The crew showed up on time every day and completed the job within the estimated time. My home looks beautiful and I couldn't be happier. i had lots of cabinets that required a great deal of preparation and sanding and they now look brand new. I highly recommend Original Richard.

Throughout the entire process, from 1st phone call to completion of work, went very smoothly. Prompt estimate, questions asked and answered quickly, schedule of work was easy, showed up for work on time, work looks to have been done correctly, left the job clean and clear from any debris. Richard scheduled a visit to give me an estimate of the cost of the job. He was very professional, and answered all of my questions completely. He also asked me a lot of questions, to clarify exactly what I wanted and how much work needed to be done. I felt he took a real interest in the job and wanted me to be satisfied. The cost quoted seemed very fair. The painters arrived on time. There was some confusion about the type of paint--flat or semi-gloss--which was entirely my fault, as I had looked at the wrong can. Hector, the supervisor, was very patient and happy to get the paint needed. I was impressed with how neat the painters were, and how carefully they covered floors and surfaces. They finished the job a day ahead of schedule, and after cleaning up the area, insisted on moving the furniture back where I wanted it to go. (My husband and I had moved it away from the walls in preparation for the painters' visit.) Everyone from Richard, to Jackie in the office, to Hector and his crew were a delight to work with. I could not recommend Original Richard more highly.

Remodeling can be so stressful but not if you get these guys! I called their office and was greeted with a cheery and competent voice. To me so important. She was happy to schedule me for an appt with Richard immediately. He came out to see us at 6PM! That to me said a lot. We were very impressed with Richard's knowledge and he made great recommendations to us on our project. The price was doable. When his guys showed up you could tell this was going too go well. They came in with a mission. They were professional,courteous and knowledgeable. They never messed around. I only wish the other workers I had here would have taken notice. The job was done beautifully and I was asked to come and inspect it by them. They cleaned up everything and it was like no work had ever been done. On top of this Richard the owner called to make sure I was pleased with the job. I have now called them back to do some other work that was going to someone else. Richard can be so proud of his employees and himself. Do not hesitate to call them.

I chose to go with this company, because of their excellent Angie’s List reviews, years in business, and their ability to meet my timeline given that my family would be coming in 3 weeks. They were able accommodate an earlier start than originally discussed. They arrived very early in the morning and got to work immediately prepping the rooms. They worked on Saturday and completed both rooms in 4 days. This is a family run business with a team that has an excellent work ethic. My interactions with everyone was extremely positive from Steven (estimator), Jacky (office manager), Richard (owner), Drywall & Painters (David, Juan, Hector, Roberto), and (Electrical) Irv. Upon completion, I requested an Unconditional Release & final invoice which was promptly provided. There were a couple of minor items that were collateral damage in the process, but they were replaced and reinstalled by the company. Because parts of the un-damaged walls & ceilings were heavily textured, it was extremely important to have the new walls & texture blend with the existing. The drywall was well done. The team re-textured the wall 3 times to ensure the match was seamless. The paint job looks great, too. The team ensured each room was clean each day and any materials were neatly stored and covered for use the next day. Additionally, they were kind enough to patch a couple of holes in our bathrooms for no extra charge. We are so pleased with the outcome. We would definitely use them again and recommend them for their work quality, attention to detail, and customer service.

The Original Richard bid was fair, they were great about scheduling the work and honoring the bid. The two guys that performed the work were professional, kept the work area clean and did a phenomenal job. I couldn't be more pleased with the work and the level of service I received. I will DEFINITELY hire them again!

1st day wk had a language problem. The next day everything was resdeaged, workers were professional and cleaned up afterward.

The job went well. We have a two story home so the crew had to use long ladders to access the roof trim and eves. They sanded, patched and painted the wood trim perfectly. The deck that they repaired and painted is like new. They also overcame some issues with the lack of evenness of our internal entryway wall when patching the drywall around the newly installed front door. Everything was performed professionally, on-time and as contracted. I would certainly use Original Richard again, in fact I contracted a follow-up to perform additional cosmetic fixes to the drywall around the front door and to patch the external stucco around the new door. Those last two jobs should be performed soon so I will add to this review after completion.

Service providers were very professional, courteous, and completed the job quickly with minimal mess. My only complaint is that their deposit taking process is a little clunky.

I'm happy this company is so successful they don't need my job. But it would have been nice if they would have rejected the job instead of just ignoring me. If the day comes when I have a large project I guarantee you I will not contact this company. Not nice.

Given that we are living with mistakes made in the hanging of crown moldings in the rest of the place 86 years ago, it is important to me that they are done so that they are pattern matched and look seamless. When I asked them to confirm that every effort would be taken to do that, I got a response that they don't guarantee their work, as plaster can be hard to work with, but do a better job than most. They then pushed me to confirm the job again, but their response made me more nervous, so I asked again. They then declined to work for me, as I was being too difficult, but all I need to hear is that they do make the effort to match the pattern at the seams etc. I don't think I am out of line to ask about workmanship when hanging very expensive moldings, especially as the moldings supplier urged me to be very careful on my choice of installer.

The job went flawlessly from the bid to the final product. The staff are very professional and polite. The work was very good quality at an acceptable price. Very happy with the final product.

The workmen showed up as scheduled and got the repair done as agreed upon in less time than expected. You'd never be able to tell that a repair was made, it looks just great.

