Seth and his team were excellent. We had contacted several landscapers and Seth was by far the best choice. He was extremely responsive and handled changes wonderfully. Everything was thoroughly explained. His crew was easy to have around. The work was completed on time, even with extra additions. We will absolutely use Seth again and give him an excellent recommendation.

When we decided to remodel our back yard, we thought we knew what we wanted. So we called a number of landscapers (at least 6 ? some from here on Angie? List and a couple from Craigs List), asked a thousand questions and as a result learned a great deal about all kinds of things we did not know about this kind of undertaking. This also resulted in a several modifications of our original plan. Seth Pompey came out to our home a number of times and patiently listened to our modified plans and helped us with budgeting, logistics and basic planning. Seth?s estimate was not the cheapest, nor was his the flashiest presentation. Nearly ALL the estimates we received were comprehensive and offered by very obviously competent companies, making this a very hard decision to make. But we chose Seth Pompey because of the amount of experience & knowledge he brought to the job as well as his ability to relay that to us, putting us at ease in investing the kind of time and money. The crew was made up of very polite, respectful, punctual, hardworking, self-starting individuals who were each very knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. They asked me questions that provided them with the information needed to give us the outcome we wanted. They also answered my questions directly and understandably. Happily, we did not experience any expensive surprises at the end. The estimate was extremely accurate and only went over in the areas that were options included in the estimate in the first place. After the work was done, I had some very small issues and questions that Seth responded to with the same timeliness, courtesy and competency that we had experienced throughout this project. SO. Yes we would use Seth Pompey Landscaping again in a heartbeat and have no reservation in recommending them to others. Thanks, Seth!

Seth is a very attentive, professional, and courteous contractor. His crew arrived promptly when he said they would. They worked hard and fast. They cleaned up each day before they left. I was able to communicate with someone each day about the progress. I couldn't have been more happy with his services. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Seth was my second call but ended up being my choice for this project. I had received a quote from another landscaper and, as everyone should, wanted a second quote to ensure competitiveness. I had a landscape plan that was a "blue sky" plan, so I ended up having to scale it back due to cost. Landscaping can be very expensive! Seth was responsive from my first call to my last contact with him. He was willing to work with my original plan to help me scale back cost but still maintain most of the integrity of the plan. Once the design was finalized, Seth and I signed the agreement to move forward. He scheduled the project and told me exactly what would happen by what date, as well as when progress payments would be due. He was on time and on budget. I appreciated his insight on design and choosing certain plants over others. I've had to call him once since completion to adjust the irrigation and replace a few plants that didn't make it because of the irrigation and he was just as responsive. I would call Seth again in a heartbeat for my next project.

Seth's first estimate came too high for our budget. He then worked with us in detail to revamp the plans to fit our budget. We never felt pressured to go with something we weren't comfortable with. From the start to finish he and his workers were very courteous and professional. They were always on time and never missed days unless the weather dictated it. We have 3 daughters who at time were home alone while work was being done and all them commented that they never felt awkward. He came back after work was completed to take care of a couple of minor things. During the process he and my wife to get exactly what she was looking for.

Seth worked with us on the design and had suggestions to stay within our budget. He was professional, as we're all his employees. We are extremely pleased with the work he did.

Seth was one of a several that bid on the job. He was professional, on time and able to give some suggestions. We were able to see some of his work before accepting his bid. He started the job and, more importantly, ended the job, on time. His crew was great, especially Sergio. They left the job site cleaned up every night and the end result was great. We ran into a few problems along the way, but Seth dealt with them fairly with a good end result. Some minor over-runs with the job, but only after discussing with us and our agreeing with them. There were no surprises.

My wife and I recently moved into our first home and were planning on having a house warming in less than a month. At the time, our back yard, although nice, just looked dated and unkept. It was in need of a backyard "crash", however since the chances of us finding that guy at our local home improvement store were the same as winning the lotto, we opted to do it the old fashioned way and did our homework. After getting a recommendation from good contractor friend to use Angie's List, we began researching. After days of searching, reading reviews, no call backs, and disappointments, I came across Seth Pompey Landscaping (SPL), read the reviews, checked out his website and noticed one of his projects was featured HGTV, I thought I would give him a shot. Seth arrived on time to our first meeting and even contacted me prior to his arrival. He was or should I say IS very professional and easy to talk to. After showing him what we were looking to have done and exchanged ideas, he proceeded to provide me with his initial estimate the next day. Upon receiving his estimate I was pleasantly surprised to find his prices were pretty reasonable and did not have the "I was featured on HGTV" markup. With that being said, I gave Seth the green light to proceed with the project. His crew was very punctual and friendly. He initially anticipated 3-days for completion but finished in two, and the end result... beautiful! My wife and I were very happy with the result and were met with many compliments the day of our house warming. Over the course of the project Seth was very attentive and responsive to both inquiries via phone and e-mail. Seth and his crew successfully completed the first of what will hopefully be many more phases of our backyard remodel. Rest assured, we will definitely utilize Seth Pompey Landscaping for the next phases of our backyard makeover. Thanks again Seth to you and your crew!

