I cannot say enough about Martin and his team. Their work is simply flawless. I chose Martin to do my upgrades and repairs because he is local and because I read positive reviews on other sites from his past customers. After explaining what I wanted him to do, he explained to me how he would handle each project in detail. He and his team showed up on the day as promised, did the work, and cleaned up their entire work area inside of my home before they left. Cleaning up seemed just as important to Martin than it was doing the actual work. I liked that and my wife did too. Martin is really good at what he does. I will definitely use him again in the future. If you have the imagination to dream it up, he can set it up.
Description of Work: Recessed lighting in dining room and living room with wall dimmers and remote control dimmers. Removed old non-working bathroom fan and replaced with a new one. Installation of an attic fan. Installation of a house fan with control panel. Other small electrical repairs around my house.

Description of Work: I called Martin one Saturday afternoon when our power went out in the neighborhood and thought I had an issue with my home electrical. Martin was nice enough to still stop by and explain to me the problem and check out the electrical panel. He also explained how he can install fans inside my home for better AC efficiency which unfortunately I cannot afford at this time. If I ever need any electrical work done I will be sure to check with Martin first.

I liked everything. They were very knowledgeable, very communicative and very service-oriented. They're problem solvers. They really thought out where the plugs and switches should be for your convenience. The price was good. I liked everything. It's a good company. My interaction with them was very positive. They're very nice folks and very prompt.

I hate to give negative reviews but my problem was misdiagnosed and it was recommended I replace my unit with a very costly new one. Also, when Martin said he couldn't find a replacement motor (mine was quite old) I decided to call around. My first call found a replacement motor for $269.00. It had to be special ordered and when it arrived I called my handyman to install it. After checking my motor he said the only problem was a very loose belt (on my motor) which he tightened in 15 minutes. Today I returned the new motor and am so thankful to have not wasted so much money. I've still not heard from Martin and it's been a couple weeks. I should be writing a positive review for my handyman.
Description of Work: Martin came to diagnose the problem with my whole house fan. He came on time and was easy to schedule. However, he didn't follow up AND he misdiagnosed it as the motor being the issue. He later phoned to say he'd tried but hadn't yet found a replacement and would be gone for about a week. (He had left me with a brochure for a very expensive replacement for the whole unit which he was very enthusiastic about.) I've not heard from him since but later found the only problem was a loose belt.

Wow, my first bad review and from a customer that I did NO business with. I did visit her house. I did offer another more up to date Whole House Fan from QuietCool, and gave her some round about prices, but she graciously declined and wanted to continue with her old noisy 1970's industrial fan. So I dropped the subject right away. [member name removed] was the one that said her motor was bad, said they had the same issue a couple years prior. Gave me all the information regarding it because this was not the first time it had happened. She mentioned that they tried to find the motor but the product was not available any longer, due to part numbers change etc.... I took all the information that she had with me. I spent over 4 hours researching the brand of fan, only to find out they are no longer in business and had been bought out by another company. Even with all that information there was still no resolution with finding a motor. I had called [member name removed] and told her that I could not find a motor for her, gave her all the information I had found with the new company. I find it unbelievable that someone would put a bad review for someone that did NO business with them. I didn't charge her any money for any of my time. She paid $0. Why would you want to give someone a bad review for that? Jeopardize my home, my family, my health, my only source of income? Why don't we just put my kids and my family on the street, maybe that would make her happy. Why would someone be so cruel? I grew up with the phrase, "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" I had to at some time cut my losses due to the amount of time I had spent not able to find what we were looking for. She forgot to mention how happy she was that we offered to reinstall the fan louvers and the fan controller that had been removed from a family member prior to us showing up. How much did I charge her? $0.00. I'm glad she found what she was looking for. With the internet, she and I both have all the same available information. Sounds like they may have just had better luck finding the motor than I did at the time. On top of it all, she ended up saving a good amount of money not having to have a motor replaced. What my time was worth: $325.00 How much She Paid: $0 Honest Electrician: Priceless

I wanted to install a 220V outlet for my international appliance. Found Martin on Angie's List. He came by on a Sunday afternoon and looked at my electrical panels and even went up to the ceiling to see how he could run the wiring through the ceiling instead of ugly conduits around the side of the house. He was very meticulous and took his time and explained everything to me. We both agreed that it was probably too expensive for what I wanted and he did not charge me anything. Very courteous and friendly. Will definitely call him for any electrical work from now on.

My experience overall went very well. He did an excellent job and was very efficient and professional. He came back to check up on the work 2 weeks later. The pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Martin to others.
