The provider did not show up at the scheduled date and time. My husband called the business phone twice and left a voicemail message the first time. He called a second time and got voicemail but didn't leave a message. Patricia called him that evening to apologize and reschedule for the following Monday. Monday came and the provider did not come. Nor did they call.
Description of Work: The provider was supposed to come out to my home and give me an appraisal of the work to be done on my sofa.

Everything turned out fantastic!!!! The cushions are extremely comfortable yet supportive and a pleasure to sit on. The Sunbrella fabrics with the new cushions and pillows have completely updated the look of all the furniture and has created a very inviting environment for the patio. I would definitely recommend Designers Workroom for any exterior as well as interior upholstery projects. Patricia and Ozzie are very talented and have a great eye for design. They are the best!!!
Description of Work: The provider made new outdoor patio cushions for 4 chaises, 4 Adirondack chairs, and 6 dining chairs. In addition, they made 8 outdoor decorative pillows for the chaises and couches. They assisted me in selecting the outdoor Sunbrella fabrics and fine tuning the design with me and color choices. They loaned me the Sunbrella fabric book so I could take it home and make sure the fabrics would look right with my existing furniture. They also made special inserts for all the cushions and pillows that will last in an outdoor environment. Patricia even gave me a $300 discount off the total price since it was such a large job, and she was trying to keep it within my budget. The total project came out to $3600.

I have had these 3 chairs for 20+ years and the wear, tear, fading (they were leather), and small rips on them had gotten to a point that something needed to be done. After checking Angie's list I selected Designers Workroom because of proximity to me. After meeting in the store, they lent me material & leather samples to take home, then came to the house to pick up the chairs. While they were working on the chairs, I stopped by the showroom/shop to check on progress. Very welcoming and showed me what they were doing. They delivered 1 chair when it was finished, but the other 2 chairs (matching) were delayed due to insufficient fabric being originally delivered and to the credit of designers workroom they did not want to cover one chair, get the remaining material in for the 2nd chair, and discover that it did not completely match even though it was the same lot number. This did, however, result in a much longer time to complete. I have now received all chairs and the workmanship is absolutely superb. I would not hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: I hired Designers Workroom to reupholster 3 chairs. These chairs were very large and complicated to recover because they had many, many studs and many button tufting places.

I have had items reupholstered before and the whole process took a long time. Ozzie managed to get the job done in about three weeks from the time we first spoke with him. He picked up the item and delivered it back exactly when he said he would.
Description of Work: We had a flea market chair that was the perfect size and shape for our living room, but needed to be refurbished and reupholstered. Ozzie did a wonderful job, using all new materials and constructing the seat of the chair. It's beautiful now.

We had been looking for someone to reupholster our 35 year old custom made sofa. We had randomly got quotes from various places but were still unsure. My wife finally went on Angie's List and that's how we came to Designers Workroom. We had gone to a couple of other places that were on Angie's List for estimates but Designers Workroom impressed us. The couple that runs the business are the nicest, courteous, and professional people that I have encountered in a long time. We described what we wanted and provided a picture and they gave us a quote. We liked the fact that the quote included tightening of the springs if necessary, replacing the cushion, any foam that may have deteriorated, arm protectors and anything else that may need attention. Many places will "nickel and dime" you to death for every little thing they find. We were very impressed that the price included everything. The only exception that would have altered the price would have been if the frame was broken. That is understandable. When the couch was delivered we could not believe it was the same sofa. It looked so good. The workmanship was exceptional, the cushion was very comfortable and looked great. The rest of the couch was beautifully finished. We are very happy with the results. It was completed in a timely manner. This is definitely a company we will recommend to friends and family.
Description of Work: The sofa was repaired and reupholstered. The springs were retied. All the cushioning and padding were replaced. It was so nice that all this was included in the price quote they gave us. In addition, the sofa was picked up and delivered at no extra charge.

Extremely professional, the craftsmanship is done by Ozzie 100%. He is an artiste at what he does. They don't subcontract anything, so it's very nice.