Seth clearly knows his trade very well and was a pleasure to work with in every way. Very prompt, courteous, and professional. His proposal was extremely detailed and specified every detail. Although Seth stood head and shoulders above the other five landscapers that quoted my job in areas like professionalism, attention to detail, and all the other attributes that would suggest a quality end product, his price was very competitive (below the median). For a number of special circumstances, I ultimately did not use Seth for this particular project, but most definitely will call him for my next house. In short, based on my sampling of a half dozen highly recommended landscapers serving my area, Seth offers far and away the best combination of quality and price.

Overall I could not be happier with Seth and the work he performed. Seth is professional and prompt in his communication. I prefer email for communicating and Seth was very easy to work with over the internet. After a couple of visits to the house to measure and review the scope of work, Seth provided a quote that was competitive with many other companies I had talked with for this job (I picked Seth over 5 other contractors for this job). Seth took his time to explain the differences in pavers and paving systems, and helped us chose a style that was not only complementary to the home but also economical. Once the start date was established Seth was thorough in explaining the scope of work, how long the project would take, when the crew would be working, and what would be accomplished each day. Seth's team was hard working and respectful of the house and the neighborhood. They always showed up early in the day and cleaned up after each day's work. Seth's construction manager was very patient with my questions regarding design and patio layout- always explaining what they were doing and why. Seth was on the job site regularly and connected with me regarding progress. I wish I had more "before" photos of my house before Seth came, because the transformation is truly remarkable. The front of the house with the new walkway really pops and makes the house stand out. And the backyard with the new patio Seth installed is a great place to relax- just in time for summer! I am glad I did my "shopping" and compared quotes and professionalism from among many contractors prior to choosing Seth for my project. He really stood out as a professional that was approachable and understanding of what we were trying to accomplish with this job. I highly recommend Seth and hope that Angie's List continues to be a source of referrals for this terrific contractor! If I have any other landscaping, paver, or masonry needs Seth will be the only contractor I'll give my business to.

We interviewed several contractors that were found through a combination of on-line ratings and personal references. Seth was one of two finalists that we selected to work with. We first met with Seth in July 2011 when we were trying to figure out exactly what we wanted to do with the yard. He gave us some excellent ideas and embraced all aspects of our vision. Once we had solidified what we were going to do, he took us to three of the homes that he had completed over the last couple of years. The quality of his work was excellent. And the owners of those homes absolutely loved him and provided glowing recommendations. One part of our project involved the construction of a large water-proof balcony attached to the house. None of the yard contractors that we met with felt confident in doing that part of the job. Seth referred us to a structure specialist who we have since hired to do that part of the project. Since our yard design really couldn't be done in stages, we needed to award the job to only one contractor. During the entire process, we felt confident that we would select Seth. From the very first contact, we felt a strong connection with him and enjoyed all of our interactions with him. He was very professional, patient and thorough. I know that we would have enjoyed working with him over the course of a three to four month project. For the final proposal, Seth's pricing was on-par with the other finalist at approximately $90,000. And both offered extremely aggressive pricing as compared to many of the others we had initially explored. Ultimately, the ONLY reason that we decided to go with the other contractor was their willingness to accept all financial risk for any potential surprises. Due to the age of the property and concerns about potential costly surprises with the existing pool, spa and other areas, we couldn't afford to take any chances that the project price tag could grow beyond the contract. Seth is an amazing guy who I would happily and confidently hire in a heartbeat. Our decision to go with somebody else was agonizing. And I'm not sure that I made the right choice. If you have any landscape needs, I STRONGLY recommend Seth Pompey Landscaping.

Working with Seth was great. He is a true professional and his team is on time, clean and quick. I found Seth on Angie's List and met for a quote. We met with a few others landscapers and we selected Seth. Everything went as planned. A big plus for me is that Seth uses email which made communication much easier.

I sent an e-mail to Seth and he was quick to respond by e-mail. He then contacted me by phone and set up an appointment. I shortly received an e-mail from another person letting me know that he couldn't make the appointment. He called later stating he was recuperating from a foot ailment and that he would call me back when he was better, most likely the following week. He never did, so I hired someone else. Although I believe he did his best in following up with me, for the most part, in the midst of his illness I still believe someone could have contacted me to let me know he would have to postpone the estimate indefinitely instead of leaving me hanging.

From first contact with Seth (the owner) it couldn't have went any better. He came to the house and was very helpful with ideas. We exchanged many emails and phone calls until we were both sure of what I wanted. The craftsmen arrived on time everyday and always left the job site clean. The craftmen were knowledgeable and polite. The workmanship was excellent. We plan on using this company again. Exceptional and our house has been featured on HGTV! I highly recommend Seth for small and large landscaping projects. Project started on Sept. 15th and was completed at the end of December, in 3 1/2 months. It was a complete remodel of the front and backyards from grass and concrete to new landscaping throughout with new plants, lights, drains and everything mentioned above. Seth worked closely with the pool contractor and patio contractor to coordinate everything.
