Excellent, professional service - always on time and Fairway offered reasonable rates. The owner, Paul, was very responsive and communicated quickly via email and phone. All techs called me prior to their arrival, with a 15 minute lead time. Paul managed to send out a tech on the same day I called for service and had them evaluate the scope of the problem - and then graciously arranged to have them return on a Saturday to do the repair work. The technician was extremely professional and efficient, and knew exactly what to do - and he accomplished the repairs in record time. Would definitely use Fairway Electric again and was very impressed with their knowledge and great attitude!

It went great! They were very responsive in communication prior to our appointment, and the price was on the low range of the estimate range given over the phone which is always nice. The electrician that came out worked very efficiently and there were no surprises. He cleaned up after himself. I would definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: They moved an electrical box to the other side of the stud to accommodate the installation of wider moulding around my new front door. They also installed our new light fixture.

I called Fairway Electric about fixing two outdoor motion sensor lights that went out in a rain storm. Paul Harris called me back. He told me to go to Home Depot to pick out the lights that I wanted to avoid his markup. I also bought some LED light bulbs for all of the outside lights so that it would be a little brighter out there. When Oscar from Fairway Electric arrived, I had all of the materials ready to go. Oscar was great! He replaced all of the light bulbs in all of the outside lights without me even asking. He replaced two of the lights. Now, the outside of my house is bright and safe - And I got all of that for only $85! I have used other electricians based upon Angie's List recommendations, but I have never been so happy. Paul and Oscar are a great team. I will definitely use them for all of my electrical needs in the future.

Response from Fairway Electric
My apologies for not responding to this review sooner As much as we tried to meet the needs of this customer. The timing was not working out. Between the Holiday ( New Years Weekend ) and the late afternoon request to start work. As hard as we try. It dose not always work out.

Fairway Electric is great! I couldn't be happier with the choice to hire them. They did a first-rate job, kept their promises, and truly cared about their work. Paul was quick to address concerns from both me and my tenants and he was very proactive working with the city to get permits issued quickly. I trust Paul 100% and was very happy that I chose him over the other bidders because at the end of the day a complete rewire requires both excellence and integrity and Paul and his company have both qualities. I felt as though we were in good hands the whole time and the project went well. A couple things I wish I had known before (none of this has to do with Paul but might be helpful if you are upgrading your electrical system): - LED lights are significantly brighter than regular lights. I was worried that 25 watts would be too dark for a hallway and it turned out to be very bright - bright enough to wake you up without any coffee. I wish I had gone with the 18 watt fixtures when I was shopping for fixtures. - Many LED lights don't have replaceable light bulbs - you're supposed to just throw the whole thing out after five or ten years. Between the fixture costs and the cost of getting an electrician to install a new one, most of the savings from installing LED disappear so make sure your LED fixture has a replaceable bulb and check to see how much the replacement bulbs are when deciding between fixtures. - Lampclick.com has significantly better lighting options than Home Depot or Lowe's and the people in the La Brea store are much more knowledgable and helpful about lighting than other stores. - Wait until the very end of the project to patch and paint the holes. We used Lenny Castillo from Ole Time Painting in Burbank for both patching and painting and he was amazing. He even handled an area that was damaged from water (separate problem) and it's hard to even tell where the damaged area was once he was through with it. We patched and painted a couple units too quickly and then had to do it again after the electricians came back in to replace the smoke detectors. I should have just waited until each unit was completely ready and just put plastic over the holes during the construction time. Between Fairway Electric and Ole Time Painting the whole project was a breeze. Everyone was surprised to hear how easy it was to upgrade the property but it was really Paul from Fairway Electric and Lenny from Ole Time Painting that made the experience wonderful, stress-free, and easy.

