First of all we got a great bargain and it was all because of Michael and Cheryl's efforts. I truly believe because the seller's agent was confident they were familiar with the short sale process, we were chosen over multiple offers, even though we came in less than others. You need to have multiple hats to get a good deal and to feel confident it's a good deal, because there is less disclosure during the short sale process. Michael's experience as a bank appraisor, a broker, an agent, coupled with Cheryl's experience as an escrow agent; her dogged persistence with the seller's lender,coordinating phone calls totally gave us a leg up on the process. Not to mention they have been agents long enough to tell us where not to buy, because they remember the neighborhood's that were hard hit in 94's earthquake. They personally care about people and are very ethical, and will tell you that's how they choose to work with people. Over 35 agents cards were in our kitchen when we closed and had looked at our house; we got our offer accepted in 5 days. Every appraisor, inspector and person familiar with the model of the house and neighborhood were shocked we got at it the price we did and we did because the seller's agent was most confident with Cheryl and Michael's expertise. A short sale process is stressful because you have no idea what the lender might be thinking... Cheryl and Mike answered all of our questions and when we had to move out because our lease was running out they sprinted to the finish with us. They are a boutique firm that were available to us, knowledgeable on every level of the process, including the inspection - where Mike has incredible insight. Getting this house was a miracle and they were our miracle workers. They have so much knowledge and as an Angieslist member, I like having a lot of information!
