Description of Work: As a first time customer, Ronnie, went out of his way to make the process easy for me. My faucet hose sprung a leak right before Christmas. He tried to locate the part but it had to be sent from the manufacturer; even though they were very busy, they came back as soon as the part arrived.

+ -1 moreExtending the pipe below the electrical service panel at least 18" to one side of the panel went well. My only dissatisfaction is that, due to the length of the pipe, it is not rigid and it springs when pressure is applied to it. I will now have to ask the plumber to attach a bracket to the pipe to secure it to the wall so that it will be rigid. We had to ask the plumber to return, regarding the valve job. We had asked him to do it on a previous visit. He worked on it for a short while and reported to us that it was fixed. After he left, we tested it and found that it was still incorrectly reversed (the arrow on the handle pointing to the blue on the escutcheon yielded hot water & the arrow on the handle pointing to red yielded cold water). When we called him back and pointed out that the problem was not corrected the previous time, he also tried to argue that we were wrong. But we insisted that he follow the instructions. He finally did and the problem was corrected.
Description of Work: We plan to upgrade our electrical panel. There was a pipe with a spigot exiting the wall directly below the existing panel. Edison would not approve the upgrade unless the pipe was either shortened to within 6" of the wall or extended to at least 18" either side of the existing panel's vertical edge. The job had been botched by a previous contractor, but R K Knight did the job correctly. It was approved by Edison & now the electrical upgrade can proceed. In addition, another previous plumber installed a new shower valve and a new bathtub valve. Both valves were installed incorrectly, such that when the pointer on the valve handle was pointed to the blue side of the escutcheon, we got hot water & when it was on the red side, we got cold water. We had tried to get the previous plumber to correct this, but he insisted it was correct & would not do anything about it, even though the installation instructions gave directions on how to do this. On the 2nd attempt, Knight did it.

+ -1 moreHe was more than an hour late and didn't call to let me know he'd be late, and maybe that's partly why he charged nothing. He was pleasant and competent.
Description of Work: I called R. K. Knight to fix what I thought was a clogged shower stall drain. But apparently it wasn't clogged; it's just slow. The man removed a drain cover that had been stuck on, and replaced it with one that comes off easily. He charged nothing, saying that he "didn't do anything," but to us it was a big help to make that drain accessible.

+ -1 moreWe really liked the prompt service given to us by this plumber. They came right out, took care of the leak and cleaned up really well after themselves when they were done. One thing I was happy with was that they didn't mind following up and testing the unit to make sure it didn't leak anymore. A lot of other contractors would have fixed it with the water off and left.
Description of Work: We had an outdoor faucet that was leaking. They came right out and repaired it, taking about a half an hour to complete the job.

The plumber was very punctual and took the time to explain the process to me, knowing that I very likely wasn't going to hire him to do the work, since the city would do it. I called the RK Knight office and told them of my wonderful experience with their employee. I will absolutely use them, for all my future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: I wanted an outtake on my sewer installed. No work was performed, because the plumber very graciously informed me that my city had a program where it replaced the sewer line at a drastically reduced price, because it was the city's tree that was blocking my sewer line.

THEY HAVE REASONABLE PRICES, AND THEY EXPLAIN EVERYTHING. YOU NEVER HAVE TO CALL TO HAVE YOUR WORK REDONE. THEY EXPLAIN THE WORK IN TERMS THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND.
Description of Work: THEY RE-PIPED IN THE KITCHEN. THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL WAS PUT IN THE KITCHEN. A NEW FAUCET, HANDLES, AND SPRAYER WERE PUT IN THE KITCHEN.