Originally called Fairway because we thought there was some kind of electrical problem with our Sub-Zero fridge. It turned out that our fuse box was the problem. In fact, the circuit breakers were a hazard. Owner Paul Harris directed me to the internet where there was ample documentation that the circuit breakers installed by a contractor years ago was a fire hazard. We had lots of problems with said contractor so we were not that surprised that he also installed sub par circuit breakers. Paul's team of electricians came on time, performed the work diligently. They always explained exactly what they were doing. The electricians were polite, professional, friendly and (yay) fluent in English. They coordinated with my plumber because he had to move a water spout near the circuit breakers in order to comply with the (endless) city codes. Owner Paul Harris is a pleasure to deal with. Fairway are the electrical company we plan on calling for all our future electrical work.

I had a partial power outage in my house after some rain. I called Fairway Electric for a service call. Their mailbox was full, but Paul promptly called me back. After relaying my concerns to Paul, he told me what to do over the phone to fix my issue. He offered to come out within 3 hours if I was not able to correct the problem myself. I followed his advice and restored my power...for free! Now that's service. Paul was courteous. He listened to my concern and successfully worked it out over the phone. I had called another electrical company just before Paul called me back. The other company flat out told me to call someone else because they were booked for three weeks. Glad I did. I will definitely call Fairway Electric again if I have any electrical needs. Thanks Paul!

From initial distress call (which Paul handled superbly) to on-site technical services (ably done by Jaime), I couldn't have been happier with Fairway Electric's service, evn though they actually didn't end up doing any work because the problem was in one (only one) of the two 110 feeders from DWP which was shorted out in the rain (the insulation had been abraded by rubbing against a tree branch). However, they had done work on two previous occasions (2008, and earlier in 2014) and my complete satisfaction with them led me to go to them again. Awesome service and customer support. They're the best.

The service technician arrived to our home on time. He was very friendly and did a great job installing our light with motion sensor and repairing a light switch that was no longer working in our kitchen. We talked about re-wiring our home and he recommended some ways for us to complete the work so that it was not a strain on our budget. Something we had never even thought about. I would recommend this service provide to anyone and will definitely use them again.

Overall it went well. Paul gave me an estimate over the phone and when his electrician, Oscar arrived and saw the job, it became clear that more was involved and it would cost more. Having been in the building trades years ago, I understood that when you are replacing equipment that is, in this case, 35 years old, there will be surprises. We negotiated a new price, which was higher than the original estimate but lower than what Paul wanted and which seemed fair. After Oscar opened the old fan, we discovered that additional parts were needed so I had to run to the hardware store to buy them. The job took almost twice as long as originally estimated, but Oscar took the time needed to do a good job. I helped him a bit at points and he was very pleasant and friendly. I now have a new bathroom fan that is quiet and works well and I'm happy. I gave the "B" grade for price and professionalism because Paul's over the phone estimate was way off and he didn't confirm the exact time that Oscar would arrive. Luckily I was home and awake when he did arrive. I do appreciate that they came on short notice. Another electrician I found on Angie's list gave me a lower price but said they couldn't do the job until Dec 16th.

Jaime did an excellent job. He worked until the job was done. Minimal mess in spite of some drywall cutting. He was courteous and knowledgeable. In addition, I had several email conversations with Fairway via email and they were responsive. I asked them for another estimate on some 220 work and will use them to complete that job as well. The only way it could have been better is if the service were free! Very happy with the service.

Excellent. Gave me other options to consider upgrading, but with no pressure. Found two switches that needed to be replace, which I did. The only negative I can say is that he originally came to give bid on September 17th, I had to call back and he was not able to do work until September 30th. He's probably very busy, as his work is excellent.