Could not fault this company at all. The owner of the company came out to view the job and give us a quotation. He showed up when he was supposed to and gave me a written quote with several options as we had discussed. His pricing is very fair. Being in business for as many years as Original Richard has been, it shows in his professionalism and the organized process which took us from the beginning to the end result. I coordinated everything through his office staff, Jacky who was very nice to work with. Original Richards workers showed up on the day on time and were extremely polite and cleanly dressed. They did a great job of masking everything off so none of our carpet was exposed but covered with plastic. The job was done in a day and the results were excellent. I would highly recommend this company.

The guys were courteous, punctual and did a great repair job .

This was a big job (big enough where you might expect a few hiccups,) but these guys pulled it off professionally, punctually, meticulously, and delivered a great product. Jackie in the office was always available to take calls or return calls quickly. Edgar ran the job on site like a champ and his guys were friendly and very hard working. Edgar took the time to test some final colors with us and we couldn't be happier with how the project turned out. Highly recommend this company.

This was one of the rare times when a company did exactly what they said they would do and with a wonderful result. The estimator arrived on time to assess the damage and give me a written bid. I was able to schedule the work within a week. Steve said they would make it look really nice and they did. You would never know there was a repair. I've painted one of the rooms so far and it looks terrific. We had to have other walls repaired back in 2010. That company did a good job, but Original Richard's crew was better. On time, on budget, high quality work, by a professional crew. I would definitely hire them again.

This was the third or fourth time we've used Original Richard, and similar to the other times it was great work. We needed one section of our first floor painted, and wanted to add crown molding to the entire floor. Richard was able to get us an estimate promptly, and the estimate was very reasonably priced, so we accepted. They showed up on time as usual, prepped the floor, and started working. Once finished, the fully cleaned up and made sure all furniture was back where it was originally. I can't tell you how happy we are with their work. The crown molding really gives the place a beautiful look. We will continue to use their services.

I found Original Richard on Angie's List and I saw all the positive reviews and a deal for Popcorn ceiling removal so I gave them a try. They did my entire condo and they were responsive, on time, helpful and their workmanship was spot on. I've never left a review before but I felt compelled to do so. With popcorn ceilings things could get messy and my condo is full, but they were so careful, I only had to do minimal vacuuming and dusting afterwards. They took care of everything and finished on time. I've decided to use them again to repaint my place as a result.

I first checked Angie's List for someone near by who had many recent reviews, which were all excellent. I called on a Friday to see if they were interested in such a small project. They asked for details of the work and for photos, which I was happy to provide. After texting the photos and discussing the project on the phone next I was given a bid and told they could come out and do the work the next day if I was interested. Of course I was thrilled to have my project scheduled so quickly, I was told it would take a portion of two days since the intermediate coats had to dry. The two gentlemen came out right on time Saturday morning, looked over the job and began work. They were very efficient and careful not to make a mess or damage the plant material around the spa wall. They kept me posted on the progress of the project and told me they would need to come back the next business day since this day was very damp, almost sprinkling and they said the stucco would not dry sufficiently to put on the finish coat until Monday. Bright and early Monday they were back, got right to work and finished in no time. The work was beautiful quality, the men were friendly and very professional. Richard, the company owner called and asked to come out later that day to review the work and collect the payment. He was right on time, went over the details of the work and answered any questions that I had. I was so impressed that he came out to check the quality of the work and make sure that I was satisfied. I can't recommend this company highly enough, they were outstanding in every way. Bravo

This was an excellent experience from start to finish - from the estimate process to the follow-up. We did have an issue following the job that was resolved to our complete satisfaction. Estimate: The process was efficient, professional, on time and a reasonable price. They accommodated our schedule for both the estimate and the job itself. The job: The crew started early in the morning and worked all day to do the job in one day, minimizing the inconvenience of having the rooms cleared. They covered everything with plastic - walls, windows, doors, floors and large furniture not moved - and did their absolute best to keep the mess contained. (But, this is a messy job, so expect to still do a lot of dusting of everything after it's done, even after their maximum effort to contain it.) The quality of the work and appearance of the new ceiling was excellent, but we were concerned about the edges. The follow-up: This was probably the most important part. We opted to prime and paint the new ceilings ourselves, but we were unsure of how to deal with the gap that existed between the wall and the new ceiling. We had been told to caulk the gap, but it seemed too large and rough in some places, and we felt the edges just weren't right. We emailed them some pictures and asked them to come back out and take a look at the edges and advise us on how to deal with it. They came out the next day following the email and did more than just look and advise. They filled in and smoothed the gaps along the edges and then caulked, making it much more ready for us to prime and paint. They did the work quickly and efficiently and in a friendly manner, just as they had been when they did the original job. Communication: This part of the experience was absolutely spectacular. The communication process with this company centered around Jacky, who scheduled the estimate, did appropriate and timely confirmation of the job date, dealt with the follow-up questions, and kept track of our multiple phone numbers, email addresses and uniquely difficult schedule. Because of her communication, we were never in doubt about any aspect of the job. She was easy to talk to and her attention to detail and quick responses to calls and emails were truly rare and special, and very much appreciated.Thank you, Jacky! Bottom line: The work was excellent, our concerns were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction, and the communication and follow-up throughout the whole process was great! Thanks to all of you!
