The move went smoothly. Kelly, Lawson, and Mario were very professional and courteous. They moved all the requested items under the estimated time. I would definitely reccomend this company.

The workers were pleasant. They were good. The moving from the storage facility to the house was a couple of hours. The moving from one apartment to the other one and it was right next door, I thought it took a little longer than what I would have thought, but I was not there.

Unbelievable. John, Chloe and Kelly were the greatest. They didn't break a thing. The prices were the cheapest and customer service had to be 10 times better than the mover who quoted us 4 times as much because they "move the stars". Also, John was all business no matter how much we tried to spoil them. He really stayed on top of things during hot and humid conditions, working with storage for 45 days and recognizing our needs. Our experience with Roy Mathis Moving was outstanding. Heard a lot of horror stories about moving companies; NONE of them applied to Roy Mathis Moving. They were very responsive; did not leave us hanging waiting for phone calls. Price was better than the two other estimates we got. We liked the fact that they did not mix our possessions with others during the move; the move was directly from out old house to the new house the next day; no layovers or side trips. The moving staff were courteous, asked appropriate questions, and even provided suggestions to help us preparing for the move. There were no gimmicks, hidden fees, tricks, etc. usually associated with moving companies. Staff was careful with our possessions and efficient. Would definitely use them again!

We paid the two men $50 a piece. We have a two-story house and we wanted a couple of chairs upstairs and a couple of chairs down stairs as opposed to where they were. So we had somebody do that.

It went well. The movers were extremely professional in their knowledge of moving, were on time, and got right to work. They even made a stop at the local Goodwill for us to donate some unwanted furniture on the way out of town. Then, once they got to our house, they moved a sofabed up to another room so that my father's furniture could go into the room where the sofabed had been located. Although we had struggled to move it, they were able to do so in a matter of minutes. It's amazing how smoothly things go when you have people who know what they're doing! In addition, there was no damage to any furniture or walls in either moving location. I have used movers before, and have always had some minor damage occur. Thanks for a professional, helpful, and smooth move!

John and his team helped us twice. The first was to unload our truck into a storage area after we relocated to California. Secondly, he moved our stuff from storage to our house after we found where we wanted to live. He and his guys are exceptionally careful with your items- highly recommended. Estimates are always within a reasonable wiggle room. When he moved us into our place in August of 2014, he felt one of his guys wasn't "on his A game" and was "dragging a bit" so he discounted our final bill. I didn't notice and would have been fine with the original cost, but John cares about his business and that is refreshing to see.

We had an Angies List special for local moving. The guys were on time an worked very fast ( still being very careful with my mother's furniture and antiques). They got the job done under the allotted time so no coverage charges. They guys were both professional and friendly. They went the extra mile to be nice to my elderly mother and commented on some of her special items, like a framed photo of my father in his Army uniform from WWII. Instead of my mother being nervous and worried about her special momentos she delighted in telling the movers about them as they unpacked them and commented on her treasures. This crew were the absolute perfect movers for our needs.

It went great. We hired Mathis Moving to pack and move my parents from Brea to Simi Valley. They were prompt, professional and careful.

We actually used them twice - May 2013 - Moved from 5 BR house to 3BR apartment and some items went to Storage unit. All within 30 mile radius.Everyone handled our belongings with care and consideration. NO broken or lost items! Work done on time and very slightly under quoted amount. Calls, questions and concerns were addressed promptly and appropriately. Workers were courteous, punctual and professional. Dec 2013 - Moved from 3BR APT and Storage Unit to 4 BR house 150 miles away. Again SAME COMMENTS as above. EXCELLENT - HIGHLY RECOMMEND - WOULD USE AGAIN

The guys were prompt, clean, not creepy and did a great job.

John and team were superlative. I have very large, valuable antiques which necessitated a great deal of care in moving, arranging as well as knowledge about how to treat and transfer these pieces.. John and his team, Kelly, Charro, Mark and Lawson were amazing. They were extremely careful, respectful, considerate and worked tirelessly to get the job done. They moved both to my new residence and to a storage unit. John was extremely honest, forthright and considerate. Not one scratch, loss or break. When I thought something had been lost in the move he was very responsive. Turned out it was here all the time, but he was willing to work with me for a positive outcome had I not located it. I have already recommended him to two different families and would use them again in a heartbeat!!

(9:30)Arrived on time with two men who had professional attitudes and strong work ethic! Fast, helpful and ready to move mountains! Completed the whole move from Whittier to West Hollywood in under six hours!! Very positive, nothing was an issue.Not a scratch on a wall or furniture, both knew what they are doing. I strongly recommend these guys, Fidel was one of the crew, butI forget the other gentlemen's name.

