Hermanos Flores Gardening

I had purchased a 4-man hour big deal. Alex of Hermanos Flores Gardening arrived on time. Within 10 minutes he and 3 other workers had begun work with a chain saw, loppers, rakes, pick-axes. They worked hard for a solid hour (4 man hours). Cleaned up with a blower. All work was done according to the agreement. I am very satisfied and plan to use them again. My only negative, was that I had to contact them twice before my work was scheduled..... presumably they are in demand. That's good, right?

I received a call and was told when to expect them. Victor showed up promptly, took a look at what I wanted; and went to work! They did an amazing job!!!

Alex is very calm and straightforward guy. I liked the way he sold his services and presented the bid. He came by for initial quote to clean out my back yard. After he gave me the quote, we walked around and he found a few more things he would do in my front yard at no extra cost. Great little extra there. The crew came right on time at 8am and cleared out several small trees and ground two large stumps. When they completed the work it was beyond what I expected and also went very fast, they were done by 1pm. Great work, fair price, nice crew, highly recommended!

Alex and his helper cleaned up my yard - he trimmed all 35 bushes, trimmed a couple of tress, dug out 3 dead bushes, filled a hole meant for planting a tree, cut and edged my lawn and cleaned up my yard like I have not seen since I bought my home. Before leaving he vacuumed the debris and hauled away the big bushes and filled my waste containers. It is so wonderful to look around and see everything cleaned up at one time. My yard even looks brighter! Alex is very personable and works very hard to make sure you are happy with the results. Yes, I would recommend him - definitely!

They were a bit late showing up, but te quality of work was exceptional. i had ignored the weds for at least a month, and they pulled them all in record time. I dont think they pulled the bermuda grass root weeds as deep as i would have, but it is clean looking for now. They rototilled, raked and bagged the areas of the yard i havent landscaped yet, and relocated some large rocks that were too heavy for me to move. Overall very satisfied at the deal price; not sure i would pay full price for the service though

We were looking for a lawn care crew to come in and truly maintain our yard. After trading a pair of emails, Alex came in person that weekend and gave us a competitive quote on the spot. He was prompt and personable. He was also able to get one of his crews to stop by and begin service that same day. A crew comes once a week to maintain the yard. They are fast, professional and friendly. I was also pleased to see everyone using safety equipment and good tools. And I'm sure the crew sees it as part of their service, but they also do extra small things, like prune the shrubs back, and weed around other plants. Very happy with the service, the yard looks great. We plan to ask Alex for other landscaping help when we have the budget for it.

Alex arrived to check out the Big Deal job- and then did the work! I see the one review on timing - and the thing you need to know about this business- they are fast, reasonable, and quick to do your work. And they do it well. And clean up the mess - they took all of the extra leaves, debris, etc. that did not fit in my green garbage cans. I read that this is a new business - so be prepared to get the work done faster than you imagine. He wants good/excellent reviews. And they left my yard looking so much better than I had expected (asked) and did the work I requested very well and the price was very good. They were very easy and comfortable to work with and all of the workers wanted to do their best- and asked what I wanted throughout the job.

We had Alex over a month before the work was done & went over what we wanted done. I was very specific that it had to be an afternoon appointment. He didn't say that couldn't be done. He said he would e-mail with a date that he's available. He did e-mail & said he would come on 9/9 but he didn't put a time in. So we e-mailed back & said that the date was fine as long as he did NOT come before 12 N-1 p.m. He didn't call or e-mail saying that would be a problem. So I was expecting him between 12-1 p.m. on the 9th. My doorbell rang @ 8:20 a.m. & it was Alex. I was very angry as I have an illness & need to sleep til 10 to get enough sleep & I had explained that. I also have dogs & they need to get out & run around in the a.m. When I expressed to him that I was upset over this he said that he could come back in 1 hour. I was already awake & an hour wouldn't have helped. I felt very disrepected right off the bat. They were done in about 2 hours & did remove the debris. He said that he would make it right for ruining my day by disrupting my sleep, that he would give me a senior discount but my bill was $450, which I thought was high, and higher than the estimate, plus I had a coupon for $50 or $25 and then he took off an additional $17.50 for waking me up. Whoopi!! The 17.50 hardly made up for ruining my day & getting me off to a bad start on my week. After he left I went to Angies list & looked the pricing by him for others cuz I thought he charged me a lot & I told him that. I see that others had a LOT more done for less money including having a few trees removed. So now I really feel overcharged but i suspect he wanted to hit me for as much as he could & was assuming he wouldn't be back. For everything he fell short @, he had a pat anwer-"I'm a new business owner. I'm just learning my way." He said that about showing up way too early, about the cost being too high. I felt that he was making excuses for running a business poorly & for bad customer service. He will soon learn that he can't run a business that way-that customer service is everything. I wish Angie's list had a maybe button for would you use again cuz I would have hit maybe, maybe if he agreed to come on time, maybe if he did a better job, maybe if the price were better, maybe so I wouldn't have to interview someone else. But as it stands now it's probably not. If he had done an excellent job & the price had been $250 Yes i would if he could agree to come @ 12 N or 11 a.m. But now, no. He charged me too much compared to what he did for others, & I don't like being disrespected.

Excellent service. The yard has never looked as good as it does now, thanks to Flores Gardening. They actually left the yard looking a lot better than I had expected. That was a first for me. Hardly ever does a worker do so much better than they promised. I recommend Flores Gardening enthusiastically.