Mr. Paul Harris is a thoughtful man. We called him and explained our problems with flickering lights and he sent his representative Carlos here while we were experiencing power surges after we had our central air and heat installed. He did not charge us for that visit. So that told me that he is a generous man. His prices are reasonable also. We will have to upgrade our panel soon and we will use Fairway Electric for that job. We are waiting now for the LADWP to finish monitoring our electric system. By the way, Carlos explained what he was doing and the cause of our problems and what he thinks we will need in the future. Great Job ! Mr and Mrs Kenneth Ripoll

I cannot praise Paul Harris of Fairway Electric enough! On one of the hottest days of the year, the master circuit breaker of my house failed, leaving me without power. As I am a cancer patient on chemotherapy, keeping the house cool is extremely important to me. Based on what we saw here on Angie's List we contacted Paul at Fairway Electric. Paul was immediately on it! He first asked if we could photograph the breaker so he could see which one we would be dealing with. But replacing the master is more of a problem than any of the others, as it requires the L.A. DWP to come out to unlock the meter housing so that the connection to the breaker box would be able to be cut. DWP came out in the middle of the night and left a note saying we needed an electrician to replace the master breaker. Great, we already knew this, but they didn't unlock the meter! Paul told us we could call him anytime day or night, so we called him and told him what happened. Granted, the DWP crews were probably swamped with similar such calls, but Paul has contacts in the DWP. Paul called them several times to light a fire under them to get to my house, telling them that this house had medical reasons to need power restored quickly. The following morning the DWP crew came back. I called Paul to tell him they were here to unlock the box, and he also spoke to them, asking them not to leave until he got there. He got here within minutes! With the meter unlocked, Paul was able to replace the bad master circuit breaker with a good one. With that, power was restored! Looking at the condition of some of the other breakers (my house is 35 years old) he made suggestions on possibly replacing the whole box, something I am giving serious consideration to having him do, as this is a fire issue. But what I want to add is this: Paul strikes me as a very honest, trustworthy, conscientious, and able person. He was there for us in our time of need in a timely manner that was above and beyond the call of duty. There is no question that I will call on him again the next time we need help, or to be the one to replace our breaker box completely. Thanks again, Paul!!

Paul was very responsive and helpful from the first call and came out on a weekend for the initial diagnosis. He did an excellent job installing a new electrical panel in a different location due to code requirements, and also dealt well with the LA DWP and city inspectors. He also did a great job running temporary power to my pool system before permanently re-routing the conduit, which saved my pool from turning green. He's fair and up front about everything. I'd highly recommend using his services.

I made first contact with Paul on a Monday. He said that he was busy and would call me back, asking for me details. He confirmed via his iPhone that he got my contact information and will call me back. A couple of days later, nothing. So, I emailed him again. He confirmed once again that he would call me, this was on a Wednesday. On Friday, I called and he did not pick-up, so I sent a another e-mail. He apologized and said he would call me on the Next Monday when it was better for HIM. Guess what, today is Thursday...and yet NOTHING. I was prepared to offer a project at about 5K, but now Paul gets NOTHING.

Yes our right C--y I have been a bit busy, I have been trying to hire employees. But I won't just hire anyone, a lot of people tend to exaggerate things. Here is your email sent on the 22nd. Hi Paul: This is C--y in Canoga Park. Could we set-up that estimate meeting for four ceiling fans on a vaulted ceiling. I am at: 7930 De Soto Ave, 91304 cel ---------- 4054 Certainty not 5K I do apologize for not working with you. Yes when things get a bit busy . I admit it I need a call or a email or a swift kick in the rear. Maybe more than once. I work from 630am to 11pm on most days to get jobs completed I can be reached at my desk on most any night. I am always on top of emergencies. We pride our self on Quality of work completed and like to keep it that way So yes this was my fault.

I bought a coupon to have a new outlet installed in my laundry room for a new water heater which has an electric starter on Sept 1. I specifically requested the work be performed on Wed or Thur of that week. I got a pretty immediate email from Fairway saying that I would be contacted on Wed. Nothing Wed or Thurs. On Friday I emailed to say that if they did not contact me that day, I would be asking Angie's List for a refund. I got an email saying it was their error and he would be in the office in a couple of hours and would contact me. They did not email about providing the service until Saturday morning by which time I had hired someone else.

