Fairway Electric

Fairway Electric was very prompt and courteous and accomodating. They promised to e-mail me an ETA with a 30 minute window so I could leave work and meet them at my house. It worked like a charm. They were right on time and I did not have to wait around. They were also very careful to close and lock all doors behind them as they were going through the house and garage. Finally they gave me great advise on an automatic porchlight. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend Fairway Electric

Most of the junction boxes had been plastered over, but they found all of them, replaced the cloth wire with new, and cleaned up perfectly, all for the original quote and in less time than predicted. What a pleasure!

We had an appointment and not only did he NEVER show up he didn't return any emails or phone calls.

I spoke on the phone to Paul, who told me that I would save money by purchasing a light myself, rather than purchasing one through his company. He told me what to look for in a security light and explained the different options that I should look for, and that was really helpful. It took a few back-and-forth emails to figure out when they would come out to do the job, but Paul was very good about contacting me right away whenever I emailed him. Oscar installed the light, and he was very professional and helpful. Both Oscar and Paul were very friendly and easy to work with. Paul was very conscious of my time since I had somewhere I had to be later that morning, and he promised to be careful about not letting my dogs out in case they had to keep working after I left. (The fact that he was so quick to reassure me that my dogs would be safe meant a lot to me.) This is the second job Fairway Electric has done for me, and once again I am very happy with the result. I would call them again in an instant.

This happened on a Sat. morning. I called around and Paul called me back. He had me get 2 circuit breakers (to save money, if that was the problem, which was greatly appreciated) Tommy came out that Mon. to check them while I was at work. Paul emailed me that it was not the circuit breakers and we would need to schedule a time. I did not hear from him, so emailed later in the week. We eventually set a time the next Mon and I took the afternoon off to meet Tommy at my house. I was notified he would be 1/2 hour late. Once he was here, he went to work and I helped when he needed a second hand. After finding nothing wrong in the house or garage, he went up to the attic, where he found the problem - a short in the junction box. Evidently, the wiring was sloppy and he tidied things up, so it would not happen again. He was very professional and courteous. It seemed expensive for an hour, but I needed the work done and assumed that it would be a fairly standard rate for an electrician. It was nice to get a $15 discount for Angie's list.

We still have the final installation of the fixtures, which is scheduled next week, but the majority of work thus far has been completed. Fairway does a great job keeping in touch, both by email and phone. I liked the fact that they offered a coupon if you emailed a complete list of the work that needed to be done. That's the way we always run our construction and we have lists made in advance, so it was nice to receive a discount and keeps everyone on the same page. Fairway confirms the job, they're very pleasant, professional, and know their stuff. They provided an estimate and reviewed the estimate the day of the work so they were ready to go on the morning of the job. They came equipped with a full staff to get all the work done in done day. They called to my attention anything on which they felt we should provide further input. Since other construction was going on, they cleaned up, to the extent they could. As I mentioned, we still have final hardware installation next week and follow-up on two items, but if that experience is anything like the first, we expect a beautiful end product. Not only would we recommend them, but we would call them again in the future and we expect to. Paul, Tommy, and their crew are great to work with. I'll update after the final installation.

I spoke with Paul and described how I wanted to put ceiling fans in my bonus and bedroom. I have very high vaulted ceilings, so I knew it wouldn't be easy. Paul told me exactly what to get at Home Depot and even told me to call him when I was there if I had questions. I called 2 times from Home Depot, interrupting Paul's weekend, but he was still very helpful and took his time answering my questions. Jaime and Oscar came to give me the estimate and explain what they would have to do in order to install the fans in the vaulted ceilings. They also took their time to explain everything and give me some options. The next day, Tommy and Jose arrived and installed the fans. One of the remotes that came with the fan didn't work, so Tommy put it back in the box and told me he would be happy to come back and install a new one after I returned the broken one. Tommy and Jose did an excellent job and were very neat. They even vacuumed the bedrooms. I would call this company again!

Paul was very responsive and kept us up to date. The price was reasonable and the work was done quickly with no upselling.

After weeks of joking around by my old electrician. I decide to call Fairway Electric.Paul respond my call on a later Saturday afternoon while on a camping vacation with his family. WOW !The very next Thursday his employees shows up right on time 7AM to install a 220V outlet. By 9AM all 3 wires had bean ruined through 2 wells, connected to the box and outlet. His employees even swapped and mopped the floor.Thank You Paul...

Sent an initial inquiry through Angie's List email. Paul responded promptly. Over the course of a few emails and two phone conversations with Paul, explaining the exact nature of the job I wanted performed, an appointment was set. Background: We purchased our home in 1990. Before moving in, we had the entire electrical system redone. But over the ensuing twenty years, numerous service providers (home theater installers, cable and satellite providers, plumbers, remodelers, etc.), had each done "their thing" to the house's electrical wiring, and it had become a mess. About five years ago, my wife hired an "electrician" to upgrade our circuit board so that it could handle all the additional gizmos that had been invented and we had acquired and installed over the years. The result - no more overloaded circuits, but the system remained a mess and his labeling of the circuit board had little to do with reality. I told Paul that initially I wanted the entire system correctly mapped and labeled, a few known problems repaired, and then recommendations and an estimate for further rewiring they might deem advisable after the thorough inspection. Tommy and Jose arrived promptly at 8 AM on the scheduled day. They quickly repaired or replaced the known problems (dead wall sockets, mysterious wall switches that seemed to control nothing, redundant switches that shut off power to lamps that we preferred to turn on and off manually). They then began on the big job, one man working the circuit board, the other running through the living room, bedroom, entertainment room, two bedrooms converted to offices, garage, back and front yards, cellar, bathrooms, etc. until they discovered and recorded which circuit breaker controlled each and every appliance, water heater, indoor and outdoor sockets, overhead and outdoor flood lights, garage door opener, alarm system and so on, and a few circuits that had absolutely nothing connected to them. They judged that no major rewiring was necessary, no circuit was drawing near its limit. Their only recommendation for future work was the instillation of a dedicated line to the entertainment center (something we mistakenly believed we already had - turns out the heating and air-conditioner fan are on that same circuit). The entire job took three hours. From start to finish, Tommy and Jose were pleasant, professional, competent and hard working. We now feel like masters of our previously mysterious and confusing electrical system. The $400 charge (after the $50 Angie's discount) seemed a bit pricey when I was writing the check, but much less so a couple days later when I paid $225 to add some freon and clean the coils of our Subzero refrigerator/freezer - a one man, 20 minute job. Overall, very satisfied with Fairway, Paul, and the electricians he sent. Would certainly use them again, maybe to put in that dedicated line...

