Geek Squad - Best Buy

The quality is good. They carry top brands. Pricing is competitive. Sometimes you could get the lowest price on a special promotion on may be a TV that's about to be discontinued. I think that's what this was. It's a second TV. It's not our best one. So that's all we were looking for there. We picked it up. There was a free, I think, it was an install. So we brought it home and then some one came out and installed it. So that was nice. But they will try to sell you something like a tune up, calibration for may be a 100 bucks or something like that. But it has always been a good experience with them. They just have everything in stock. No problem! They have several stores in our area because we're a large metropolitan area. So you can always get down to one or two, you can go to a different store and pick it up. We often buy the extended warranty. I think it might have been on this occasion, the TV switch was bad or that it wouldn't power on and then we just took it back and they gave us another one. And I understand that within that period, within your warranty period, if something goes wrong they won't even kind of fix it. They just replace it. You may get an upgrade if your model has been discontinued. That's good. We buy it because we've often had bad luck with TVs and computers. We've never had to wait on the TV sets. May be years ago I think we had to wait for a dryer but recently it's just everything is always there. They have a system with cashiers and check out and all that. Sales people are knowledgeable, installers are knowledgeable. Well trained.

They are pretty good for getting electronics. We will continue to go there for certain items. We don't go there that often but we have no complaints about them.

THE BEST BUY PERSONNEL WERE VERY HELPFUL. THEY OFFERED TO MAKE GOOD ON THE MERCHANDISE. TO EITHER REPLACE OR REIMBURSE US FOR THE COST OF THE ITEM ON THE SPOT.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. THE BEST BUY PEOPLE THAT CAME OUT AND INSTALLED THE EQUIPMENT WERE VERY NICE AND WORKED REALLY HARD. VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH ALL THE KNOWLEDGE THEY HAD IN HOME THEATER INSTALLATION.

IT WAS VERY POOR. THEY WON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONES, SO YOU CAN'T CALL AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS. I CALLED AND CALLED AND GOT NO RESPONSE. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR CLEANING; DIAGNOSTICS, AND THINGS THAT REALLY SHOULDN'T BE PART OF THE REPAIR. EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT A DIAGNOSTIC, IT'S NOT OPTIONAL, AND THEY NEVER GAVE US THE RESULTS OF THE DIAGNOSTIC. IT ALSO WASN'T READY WHEN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE READY.
