I called on a Friday morning to obtain a quote on replacing the gas line from my sidewalk meter to my house, about 30 feet, under a raised yard/retaining wall. Ronnie came out early Friday morning and gave me a quote and explained everything very clearly. A second company came out and tried to upsell my job and even though their bid was lower, I went with RK Knight due to Ronnie's professionalism. Our gas was off from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon, a very short time for a very big job, due to RK Knight's fantastic service. They surgically cut the trench in my yard, worked hard to get the job done, came on time and when promised and when all was done, they replaced the dirt, cleaned off the grass, exactly replaced the lawn squares they had to cut and left everything as if nothing happened. I can't say enough about this company and the people who work there. They are a rare breed- hard working and professional, responsive and they respect the property. They even took care of a rosebush they had to take out, and they replaced it where it was and it is still alive and well. Please give RK Knight your business, they really deserve it.

The technician was on time and courteous. We thought that one of our drain lines were leaking, but as it turns out the technician quickly identified that it actually was a backup in our sewer line and a leaky coupling that was failing under pressure. He was able to snake the line and discuss some of our options going forward (ie: trenchless repipe or periodically using a root treatment). He was also able to discuss some other work that we are considering and give us an idea of pricing.

They said they would do the same thing as Rooter Alert did and gave me an estimate. He gave me an estimate, explained a little bit about it, and that was it. They came actually early, called me, told me they were available to come, and I was fine with that. They came out early, once again, they came out on time, I was happy, and I was fine, they gave me an estimate. They're excellent and very good. I will definitely contact them again, I got them off Angie's List, I will try one more, and decide what I want to do.

Overall expectations where met and would recommend to others.

We called with the emergency. RK Knight dispatched someone in very short order. Workman was very courteous and professional. He drained old water heater, and replaced it with a new, superior model. We are very happy with our experience.

When I woke up to a leaking toilet and a stopped up tub, I thought I was going to have to spend all day waiting for a plumber to maybe show. But I called RKK and one of their technicians arrived promptly. He was cheerful, professional, and knowledgeable, and able to explain what was wrong and what had to be done to fix it so clearly even a layman like myself could understand. The job was done quickly and with no mess left behind. He even re-coiled my extension cord! It's that kind of attention to detail that singles out the true craftsman from the merely competent. RKK is now my go-to company for all my plumbing needs and I would recommend them to friends or family without hesitation.

We have had other plumbers out in the past. They have been unable to fix our problems, because after a short period the problems reoccured, i.e, faucet that continued to leak and a kitchen faucet that had little to no water pressure. Although, Knight was a bit expensive, they fixed the problem! Part of the expense was that an expensive faucet was selected

Our initial appointment was with Joseph who arrived promptly and was clean and courteous. He even wore shoe mitts, which no one else does but should! He took time to explain what would be involved in installing a new water softener (no existing one) to our house. He went over various options with me and called back within hours with the pricing. Being a complete novice to plumbing, I was still somewhat confused so called the office back and asked for a more detailed explanation of my various options. The office staff was always helpful and pleasant. This is a locally family owned business that's been around roughly 3 decades now and it's clear they take their job seriously. I was very impressed. Ronnie (the son) told me he would send his dad (also Ronnie) to my house to further explain things in layman's terms. Ronnie the dad showed up on time and gave me explicit details about every single option (pros and cons) available to me. When I asked if I could have the printouts, he gave me extras he had and promised to make printouts of the ones he didn't have extras of. Not only did he make the printouts, he hand delivered them to my front doorsteps while I was at work! How's that for service. Included in the printouts was a very detailed estimate listing all the costs of each option. He went so far as to list down every single pro and con (including whether or not holes -- and how many -- would have to be drilled into the existing interface for various water softener systems). I gave them a B for pricing because I got 4 bids and they were somewhat higher than the other companies. But their proposal was also a lot more detailed and written in a way I could understand. They also seemed to know what they are doing more compared to the other companies in the water softener field. Other companies proposed knocking down my entire bathroom wall (uh, I don't think so!) and some companies seemed to have issues finding the sewage drain for the water softener outlet. Armed with his carefully drafted proposal, I started researching on the different options to see what would be best for our house/family. The system I was very interested in is fairly new on the market and Ronnie the dad told me he just installed it in his own house and cannot give me a truthful assessment of its effectiveness until he's used it for some time, about 6 months. How's that for honesty! I told him that I would keep in touch with him and see how it goes after 6 months or so. He was totally OK with that. Not at all a pushy salesman. I cannot tell you how impressed I am about this company's professionalism and ethics. There is a reason why this company is such a fixture for so long in this community. From the personal attention to the hand delivered proposals and info packet to the courteousness of the office staff, I cannot emphasize how professional they were/are. He could have just sold me on a system right then and there but he didn't. He truly wants me to be happy with whatever I choose and he knew I wouldn't choose something I wasn't entirely sure about. I'm calling him back in a few months time to see how his system is performing and go from there. I will use this company for my water softener and plumbing needs in the future!

