My whole experience with Fairway was terrific from the first call to throwing out the boxes of my newly installed fans. I called Paul on a Wednesday afternoon and by evening - he emailed that someone would be at my place at 7am the next day. Oscar showed up on the dot at 7am (I'm not a morning person so was hoping he would be late. ha!) Oscar looked at my kitchen fixture and determined it was the transformer - I've had two other electricians try to fix it and they thought it was the dimmer switch (which I've purchased twice!). Anyway, Oscar had to run to another appt and said he would be back to install the fans - which I knew about upfront. Which gave me time to run and purchase the correct ballast. He came back a few hours later and installed the ballast and both fans, he was very conscientious and neat and did not cut corners. I live in a condo and however the beams were running - installing the fan braces was a task! He was a wiz at assembling the fan, very knowledgeable and didn't mind that I asked a ton of questions. He had great suggestions but always left the final decisions up to me. I'm a very Happy customer. I highly recommend using this company for their prompt customer service, no hidden surprises, reasonable costs, friendly and knowledgeable techs. Ask for Oscar if your installing a fan!

I contacted them via Angie's List but it seemed like maybe my schedule was too hard to accommodate. But then later that day, when I get home, there the provider is, waiting to take care of the problem. I guess that they had tried to contact me but the e-mail didn't go through (I hadn't given my phone number). The technician was very polite, fixed the faulty wiring, and installed the dimmer. He was quick, professional, and it was well worth the hundred bucks.

Paul is pleasant to deal with and is very attentive to details when discussing a job. His team of very capable electricians share their bosses' traits and I am very comfortable having them work on any issues that come up. Whether the job is small or involved, the attitude does not waver, which is appreciated. Responsive, responsible and trustworthy.

I discovered that the wiring in my condo was aluminum, which can cause safety issues. I didn't want to have the condo rewired because of the expense and because doing so would have required cutting into the drywall, with all the accompanying trouble and mess. So, I decided to have the aluminum wiring retrofitted with special connectors that would make it safe. After unsuccessfully looking for an electrical contractor who would actually do that kind of work using the type of connectors I wanted, I happened to notice Fairway Electric on Angie's List. They had received excellent reviews, so I emailed them and described my problem. Almost immediately, the owner, Mr. Paul S. Harris, got back to me, stating that his company did that kind of work using the connectors I was interested in. After a few more emails, during which we discussed the details, including the price (Paul said he would meet or beat any other estimate I had gotten), we set up a time for his electricians to come over and do the job. The electricians, Tommy and Oscar, arrived on time and, after introducing themselves in a very friendly way, immediately set to work. I could see right away that they were true professionals. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing, and they worked steadily for several hours, breaking only for lunch. They were happy to share with me exactly what they were doing, answering my occasional questions directly and in a way I could understand. They went back to work after lunch and completed the job. They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly, and were polite as they left. Overall, I was extremely pleased with them and their work. I've had some nightmare experiences with contractors (of all types, from landscapers to plumbers), so my experience with Paul, Tommy, and Oscar, and Fairway Electric in general, was like a breath of fresh air. If you're looking for an electrical contractor you can trust, I hope you give Fairway a try. You won't regret it.

I purchased the Angie's List deal last night when my husband and I discovered our FiOS was out due to no power to the outlets in our garage. By 7:00 am, Paul from Fairway Electric had called me, and by 7:45 he had texted me some suggestions to help us work around the outage until someone from his company could come and help. Oscar arrived around 10:45 (no time was specified, but I asked them to come after 10:15). He quickly showed me what was wrong, fixed it, and replaced one of the outlets since the problem would likely recur. Since that fix took far less time than I'd anticipated, he went through the house and inspected a few light fixtures where the bulbs were going out often. He showed me that the fixtures were practically fried and needed to be replaced. He also removed some broken bulbs that were stuck in the sockets. He was courteous, efficient, and great at telling me what the problem was and how he was going to fix it or what his suggestion was for a long-term fix. Great experience overall.

