G&H Painting

All went well. The work is drying as I write. Looks great and matches well. Only complaint is a little over spray of stucco residue on my new pavers when Gary cleaned his tools. I cleaned it up when I noticed it. No worries.

The provider was prompt, polite and efficient. Couldn't be more pleased.

I purchased the angie's list deal and was instantly contacted by G & H Painting. I informed them I wasn't ready to schedule and they stated just email them once I was ready. Once I did email the company, they were very responsive and we scheduled a date. The painter arrived when stated and although it was only 1 painter (Joe) he worked non-stop the entire day. He was very professional and did excellent work. My walls look beautiful. Very happy with the service and the quality of the work.

Garry did a terrific job and was delightful to work with.

Our living room, dining room, entry and stairway have high vaulted ceilings, just over 18ft, necessitating scaffolding and extension ladders to reach the ceiling and abutting walls. It takes a professional with the equipment and skill to complete the job that also had 3 shades of wall paint and a white ceiling. G H Painting completed the work with excellent results in a timely manner.

The only reason I would not use them again is that the painter travelled from Whittier to Santa Monica and with the traffic he could not guarantee when hecould arrive. He did good work, however.

The contractor arrived on time made the repairs and finished the work in a responsible manner.

I would have preferred an earlier arrival each day, but Los Angeles is a challenging city for transportation.

Responded to an Angie's list coupon providing 3 hrs of drywall repair for $99. After a little back and forth in trying to get ahold of the contractor, we determined an appointment date. Contractor explained up front that the coupon covered labor, not materials. Also, each additional hr over the three hours would be charged at $75/hr. I had the choice of providing the materials myself, or leaving it to him. Not wanting to guess at what materials and quantities may or may not be needed, I left it to him to evaluate when he showed up. Contractor arrived at around noon; looked at what needed to be done and I agreed to a price of $150, including materials. Contractor did an excellent job not only with the drywall repair and clean-up, but especially in matching the texture coating of the rest of the garage ceiling, and was done by 4 PM, which included the time for him to drive to the hardware store for materials. The only mistake I made in my price understanding was forgetting that I already had paid $99 for the coupon, so the total price was actually $249. I figured the materials were no more than $50, plus $75 for the extra hr, so it wasn't a big deal. More important was that the job was done very nicely, and professionally.

He told me he couldn't do the job until he gets more work in this area.

G&H Painting arrived on time and ready to work. They painted several doors and they look great. I was informed ahead of time by the ad and by Garry when I spoke to him on the phone that I would need to have the supplies ready and if they went over the time allowed due to extra prep work etc, it would be an extra cost per hour. Unfortunately, I didn't get enough paint, but Garry was nice enough to run to Home Depot and pick up another can. Very pleased with his work and will use him again.

Everything was good. Garry came out reviewed the area(s) needing repairs and quickly completed the same in several hours.

Went Great! Two men showed up on time and very friendly. They asked what needed to be done and got right to work. The paint job was great and they made sure i was happy. They cleaned up everything and thanked me. Very prifessioal as i would use them again!

I was extremely happy with the services provided. Garry was punctual and courteous. He told me about the problem and situation and how he would repair and correct the problem. He explained what had caused the problem in the first place and how to prevent it in the future. He worked quickly, was very clean during the work and did not make a mess. Many others in the past had been pretty messy, but he was not. My opinion of his work is that he is detail oriented, which is always greatly appreciated. I would definitely hire him again not only for the plaster work, but also for painting and any other work he specializes in.

Gary and his crew are awesome they gave us a super fair price to refinish a bedroom. They showed up on time and there work was beyond our expectations. They finished in 2 days as they said and the best part was how clean they left the room when they finished. I cant say enough on how great of a job they did.

Gary, the contact at G&H was a little hard to reach since he was constantly traveling to job sites and providing estimates, but overall pretty responsive. After the estimate, I hired G&H a week later. Gary was there with his crew on the first day to review the plan for the house. It took about a week for the G&H crew to paint all interior walls and ceilings in the (empty) 3-bed 2-bath house, with exception to one recently remodeled bathroom. Overall, they did a good job. The walls and the "popcorn" ceiling were different colors and they did a very good job of keeping the corners clean; a bit of the ceiling's paint had made it onto the walls on the old paint job. A few walls were painted the wrong color but I may have forgotten to bring that up. However, they painted in interiors of some of the cabinets even though that was not discussed in the estimate. A few outlet covers were damaged, fasteners and screws went missing, and the stick for one of the blinds was broken. Other than that, G&H did good to work with and they offered a very competitive price. I believe better communication would have made the job go more to my liking but they met all my expectations.

The services went very good, and they did what I asked them.

The stucco job cost more than the deal by 150.00, for materials, so the $249.00 was only labor. He did an excellent job of patching, however, he did not add color. So we had to pay for paint also (above the extra $150.) While I would highly recommend him for the quality, I was disappointed that he didn't add color. To me, patching means that you match exactly what is already there (or close to it). All in all, I don't feel that there was much of a discount, but if you want quality work, then he does do that.

Bought Angies list deal. " 8 hrs. paint job." Painters couldn't even complete 1 wall in bedroom during the 8 hrs. Once reaching 4 hours began charging full price. Continued with their services only because owner/provided a somewhat reduced rate after calling him; however, Painters ended up leaving the job half done. Ceiling walls left half painted, stairwell left half pained. Charged extra for ceiling to be patched. Painter did not properly perform task causing Lumps and crack in living room ceiling. Painters walked out on a Saturday and were asked to return to finish job and they refused stating personal business.. Forced to hire another company to finish on an urgent basis because of the holiday season.