With the exception of delays due to the weather (this was during the bad rainstorms) and getting additional personnel on the job, the team evaluated and corrected the problem effectively. Joseph headed up the repair effort and I was consistently pleased with both his evaluative and plumbing skills.

Everything went perfect. They were available 24/7 which really helped out.

An appointment was set up for Tuesday, August the 10th between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. The plumber, Joesph arrived exactly at the appointed time. He explained the charges for the day's visit. He videoed the main verifying the deterioration of the clay pipe joints. He prepared an estimate for the work, which was slightly below the other company's estimate. Based on their Angie's List A rating we excepted the bid. Joesph called in and we were scheduled for the work to be performed the following day. Joesph explained in detail the process and that we would be without a drain for several hours. Joesph returned the following day, excavated the sewer clean out area. He coordinated with the crew that did the actual lining process, so he cut open the sewer just before they arrived minimizing the downtime. The crew that did the actual lining were very professional, explained in detail to me what they were doing, and I found it to be very interesting. When there work was complete ( about 3 hours), they coordinated with Joesph who returned to install the new clean out, reconnect the sewer, and fill in the excavation. There was minimal damage to the landscape, and by day's end you wouldn't know anything had happened. Overall our experience was very positive. I selected this company based on their Angie's List rating, and it proved to be a wise decision. I would definitely use this company again for plumbing.

They were very nice on the phone. Our water heater was outside, so I had them come by and leave an estimate on the back porch. We decided to use another company who's estimate was both lower and more complete on what the job entailed. i.e. the other estimate spelled out what parts would be replace in addition to the water heater itself.

Plumber arrived on time. He put paper covers over his shoes when he entered the house, to keep from tracking dirt in. He gave a free estimate, then promptly did the work when we accepted the estimate. He answered all my questions.

I had another plumber out that said I needed to spend $980 so I called RK Knight and they came out, went up on the roof, and fixed the simple problem. It was two fellows and they cleaned out some paper that was stuck. They were on time, professional, and courteous; it was a positive experience. For the quote they gave me to install a sink, they quoted me about four times higher than I was able to get it done for. The price sounded ridiculously high. Because of that bad bid that I got, I won't use them again. I used to use them quite a bit but then I started getting really high bids from them.

I called to get a drain cleaned. Costs were described over the phone and on arrival at the house. Plumber worked efficiently, cleaned up his work, and made recommendations for the future. There is an inspection charge that is charges in addition to the repair, so it was a little pricey, but professional.

The experience was good. Our kitchen sink was backing up so he snaked it and unclogged it. The service fee was $39 to come out and look at it. Then he charged $149 for the job. My husband handled most of the transaction but it was good. He had a price list sheet where the service was put under categories. Every category was priced the same. I have not had much plumbing done lately but I thought it was a little pricey. We wanted him to look at something in our backyard. He told us that it would cost us an additional $200. So we decided not to get that done. I can?t comment on the price because I don?t have anything to compare it with. I don?t know what other plumbers will charge. I thought that the $39 service fee would be applied to the whole estimate. He did not say that over the phone. The quality was good. The work is done and the sink is still working. My husband was happy with the responsiveness. He gave a time window between 2 to 4 and he was here at 2.15. In future, I would do some comparative shopping first; call different plumbers and see what they charge. Plumbers are charging in different ways. Some of them have price lists and some of them charge by the hour. It is possible that I might use him again.

It works. The repairman was very pleasant and professional.

Arrived in a timely manner. Although rather young, the repairman was able to diagnose the problem quickly and replace the broken part in our water heater without much trouble. He comported himself professionally and we were pleased with the experience. Total time was 20 minutes.

They didn't even blink at repairing the old guest house, repairing the two leaks promptly and without a problem, with the kitchen sink repaired as well. The main house's hot water tank was repaired, as well as the sink faucet leak, and the two stopped up sinks. We have finally found honest plumbers who can repair anything, even very old, fragile pipes. They were courteous, patient and knew all there was to know about plumbing. We are thrilled.

The plumbers were right on time and professional. They measured the new dishwasher and existing space to see what would need to be done. They (there were 2 of them) gave me an estimate for the plumbing work and the dishwasher installation separately. I've used this plumber for about 12 years now and feel comfortable with them. I thought the estimate for the plumbing work was fair, but the estimate for the dishwasher installation was more than I expected.

He is knowledgeable with older plumbing. They have done multiple jobs for me over the years, but they last job I called them for, they gave me a quote and stuck to the quote they gave, though the work ended up being a lot more work than they planned on. The customer service is really good. I've never had a rude plumber. They will give you a quote for what time they will come and they will be there within a two hour time frame. They have always been patient and informative if the schedule change. For what I get from this plumber, the price is an A rating.

They came when they said they were gonna come. The price was fair. They answered all my questions and told me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. They were straight forward with answers. They stand behind what they are saying and their word. The are very accommodating.

The plumbing team arrived exactly on time. Located where the leak was (a pinhole leak in a bend). They fixed the leak by soldering new short pieces of pipes and a new elbow.