I was very unhappy with them. I was very disappointed. They came and I told them what was to be moved. They totally disregarded what I said. They did not take proper care of my items. They lost things. Two of my plugs were damaged. I’m still missing one box. To top it all off, they asked for a tip. When they got here, I had marked my boxes and everything. They were totally unresponsive. They were overpriced. They were at my house on time.

Both men were very friendly and answered all our questions. They did a great job and worked really hard. When they were unloading the furniture they were very patient putting everything where we asked them to. Even moved the bed after we told them to put it in one place and then changed our minds. We had another quote for $2,000! Glad we made the decision we did.

This company was fantastic!They were extremely professional and courteous, meticulous in their care for our belongings, on time, and they even helped us pack some of the things that we weren't able to get to in preparing for the move. This was a tough move for us; we had lots of stuff (well over 100 boxes plus large furniture pieces and frames/art) and were moving across town, but they handled it with ease - despite the fact that our new condo was on the third floor and itself has two floors. We were amazed at the ease with which they handled items like our 73" big-screen TV, our large, glass dining room table, and our oak entertainment center. This was by a long shot the best moving experience we've ever had! The crew leader (Kelly) was awesome; he briefed us and kept us informed throughout the entire process. He even brought in a few extra hands to ensure we remained on schedule. I highly recommend this company and would use them again in a heartbeat! Thanks!

Excellent service. We were moving 6,500 square feet and 17 years of accumulated furnishings and "stuff". It was a huge job. John was very flexible about scheduling the pack up and move over several days to accommodate some work that we were doing at the new place and to avoid nightmarish hours. The whole crew was extremely nice and very professional. The move included antiques, a baby grand piano, and a pool table, and all of these items were handled with appropriate care. The price was very reasonable in comparison to other quotes we obtained, and unlike the other movers we contacted, John was focused on how to handle everything we had rather than on telling us what we would have to do ourselves. I highly recommend them.

I can't say enough good things about the whole experience. Mark & Lawson were so professional, fast, careful and concerned about time and making me happy. They both seemed like they enjoyed their job and proud to be employed by Mathis Moving Lawson said they were all like family. I used Mathis in 1977 and so glad I found them again.

I miscalculated and they actually had to make it in 2 separate moves. They have to unload and go back and get the second load. It's the third time we've used them because we liked their work. We asked for the same movers from the company and I had forgotten that since the move before that, we had acquired more furniture so it's my fault. They could have brought a bigger truck and I wasn't thinking when I asked them to move us. They're really good and we like them. They do everything and we are very happy with them.

Three polite, hard-working, fun men showed up punctually and moved our entire home furnishings for 10 1/2 hours. They were very professional and a joy to work with all day. Great attitudes!

My wife initially spoke with Mike who answered the phone at Roy Mathis. He was extremely professional, caring, and understanding. He was also very flexible with dates and times, and had not problems with us making changes, and showed a particular sensitivity to the stress that moving causes people. The crew that came to the house, run by John, was outstanding. They were on time, very professional, handled everything with care, wrapped furniture with plastic and/or blankets for protection, put runner on carpet to protect from staining, and did not damage one item...three man crew on move out for 3 1/4hours and four men on move back in for 2 hours. John was very sensitive to my wife's particular obsession with having things in their perfect place, and took the time to make sure to check with her on the placement of all heavy furniture. The only one suggestion I would make to them would be to make sure before handling certain furniture after being unwrapped such as mattresses that their hands are clean or they wear clean gloves. At one point I did ask two of the gentlemen moving our bed to please wash their hands, which they did in an instant without issue, and at the conclusion of the job we found no dirty hand prints. I would definitely recommend this moving company based on our recent experience, and we will likely use them in the future when we move from here.

About one month before my move, I called Roy Mathis Moving to make a reservation. Sandy was very helpful, explained the services and the cost, and we agreed on the date. Three men (including Kelly, the 'lead') arrived at the scheduled time, 8:30 a.m. and by 3:30 all of the contents from the previous house were moved into the current house. This also included hooking up my appliances (refrigerator, washer and dryer), setting up furniture where I wanted it and leaving boxes and other objects where I wanted them. There are many positive points about this company, and I will list a few below: ?they charge by the hour, so the better prepared you are to move, the lower your cost will be. ?they provide wardrobe boxes for the move without charge [I needed 10!], and they unpacked them and hang clothes where requested ?they ask where you want things, and don't mind if you change your mind ?they are extremely professional and courteous ?they are careful with your stuff!

They were faster than I was and so there are still a few things in my garage that I cant get to because they were put there before I realized and it is taking me longer to sort and unpack than I planned, tho that's NOT their fault!

These guys are fantastic. Thought the price was a little high to start but there speed and care in packing was the best I have seen in years. Cost actually ended up being less than I had planned. I highly recommend these people.

Arrived on time and quickly yet carefully moved large pieces of furniture in a confined area without causing any damage.