I found Hermanos Flores Gardening after searching Angies List for a quality landscaper, and we were not disappointed with Alex and his great work. Alex came over and did a walk through of the front yard which was being worked on. He provided us with a very reasonable quote on the spot. After receiving some other quotes, we decided to go with Alex, which was the best choice. Alex came over a week or two later to review the plans and we ended up adding some drainage to the yard. Alex was able to complete the job in a weeks time and even worked late into the night on a Saturday to ensure that the job was complete. Alex provided us with a brand new yard which has recevied nothing but complaments from friends, family and neighboors! We have already talked to Alex about working on our back yard and lawn maintance, which was very reasonablly priced as well. He never pushed anything we didn't want, which made this whole experiance even better.

Service was professional, affordable and exceeded expectations. Only wish I had hired them sooner.

Alex provided the best estimate for the work. They were professional and finished in about 2 1/2 days. I sent Alex pictures of the plants I wanted and he went and bought them, which saved me from having to go buy them and haul them to my house. They even cut down a small tree in the backyard that was in the way.

So far it has been going well I still use their service. So far I'am happy with the work they do.

Alex was able to come out and give me an estimate within 24 hours of my call. He was very professional and listened intently to what I was asking to have done. I had to be at work when they were scheduled to arrive, but I also have a Dropcam that allowed me to view a majority of what was going on while the workers were out there. My daughter was home, so if I had any questions, I was able to call and ask her to check. My list was basically as follows: Mow and give an edge to my lawn (had not been edged in years!) Removal of 4 butterfly plant/bushes Removal of several other bushes that had gone nuts and combined themselves with some heinous other plants and a couple of wannabe trees that were already 5 feet high Trim the hedge way back that ran along the length of my yard bordering the neighbor Removal of a foot high tree stump from one that died off a couple of years ago General cleanup of plants that were to remain Weeding etc. Repair one sprinkler that was watering the sidewalk My only comments that may not be as positive were the areas around my sprinkler heads needed to be trimmed down and I had kind of hoped that my dry river bed would have gotten blown out a bit more. BUT....I refuse to pick on that part as 1) Things had been a mess for so long that for my price, it was a miracle turn around and 2) They took down a dead Japanese Elm tree for me that I had completely forgotten to mention to Alex when he gave me the estimate! I felt that was above and beyond and will happily have them back in the future. :)

THEY SHOWED ON TIME AND DID A COMPLETELY PROFESSIONAL JOB. EVERYTHING LOOKS OUTSTANDING AND WAS CLEANED UP SPOTLESS. I WILL BE USING HIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Alex (owner) and his employees came out and did a great job of mowing, edging and trimming at my mother's home. After the 4 week big deal ended, I was so pleased that I contracted with Alex for a monthly gardening service. I'm very pleased with the work to date and would recommend them to anyone looking for gardening services.

I have already submitted a review but Hermanos Gardening is so good, it is worth sharing my satisfaction again.

They did a great job: after the first visit, I saw a huge difference in my yard and they put in a lot of time every week for several weeks to get my half acre up to par. I would definitely use them again for regular yard care and maintenance.

See above. For the amount of work Alex and his crew did I feel $800.00 was a bargain. We are very pleased with this company!

Overall, it worked out well. We continue to use him for the lawn care service, because of price and convenience. I have a monthly contract with him. The price is fine. He is not regular, he is supposed to come on Friday, he has missed some Fridays, or he will come on a Wednesday. The irregularity is a problem. I will continue to use him.

Alex and his crew helped clear and clean an overgrown and, sadly, neglected yard. He was happy to collaborate with me, and I was able to rely on his esthetic sense and experience. He removed several trees, pruned some others and some shrubs, and removed all debris at once. He carefully prepared the soil and installed new irrigation plumbing. He and his crew installed 7 or 8 pallets of sod in one day. He did some other landscaping as well. I found Alex to be extremely hard-working and conscientious. He showed up on time and never left before the day's agenda was complete, and everything was clean as a whistle. The result is a yard I can enjoy and be proud of. Alex's work exceeded my expectations; he is truly very professional and was familiar with every aspect of the job requirements. I can honestly recommend him without hesitation. For what it's worth, his crew works as hard as he does; they are happy, friendly and very helpful--which, I think, says something about his leadership.

I highly recommend Hermanos Flores Gardening. I rejoined Angie's List primarily to find a reliable and reasonable yard care service. I spoke with two other recommended providers for my area before I called Alex at Hermanos Flores. When I called I spoke with Alex Flores and he was very pleasant and professional. He said he would have someone (Fernando) out the next day (a Saturday) to give me an estimate for a front (and, I hoped that if I could afford it) a back yard clean-up, as well as a bid on regular maintenance services. Fernando came within the time frame given, and was thoughtful, pleasant and listened carefully to my needs, offering to do more than I thought I could afford. When he gave me the total bid ($250 for a front and back clean-up) I thought it very reasonable. He also gave me a very reasonable bid for regular weekly maintenance. They were to come the following Saturday (today). I also called with a question after 5 pm one day during the week, and to my surprise Alex called me back an hour or so later. Well Alex, Fernando and crew came today within the 10-12 window they had given me, and in about an hour and a half did a bang-up job on the yard. Cut back perennials, even trimmed trees. My bird feeder mess disappeared. Years of leaf accumulation on a slope in my backyard was gone. They sprayed Round-up and edged my overflowing groundcovers, etc. etc. What a difference. Alex walked around with me afterward to make sure everything was OK. No language issues for those concerned about that. Job was performed over two visits. Stump grinding was done not far from swimming pool, but tarps put up to keep debris out of the pool.