The work was done reasonably well, they cleaned up very nicely. Had a bit of a struggle with scheduling - Paul prefers to communicate via email and is very responsive, but I would have preferred that he called me to notify me his guy was coming to my house - I missed him, and rescheduling was tough. The guys were not as prompt as he promised, either time, (20 minutes late). They did place the new outlets and switches well, but they cut the wall crooked in the area they pulled trough the wires when they moved the outlets, and I found the price for that work a bit high.

The only glitch on this project was a mix-up on when the work was to be performed but that was sorted quickly and the work commenced.

One of his staff members came out to research a problem we were having. He identified the problem and corrected it. Paul is the owner and does a great job of organizing his workers. I am very happy with their service. He has you send him and email and he responds very promptly. His rates are good and he has good people.

The installation was very smooth. The electricians were extremely qualified and experienced. They were able to add a dedicated circuit in my existing electrical box and pull wires through to a new outlet located on a wall in the kitchen. In the process, they removed an old gas wall oven, moved it out to the driveway for disposal, and disconnected the gas connection it had been using. They left the work area nice and clean when they were finished.

Good customer care. Always able to contact the company (owner) by email or phone with prompt response. Very professional and friendly service. Received formal invoice the same day, electronically, showing the payment made on site. (When was the last time you were able to get what you needed from a contractor AFTER they received your payment?!)

Tommy quickly determined the root cause for our air conditioning now powering on. One of the breakers on the master switch was burned out. After replacing the master switch, he tested the other breakers and discovered that another dual breaker set was not putting out 240 volts and replaced it. Lastly, one of single 20 amp breakers looked like it burned out the panel bar, he replaced a single 20 amp breaker switch with a two 20 amp breaker switch to avoid putting a breaker on in the bad slot. During the entire process he would stop and explain what he was doing and show me the voltage readings on the various breakers. The owner did a follow up call in the evening to see if I had any questions and to make sure I was happy with the service. I was very happy with the service and will not hesitate to call them again for any electrical issue I have in the future

We had called Paul in once before, His work was excellent. I did not rate him then, but rated him now for that work. For today -- a Saturday -- he gets additional commendation. When we called Paul and asked him to do a "drive by" instead, -- remembering our set up -- he guided us by phone to find the right breaker and restore the electricity. That is service. Joan Borsten. Everyone I worked with at Fairway was very professional and pleasant. They were patient to listen to what I needed and what my expectations were. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. When there were decisions that needed to be made along the way, I was consulted before work was started so there were no surprises. I'm happy to recommend them to others and will hire them again for my future electrical needs.

He arrived on time. Very friendly. Changed breaker. I knew before they arrived that I had a expensive circuit breaker. The company that made the circuit breaker has been out of business for more than 30 years and they are 5 times more expensive than most other breakers. Was very surprised at the final price I was expecting to pay much more than was charged.

Paul the owner and one of his associates made three calls that began with a minor emergency, the blow out of an overloaded circuit serving the Master Bath. Paul took care of that in short order, efficiently and effectively. The second visit, by his associate, took care of upgrading three outlets with circuit breakers to prevent and/or ameliorate future outages. The third visit was in response to a lingering problem with the initial circuit. Overall, Paul's concern was our satisfaction. He was clearly committed to our 100% satisfaction. Dealing with a "mensch" of the first order, made the entire experience a pleasure. We have no hesitation calling Fairway again, and in giving the company an unqualified recommendation.

Great job and fair prices. I'll definitely use this company again. They really care about their customer service.

Booked the appointment and a technician came a few hours later. He handled the problem all himself without much hassle. Service was swift and properly executed.

I was pleased with them. They were well regarded on Angieslist. He was prompt and courteous. He repaired it correctly and the price reasonable.

Called this company and booked an appointment for a visit the very next day. I do not know I was lucky and they just happened to have an opening but what a great surprise to have them available so soon. The technician showed up early the next morning, and did a wonderful and professional job on the removal of old lamps and installation of the new ones. One of the lamps need to have its wires connected to a light switch panel (the light switch was wired to a nearby electrical outlet). He had no problem connecting the light switch panel to the wall lamp and fixing the wall outlet so that it operated independently. I provided my own lamps and related materials (light switch, panel, etc).

As it turned out one of the sensors was faulty and that evening the lights did not come on. I sent Paul an email and his man came back and replaced the sensors with what he described as an upgraded model at no extra cost. The lights are now turning on and off as required.
