I wanted a glass cover for my fireplace. The rep is friendly but I wasnt really convinced at this burntech technology but most of all I do not like to see a material that looks like s broken glass inside my fireplace...it might not be that noticeable if there is a fire but sore to the eye if it was not. Everyone have their opinion but definetely its not my cup if tea. Beside he recomend me do the sweeping first as they dont do that, I have not do that yet since I bought the house.

My first meeting with Mike (the owner) gave me a very good impression of him and the company. At our first appointment he called and said he was going to be about 45 mins early to the house (since miraculously there was no traffic that day) but when I told him I was still meeting with another contractor, he was extremely accommodating and told me he would stop and get some coffee and wait until closer to our appt. time to come by. That was realllllly nice of him. It helped me out a lot and it was one of the reasons why we decided to hire them. When they actually started working, it was the same punctual and professional atmosphere. The first day on the job the crew showed up early! They worked efficiently and got everything done in just 2 days. They covered the entire area they were working in with plastic so the rest of our house didn't get filled with dust and the work area was completely clean and perfect when they left. It was almost like they hadn't even been there! Now we have a beautiful "new" fireplace and the curb appeal of our house has been greatly enhanced thanks to our remodeled pilasters and planters!

Mike was a true professional in every way. He advised us on a very complex project, making a large fireplace into a two-way fireplace with a sitting bench that is now the showpiece of our house. He was very knowledgable and experienced. He and his crew were dependable and polite. His expertise made for a beautiful outcome. We couldn't be happier!

Professional! They supervised the entire job, found the stone from a quarry in Pennsylvania, placed it beautifully, worked with the gas line folks and are very prompt in returning calls when / if we have questions.

We wanted to get log sets for our fireplaces before the winter holidays (like everyone else in the world). Mike, at Burntech, went out of his way to get it done despite the fact that ours was a custom order. When his guys first came to our house the gas lines has been put in slightly cockeye so the fire didn't look quite right. We needed some additional work/parts. Also, one set seemed to large for the fireplace. It turned out the company had put the wrong size in the box. Mike got the right size and came out himself to supervise the work. I was really worried that even with the additional parts the fireplace wouldn't work right or look right. But it looked great and was all done in time. Also was very concerned that we be satisfied with the work.

I called Burntech based on their high customer approval rating. I was disappointed. I spoke with Jose and told him that I removed the wood from my fireplace and that I can see the framing, chimney brick, etc. I told him that I would need help putting it back together and that I wanted a new mantle surround, a new gas log insert, that I wanted the fireplace to work, etc., basically, the works! He asked me to send him a picture to his email address and I did. I never heard back from or Jose - or anyone from Burntech for that matter. That's unfortunate. Update: I heard back from Burntech only after posting the F rating. The owner mentioned the rating, the death, and the workload strain. He wanted to know if they could be of service. By the time he called me I had already met with other service providers and really liked one. I told him I would just choose between the two.

They were great! Cleaned the fireplace as well as changing back to a wood burning one, and gave us our logs to burn!

mike was on top of everything from the start. he promptly answered every call and email and visited my house twice to give advice and suggest all options. it was so pleasant dealing with him and jose. the overall impression was that of dealing with close friends, very personal and professional. the fireplace looks amazing and the warmth it spreads is enjoyed more bc of the warm attitude of burntech. highly recommended.

The Burntech crew of three arrived promptly and over the course of four days not only constructed the oven from the ground up, they completed the re-facing of the indoor fireplace. Both jobs required the cutting of concrete block that creates a tremendously dirty concrete dust layer, especially the demolition of the indoor fireplace. The workmen literally created a sheet plastic room sealed around the fireplace, not one bit of dust or concrete silk contaminated the house. Every night that they finished construction, their cleanup was immaculate. The master mason and his crew were approachable and amazing to watch - old world skill and pride in their work. I had done a lot of homework to find Burntech, literally months of searching for the right contractor. I waited decades to afford the oven and wanted it to be done right. Most individuals that put in wood burning ovens at home do it for cosmetic reasons, I wanted the utility of the oven, and I wanted a performance oven, a working oven on a pedestrian budget. After the work was done and the curing aspects of the oven were started, I realized that I needed the initial smoke coming from a cold oven to be projected higher in the air so that my neighbors would not be bothered by the smoke. Michael and I discussed it and he recommended putting a chimney pot on top of the existing chimney. To my delight, Michael found a really cool used chimney pot from an old mansion on the east coast and had it ship out and installed it without asking for more money. This is after I had paid him in full. I highly recommend Michael of Burntech and his crew. If you are looking for old world integrity, skill and honesty, Michael is your man.

We had a new mantel that needed to be installed. I called Burntech. A representative came out and when we realized my needs weren't what they really do, he instantly referred to the appropriate person that did an excellent job! I know Burntech could have "sub'd out"the job, which would have cost me additionally monies. I am sincerely grateful they were honest and did the right thing! Thanks Burntech!

Our experience with them was good. It was easy to schedule. They were professional and the price was right.

I thought the guy was great and did a great job. He was very thorough, did what he said he was going to do and my chimneys worked after he was done. He cleaned up after he finished and everything is working fine.

They were great. I liked the guy who did the repair work; he was a really nice guy. He fixed it so I guess the quality was good.

I am very happy to recommend Mike at BurnTech. He was very professional and very punctual (which I really appreciated). He determined the part I needed to properly open and close the flue in my chimney. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, like some other companies, and I also really appreciated that. When he determined what I needed, he had a piece custom made on the same day. He installed it in a timely manner AND with a smile. He gave me an estimate before he did the work and that was the exact amount I paid. He didn't increase the price between the estimate and the execution of the job, as sometimes other vendors do. We decided to get a nice cozy place to hang out outside. We found Mike at Burnside through a mutual friend and after seeing some of his work and gettting competitive bids we decided to have Mike do the work. Everything went smooth and we couldnt be happier.

If you are looking for a contractor that does great work, is punctual, knowledgable, and competitively priced, I recommend Mike at Burntech. We originally hired Burntech do work on our chimney and install a chimney fan. The reason we originally chose Mike was because because he was the most knowledgeable out of all of the guys that we talked to and his price was the best. The chimney repair and fan install went off without a hitch, so we hired mike and his crew to do more work for us. I highly recommend Burntech to anyone looking for a good contractor that they can trust.

Darius was not familiar with the brand of a couple of the fireplaces and they were in need of repair as well as normal servicing. He researched the brand's mechanics and fixed them. He responded to our service request promptly and did the work with the highest degree of professionalism. His price was fair and we were very pleased with his work.

I selected this company because the guy who came out was much more knowledgable than anyone else that we talked to. My wife and I appreciated their professional and courteous approach to the job. They are very detail oriented and clean! I would highly recommend them to all of our family and friends.