.Tommy tried to work with the old outlets to improve the connection but the old wires were rusted to the underground conduit and couldn't be replaced. The next day he came back and replaced both outlets and ran conduit, above ground, to allow the fountain pump to operate again. Very professional, friendly and did a great clean-up. Can highly recommend Fairway.

After an initial service appointment mess up, Paul apologized and set an appointment for 7:15 AM the next day, so that there would be no waiting around on my part. The next day, the service person showed up promptly and completed the job quickly. To my surprise, I recognized the service person "Tommy" from several years ago. He had done a great job with a particularly difficult ceiling fan installation. Fortunately, it turned out that this Fairway Electric (Thousand Oaks) is the same Fairway Electric (Culver City/Venice) that I had hired years ago-- (they had moved).

Provider was responsive and professional. He contacted us as requested and scheduled the appointment timely. Work was done to our satisfaction.

I feel really grateful to have found Fairway Electric and thank you Angie's list for listing them! Anything regarding electricity and plumbing stresses me out, but I feel much better having found a reliable and reasonable company. A friend referred me to a different electrician last week, who charged me $211 for the call and didn't restore power to my three rooms. Last week's electrician said that I had to rewire wherever the wire was torn and that it would be an all day job with 3 people and would cost $700 (plus wiring cost.) I didn't get a good feeling so I looked on Angie's list and called Fairway Electric. Paul answered and was very nice and patient and said he would send out an electrician for an estimate. His electrician Tommy said that last week's electrician should have inspected all the outlets first, which that electrician did not do. Tommy said most likely there was a problem with a loose wire near the outlet. He came today and was very polite, nice and thorough. After carefully checking many outlets (over a dozen) he found the problem! He worked efficiently and was very knowledgeable. I'm still in awe that he fixed it and that I have power on that side of the house again! Thank you Tommy and Paul for the excellent service. I will highly recommend you to my friends.

I called the night before in a panic it Paul calmed me down and the electrician showed up in the morning went right to work and I Will be using them for any future electric needs!!! Thank you so much

I wanted to share how awesome Paul and his company were on this service. I live in Washington and my mom called from Simi Valley saying that the power had gone out and when they tried to flip the circuits it would spark. She was very stressed out as she cares for my bed ridden father and didn't know what to do. To complicate things even more, it was after normal business hours for most companies. She was going to randomly select someone with emergency service from the phone book. I asked her to let me find someone and found Fairway on Angie's list with good reviews. I called and Paul answered and I explained my situation, my concern for them not going long without power, not getting taken advantage of and looking for someone that would take payment from me since my parents are on a very fixed income. Paul said he completely understood and would head out right away. He was up front about the minimum fee based on travel and expected time to evaluate the problem. He arrived within the time he told me (90 min) and got them back up and running. He texted me a few times along the way to keep me informed. He then went back the following day to check everything in the daylight as in the dark it was hard to see everything. My mom commented on how patient they were explaining everything to her. When done, Paul emailed me the billing invoice and I could pay online. The bill a small fraction of what I feared it could be. I was convinced someone would see my parents situation and try to convince my mom she needed a whole new panel or worse. Overall I was very happy with the whole experience. It is great to find a company that still believes in customer service and that is trustworthy. I am grateful to have found Fairway on Angie's list and we will definitely be calling Fairway for future electric needs. Thank You Paul!

Didn't take to long to install. Went well, but is pretty booked so have to wait a few more days than I originally wished. But I have him coming back to do a second TV wall mount and install overhead lighting in my garage.

Tommy did the work quickly and efficiently and provided evidence of the damaged wire to help me recoup losses. He corrected the safety issue immediately. I was very lucky that I called Fairway. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent. Tech was on time, clean and friendly. Was able to diagnose and correct the issue after a bit of wire tracing. Was an overloaded kitchen circuit. Gave me recommended short term and long term fixes (splitting kitchen into 3 circuits instead of 1).

They were great there is nothing to complain about they came and did what was asked and it was done at a fair price. Everything works to perfection very happy about the job provided. We are sure we'll call these guys up again when we need electrical work done.
