Jose and his crew did a quality job for a fair price. The job was completed within the specified time & they left the house clean at the end of each workday. I would definitely use M.Y Electrical Contractor again.

Jose was incredible. He responded to my request for service immediately. He even came out on a Saturday since my problem was urgent. He talked me through everything he was doing so I could understand what the underlying problem was and the proposed fix was simple and cheaper than I expected. He even gave me some things to check to diagnose the problem myself in the future. I can't recommend him enough. If I ever have electrical needs in the future, he will be my first call.

Perfect! They’re my new E contractors?

I bought a deal through Angie's List to diagnose an electrical problem. After a couple attempts I managed to schedule a visit from Jhonny. He did not show up and offered no explanation or apology for missing the appointment. I get that people are busy and life is chaotic. I was always polite in my emails. We tried a couple more times to reschedule but he eventually just stopped returning my emails.

He did it quickly and the new fan works great. He also fixed some improper wiring that had been done by the previous installer 17 years ago.

Excellent experience - so glad we called them. M.Y. are professional, knowledgeable and explain every detail. I expected a simple change of the burnt outlet, but when Luis touched the metal plate holding the outlet - sparks flew. It was instantly clear there was a lot more involved. After turning off the power, Luis removed and showed us the outlet - years ago a 'recommended' electrician had incorrectly wired the fixture. Over time, the outlet transformed into 220 volt - and had begun to burn. Incredibly dangerous. Clearly a high risk of one of those 'electrical fires' you hear about. Jose Coto the owner came by and we settled on a very fair price to make the necessary repairs. We had just had new carpet installed and Luis, Jesus and Edwardo placed plastic covering the entire area so none of the wiring they had to remove from inside the walls and replaced got anything dirty. They are a great team and worked wonderfully well. We could not be more pleased that we used M.Y. Electrical Contractor. Highly, highly recommend.

My grades are probably somewhat suspect. But, the electrician, Johnny Mena, responded to a coupon sold on Angie's List. He arrived on time and surveyed the work to be done. However, this has happened to me on Angie's List before: there is a special "coupon" for 2 hours work for a certain price. But, when he arrived, he said since he brought another workman, it would be "two men for one hour". This information should be clarified during the sale of the coupon. It wasn't. But then he did the work within the allotted time. I called and made another appt. about a week in advance and I did not call to confirm and he did not call to confirm -- he just showed up at the appointed time and did the work. Then I called him on a Friday and we arranged for an appt. the following Monday at 9am. Again, there was no confirmation call or text from him, asking me to confirm this appt. At 9:15 he had not shown up. I texted to ask if he was on his way. No response. At 9:30 he had not appeared. I called his phone. Went to voicemail. At 10:00 am, I texted and called again, saying I was very upset that he had not shown up for our scheduled appt. He finally texted me back saying that I had not "confirmed the appt. with him". and he was now unavailable. I was livid! I had made this appt. 3 days before and none of his other 2 visits were EVER confirmed by him or by me. I just assumed he got a better paying customer. So, while his first 2 appts. were certainly passable with competent performance and a fair price -- this last act of unprofessionalism would make me question whether or not he could be counted on for other customers. I was very disappointed - not only because I was counting on him to complete the jobs I had for him, but more importantly, this was very foolish on his part since I had MANY, MANY jobs for him and would be a substantial customer for months and years to come - something I had told him during our very first appointment. He KNEW I would be a good customer. He even quoted me on a $900 painting job that I was going to hire him for, as well. Plus, the thing that was the MOST insulting, was that at around 10:30, I got a text saying, "I will be there around 12." and then that text was quickly followed by "This was not meant for you." I assume he scheduled another appt. in the time that he could have honored his commitment to me. I would be very hesitant to hire him due to these issues.

Great for one item and not so great for two. It would be nice if they would stock a few items on the truck but !!!

We spoke, we booked an appointment, we confirmed it by text, (see picture below), and he didn't show at 9am as planned. I textd and called at 10am, 11.30am, etc., no returned call until a message that said "get your money back from Angies List." BOOOOOOOO! I stayed home from work for THIS????

Very efficient and punctual. Jhonny, yes it's spelled that way, was a great guy and really did a fantastic job.

They were kind and wonderful to work with. They did a great job and even helped us locate a part missing from our chandelier online at Home Depot and waited while I picked it up so they could finish the install. Very professional and prompt. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well.

The electricians arrived on time and had all the supplies they needed. The job took 1 hour with 2 people. They ran the wire and left the drywall pieces for me to repatch myself. Great company.

Although it took a few weeks for the appointment to be made because they were so busy, M.Y. Electrical kept in contact with me and showed up right on time for our appointment. I now know why they are so busy; this is one of the best Angie's List purchases I have ever made. The 2 employees arrived right on time and were courteous, respectful, friendly and helpful. They happily answered all my questions while they worked and even gave me a quote on additional electrical work for my home. They did a really good job and I was very happy with them. I will definitely be hiring M.Y. Electrical again.
