I LOVE this place. Everyone in the shop is super friendly and makes you feel like you are important to them. I first took in one rug to see how good they would take care of me, and I was NOT disappointed. After I received the first rug back, I then took in two more, and then two more again when I picked the 2nd order. Each time, I was treated like royalty even though I did not have the super expensive rugs that I see on display in their store. Their repairs were very reasonable (fringe coming loose) and I was very happy at how they made my dingy looking fringe snow white again. I had been using another specialty rug cleaner near my home further south from their store (who also did nice work), but upon return, their prices had escalated so high that I decided to shop around and so happy that I found THE RUG AFFAIR, which is also not too far from my home. They are very knowledgeable about their products and services and take the time to educate you on how to take care of your rugs and also explain their cleaning process. An extra bonus is that they wrote on my receipt, each time, the country from which my rugs were manufactured -- LOVE THAT -- and also they place a tag on back of the rug to remind you when you last cleaned it. I AM A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER ..

Terrific. Rather than restore to mint condition, they were willing to work with me and do a lesser job than they were able to keep my costs down.

I have a smaller nice rug that I don't feel comfortable putting on the floor with the animals, so I had them hand sew a support so I can hang the carpet on the wall. Very nicely done. Expert care. I've taken several carpets to this shop for cleaning and absolutely trust them with my nice carpets.

When I unwrapped the rug a month later, I was amazed at how clean and bright the colors were. The white fringes on two sides of the rug were white again.

From the first phone call to the final delivery of the cleaned rugs I was treated like a valued customer. Barry gave me a telephone estimate and explained the entire cleaning and repair process before they arranged a pick up of my rugs. After they examined the rugs at their facility he telephoned me with his assessment of the damage and what they could do to repair the damage, including photos of our rug side by side with another rug with a similar problem which they had already repaired. It was very helpful to see exactly what he was proposing. As Barry had another appointment near us when the rugs were ready for delivery he personally delivered the rugs and explained to us a little more about our specific rugs - origins, age, weave, etc. It was very informative and helpful. We were so pleased with the results that we asked him to take two more rugs for cleaning and repair. Our telephone calls and scheduling were handled by Bo in the office and she was very professional and pleasant to work with. It was a pleasure working with Barry and Bo and I recommend The Rug Affair without reservation.

This service was only $45 round trip! The rugs were cleaned beautifully, but the amazing part was that the guys who delivered the rug moved our furniture to properly place the rug on the floor, then moved all the furniture back exactly where we wanted it, and they wouldn't let us help them at all! Talk about service--it was incredible!

They were absolutely wonderful and I've recommended them to two other friends who were also happy. They do exceptional work and charge appropriately.

Pickup and drop off were right on time. Work was completed on about the work, they called me several times, sent several emails, and finally called my neighbor, who se.t in 4 of her rugs at the same time. Called again to ask other questions and to report minp time. They had a couple of questions and reported some existing damage before they began. All conversations were friendly and professional. Their website describes and shows pictures of their process. Still they carefully described their service and fees. They were wonderful.

Cleaning a large oriental rug does not seem like an easy task, "the rug repair" did a full clean on my rug and now it looks like new. I have a couple other rugs that need to be cleaned but I'm going to wait until I have enough money to spare. It can add up if your getting multiple rugs cleaned. Easy company to work with, I had no problems with them.

They came when promised to pick up our carpets and rugs and held the items longer while we were out of town. They were great and very accommodated to our schedule.

The Rug Affair was thoroughly professional, very knowledgable and did what they said they would, when they said they would. They cleaned three oriental carpets, two approximately 8' X 10", one smaller, all of high quality. They knew exactly what type rugs they were, what materials they were made of, and how to handle/clean them. The results were gorgeous -- rugs that had not been cleaned for many years were brought back to life! We would recommend them for any service regarding quality rugs, including repairs. The cleaning was done in their shop and delivery was prompt and on-time.

I found the Rug Affair on Angie's list and then cross-checked reviews here with Yelp. Everything sounded great so we called the company and instantly spoke with the owner. We sent him photos of what needed to be done and explained what had happened. He informed us that the rugs would have to be re-loomed to be repaired. He gave us an approximate cost, but then came to the house to inspect the pieces and the estimate stayed the same. Workers soon came to the house to move furniture and take the rugs away. Rugs were returned to us in about the time that we were told it would take. The work is beautiful and my wife doesn't hate my dog so much anymore. Price was noticeably less than at Mansour where we had purchased them. Great craftmanship. Highly recommend for rugs that are such an investment. Still expensive, but I'm sure if you pay very cheap, you'll get poor work. I just can't give "excellent"...

They did an excellent job cleaning the carpet. The owner explained everything to me and delivered the rug in beautiful condition. I would recommend them.
