Description of Work: they completely redid the bathroom, they stripped the walls right down to the studs. it was completely done in 2 days as promised by one individual. he statyed until 7pm, he definitely knew what he was doing, his name was phillip. i did find one small blemish on the bathtub which he came back to fix. my only complaint was they were, at times hard to get a hold of over the phone.

Description of Work: Bath Planet stripped two bathrooms down to the studs, cleaned up/repaired an area with dry rot, installed fresh drywall, ("purple" board in the "wet" areas), installed acrylic tub and surround in main bath and acrylic shower and surround plus door and fixtures (which is the product they sell-several designs and finishes available). At the time their arrangement was that the contract price would include them doing all the work, they supply the acrylic and bath fixtures, and you would supply paint, materials for flooring, toilet, cabinetry etc and which they would install. We chose to hire our own electrician, tile man and plasterer to save money. Bath Planet was very accommodating in arranging their parts around the schedule we set for our contractors. So week one, Bath Planet stripped both baths to the studs and cleaned up the dry rot. Week two, our guys came in and worked on the electrical, installed the tile floors, and plastered the walls. Week three Bath Planet returned to install the tub/shower and surround and installed the toilets, cabinets, mirrors, light fixtures, and towel bars. | |BP cleaned up everyday and were on time. There was one big hitch. In the small bathroom, the original builder of our 50-year-old house had routed a water pipe through the slab to the outside in a place no one would ever think a water pipe would be and the man working on the shower floor broke through and into the pipe flooding the adjacent bedroom and ruining the glued-down wood floor. The foreman was on the spot, getting things dried up and assessing the damage. When it was clear that the floor was ruined he tracked down identical flooring and had the bedroom floor completely replaced. | |Over the time BP worked our job we had several different workers come through. A few we saw more than once and it was clear that some of the workers were better craftsmen than others. The fellow who installed the mirrors and medicine cabinets in the large bath was a little sloppy and would have been satisfied with a cockeyed installation if we and the foreman had not set him straight. On the other had one fellow who did several days work was excellent, a real eye for detail and very personable. | |I always felt confident calling the foreman with questions and concerns. I always felt he took things seriously and had the expertise to understand the issues and work with me on solutions. | |Shortly after our job, Bath Planet changed models and now only work the "wet" areas. |

 + -1 moreNick arrived at 8 am and began by using tarps to the protect wood floor. Then began immediately to dismantle the tub, worked constantly until 5 pm and returned at 8 am to finish the shower installation which was completed by 12 noon.

Description of Work: The problem is with the sales staff...stayed for 4 hours talking to us...even when we said we were not going to pay 12,000.00 for a bath to shower conversion...talked him down to the price we paid, and found out later we could have had a whole remodel for the same price and the same product. The installer was professional and timely, no problem with him. I still cringe when I think of the sales staff.

 + -1 moreAfter water damage from a broken pipe flooded the house, the house was dryed out, the insurance company approved the claim. we called Bath Planet to see what they offered and decided we were done with ceramic; the cleaning, the maintenance, the leaks. So we went with Bath Planet. Lemoin Skiles was the contractor. The job took two days(it is an unusual shaped shower). His work was perfect. He knew exactly what he was doing and we were please with his work. The reason we waited to comment on his work was that we have had some bad luck with a contractor before and wanted to wait before we commented. We have not had to have any follow ups or repairs. Happy You bet .
Description of Work: Lemoin replace our unusual shape ceramic shower and water damaged floor with a Bath Planet shower. It is now over a year since replacement and we could not be happier. Very easy to clean and looks as nice as the day he installed it. thank you.

Description of Work: Prepared area for installation including covering carpet for protection through entryway. Installed to fit perfectly. Checked everything and tested operation.

 + -1 moreIt was pretty remarkable. One guy showed up and was right on time. Worked from 8am to 8pm. Pulled out the old tub and surround. replaced all the old pipes and installed new sheet rock. Then installed the new tub and surround. He was very careful to protect the floors and kept the door shut to keep the dust from getting in the rest of the house. He vacuumed and cleaned up as he worked. What a hard worker! Polite and personable and professional. A great product. Easy to keep clean and durable. It really looks great. It took a month and a week to get the product installed because they measure and order the style of tub and surround that you pick out. But all in all it was worth it.
Description of Work: We had an old fiberglass tub and shower. We did the vanity and countertop and floors ourselves but had Bath Planet come and tear out the old tub and shower surround and replace with a new tub and vinyl surround.

The installer informed us of the results of the inspection and what the next step was each day. The installation for the shower took 3 days. The installer was professional and cleaned up the work area after leaving each day.

Description of Work: We had our bathtubs and surround removed and replaced. The new regulations that alter faucet flow was a problem that was unforeseen. They promptly came but to remove a valve to adjust what the could. Cant change CA law!

 + -1 moreLong story short: we love the product, but the workmanship and customer service were awful. We did the demolition ourselves, and they told us because of that they could do the install in one day. They came on a Thursday but did not finish. They came back the next day to finish, but surprise - they had not received our glass shower doors yet. We had to wait over the weekend, and then on Monday they called and said the wrong doors had been delivered to them. The correct shower doors were installed on Wednesday. If you're counting, that's a week turn time, when they quoted us ONE day. When we first spoke to the salesman, we told him finish work was a big factor for us. We described how in the past it seemed like other companies always let the youngest and most inexperienced employee do the finish work, such as caulking and trimming. He assured us we'd be pleased. Let me tell you, our 7 year old could probably have done a better job than this company's "skilled workman". The caulking job is not smooth at all, big globs and smears around every edge. They told us they'd have someone come out at the end of the job to review it and to make sure we were happy. We NEVER heard from them. I called them and asked for a supervisor to come out and take a look. The young guy they sent out was so condescending it was unbelievable. I asked him to clean up some of the clumpy caulk and he tried to talk me out of it, saying that caulk was so tricky to work with no one could make it look nice. Their website states they respect the customer's time, and they also say they'll credit you $100 if they are late. Apparently shower doors that are a week late don't count. We are happy with the product, but be warned about the company itself!
