to work. They helped us move out the larger pieces of furniture to make room for the work and completely covered the rest. I have not found ANY paint spatter anywhere in the past two weeks. Steve is a wonderful drywall repair technician. He had to remove some water damaged drywall in the bath and the one bedroom and we can't tell where the patch is at all! He was even able to match the texture in the bedroom. In the hallway, Steve fixed a very amateurish drywall job (done by me!! :}) and fixed 4 holes made by our electrician in the living room from some electrical repairs we had recently. Again, I can't tell where he patched the walls! Hector and Roberto did a wonderful job on the trim in the bedrooms and bathrooms. All the repair work was completed the first day and much of the priming that had to be done was completed as well. On the second day, Hector and Roberto painted and painted. They are very fast, very thorough, and very neat! Love 'em both! At the end of the second day, Hector and Roberto helped us move the heavy furniture back into place. Especially our very heavy stationary bike. I don't think hubby and I could have gotten that monster back into its room by ourselves. Thank you, Gents!! All in all, we would highly recommend Original Richard for any and all paint jobs. We will be using them again, probably for exterior repairs and painting next time. Oh and by the way Richard, the owner, is a very personable gentleman. He also is very sensitive the to cost of the job. He recommended to us that rather than remove all the old trim in one of the bedrooms that we simply paint is and match what was remaining. We appreciate his understanding and professionalism!!
