They were very good and their prices were good. We had a tree on the park right of way which was along our driveway. We had to call the county to get that cleared. They recommended these people. The park asked us to just drop it in the park. They didn't care. They said it was for the animals, so I didn't fight them. I was impressed with how they got the tree to fall where they wanted it to, and how they did it. The ground was very wet so they had to hook it to another tree in the park and used one of those come along things to get it to pull over. They put it in the niches on the side and they tree fell right over where they wanted it. It was just good. They respond well. The price seemed good. They have good equipment and people that know what they are doing. There wasn't any delay. They came out and looked, and the next day they took it down.

They do a really good job and they are very professional. They did it in about two days. We told them to leave the chips spread out. They took the other stuff that wasn't spreadable to the dump. It went very smoothly. I think the price was very good.

They did a great job however they never provided me with a detailed invoice.

Unless you live in Watsonville I would not use this service. I purchased a special of $200 for $400 worth of work. Having had the trees on my property trimmed previously I had a good idea what it should cost. The quotes came in very high, double what I had paid previously. Since a pine tree should not be trimmed until winter I waited until that season to contact Williams Trees Service again. By then the original quote had expired and I requested a new quote; also they could not find my original paperwork. Now the price quadrupled. Why? If that is the only work they were to do "over the hill" they had to cover the costs. Then there was a paper mix up an they sent me an invoice for work never done. The mix up was quickly resolved but it should never have happened. Since the company rarely works in this area they should not promote themselves via special coupon. I wont be using this company.

I purchased a coupon on Angie's list for discounted services. I contacted them 3 times over the course of several months to set up an appointment. They never called me back to schedule. Three strikes and you are out.

There were, at first, communication issues with the setting up of an estimate appointment. Once that was finally done, I have been going back and forth with the company to set a date for completion of the work- cutting down a tree and grinding the stump. At one point I was told that they were waiting to try to set up an apt. for when the company workers would be in my area. Father and son, Williams, are both very polite. However, I am tired of the run around and do not wish to continue doing business with a company that does not have time for my job.

I was pleasantly surprised by the professional work done by his workers/staff. It was quick and tidy. The owner was very knowledgeable arborist and informed of a number of issues with my trees and how to deal with them.

Took them three full days to remove one massive 100 year old Monterey Pine stump. They worked very efficiently and cleaned up the work area beautifully.

This was an Angies List deal, $199 for $400 worth of work. Were supposed to come on Friday before but called and said short handed and might not be able to do it that day then showed up later and said didn't have right equipment with them that day for what I had asked them to do. Were supposed to come back at 10 on Monday but actually showed up at 8. Pulled out bushes with backhoe. Hauled them away. Cleaned up afterwards.

I purchased the coupon on 2/17/2014, order #1108740. Williams Tree Service acknowledged the purchase on 2/19/2014. I called Williams Tree Service the end of February explained what work I wanted done (trim/prune both a Magnolia and Japanese Maple tree) and arranged for Dennis Williams to come on Monday, March 3rd. I was not at home but gave consent for Mr. Williams to access my backyard and do the estimate. I received an electronic estimate of the work (attached) noting the work to be done on the Magnolia but no mention of work to the Japanese Maple. I called Williams Tree Service to ask for clarification of the estimate - whether it included the work for the Japanese Maple or not. I verified with Williams Tree Service that they had noted I needed both trees worked on and she verified that it was noted on their work sheet. She said she would be in touch with her boss and let me know via an email what the estimate represents. I did not hear or receive any message from Williams Tree Service - called again - she said they were very busy and she would try again. Received no message or email and called a third time on March 20th and she had still not been able to talk to her boss regarding my question stating they were very busy. I told her at this point that I would be requesting a refund since I could not receive a timely response to my question. I am now asking for a refund of my $199. since this company can't respond to my simple question on what their estimate includes and I have no confidence with the company going forward to do the work that needs to be done soon since they are so busy. I also need to point out their estimate was more than $1400. to trim my trees. I have since had two estimates from local companies - each giving me estimates for both trees for $700.00! More than half the cost.

I had it done 2 years ago for $300. I tried to chance the scope of work down to $400 but Mr. Williams was not interested in doing anything under $900.

They were skilled at their job, very responsive to my requests, and easy to work with. They were careful not to damage our buildings or vegetation and they cleaned up all branches and debris before departing. Furthermore, Dennis Williams provided a lot of useful information about our trees. We will certainly use their services again.

The guy comes out, looks at it, and gives me a quote of $1800! On top of that, he said that I have some sort of disease in one of my trees, and wanted me to call an exterminator to fix it. Only then, would they come back in November to trim it. I have already gotten a quote from another company for $400 to do the work instead.

He is professional, nice and I think that his price is kind of high. He is going to be doing some other work for me. They have not done the work yet. He is very knowledgeable about the type of work that he is doing. I will be using him.

As a homeowner, I hang around the job site to watch when I have work like this done but this didn't bother the crew at all. The terrain was dicey (steep hillside) and the trees were very close to neighboring homes and fences, so safety and accuracy were paramount. I'm pleased to report that the job was performed flawlessly! Alex the climber was fearless working 60 feet up in the canopy hanging from a cable at the end of an 80 foot crane boom, surgically limbing huge sections of the trees, while Gary the crane operator brought them down to the staging area with such control and precision. Their crack ground crew then chipped the small branches while gladly measuring and cutting the larger pieces so I could keep them for firewood. The job was finished on time, they cleaned the entire yard of debris before they left, and the final bill matched the estimate Exactly. You would be hard pressed to find a safer, more professional group of guys in the tree business. I will DEFINITELY use these guys again!

They were on time, careful and did an excellent job, particularly on clean up .

We chose Williams because they were the only bid that promised not to damage the neighboring tree. Dennis Williams is experienced and very knowledgeable and he and his crew did and excellent job. This was not an easy project and the crew completed it as promised in three days, leaving my property spotless when they finished.