Hello [Member Name], I have had this issue before Orange county is over 2 hours away on a good day with no traffic.Your area should not be in my profile. This type of service should not have been offered to you. I replied to you prior to receiving your address. There was two mistakes here. The first one was was by me not asking enough questions when we first talked. This happens when I am on the road. Also I did not look over my profile prior till tonight. I was under the impression this had be corrected. By my partner My An___'s L__t representative. As we discussed. At the end of the day it was my error. My direct estimates are less than most deals. I spoke to Paul who was really nice and he asked me to email him what I was looking to have done. I asked him If I should pick up the timers myself and he said it would save some money but he would be happy to pick them up. When I stated I wanted to save some money, he told me exactly what parts I needed. We made an appointment for 7:30 this morning and at 7:30 this morning the electrician showed up. He was friendly and got right to work. He installed all the switches and gave me some information on a few other electrical projects I planned on doing. He cleaned up after himself and was on his way. First of all, an electrician that works on a Saturday!! For those of us that work Monday through Friday this is a dream come true. No more having to take off a day of work if an electrical problem raised. Fairway electric, was professional, friendly, prompt and efficient and I would not hesitate to use them again. As I matter of face, we are already planning on installing outdoor step lights.

Everything was done on schedule and without complications or mess. Workmen were polite and punctual. No problems with approval from the code enforcers.
Description of Work: Replaced two electrical panels, main panel outside and sub-panel indoors; latter had to be flipped to opposite side of a wall because of changes in codes since the house was built (it had faced into a pantry and had to face out into a hallway). This repair restored power to failed circuits. Replaced overhead lighting fixtures that were turning on only when they felt like it and burning out fluorescent bulbs prematurely.

Paul at Fairway Electric is a very friendly and helpful man! We were searching for an electrician to install fans/lights in our condo and Paul responded quickly and gave us a rough estimate of how much it would cost! He took his time to answer all my questions and concerns and we emailed back and forth for a couple days!...prices seemed reasonable and fair especially compared to other electricians I had quoted. Again, he was very friendly and knowledgable and we were seriously considering using his services until we found out a family friend could do what we needed. I would definitely consider using Fairway Electric in the future and would recommend them to anyone!

Job went very well, and was accomplished very quickly and professionally. Company always responsive via phone or email. And while prices can ALWAYS be lower (at least from the homeowner's perspective!), it was far less that the highest bid I received for the same job. Timeline ( 4 days flat, from 1st phone call to complete job!) is shown below. NOTE: In advance of "Install Day," I secured the EV Charger which the contractor would be installing, and also secured the necessary building permit from the LADBS. Both steps may have helped accelerate the job, so -- as they say -- "Your mileage may vary.") TIMELINE: 8/18 @ 2 PM: Initial contact by phone. Representative listened to my needs and asked that I send a quick email -- to serve as a reminder. 8/18 @ 2:45 PM: Sent email. 8/18 @ 10:30 PM: Date set for estimate. 8/19 @ 12:30 PM: Estimator arrives. Price is acceptable. Commitments made. 8/19 @ 9:00 PM: Company confirms 7:30 - 8:00 AM start time, on 8/22. 8/22 @ 7:45 AM: I called company to reconfirm. Owner himself answers, confirms installer is enroute, with parts he's just picked up. 8/22 @ 8:15 AM: Installer arrives, begins work. 8/22 @ 1:30 PM: Work completed and successfully tested. 8/28 @ 1:00 PM: Inspector from LA Dept of Building and Safety examines work, gives final "OK"

Contacted them on Monday and they came out on Wednesday and fixed everything in less than two hours. Also gave us a discount because we used Angies List. Would recommend this Company to friends.
Description of Work: They replaced a circuit in the breaker box which was causing one side of the house to malfunction. Went into the attic and found pinched wire causing light to go out
