Description of Work: Hiring 3 men and Truck for 3 hours special price for $520.00. Moving a 1 bedroom Apartment to San Jose CA from Richmond CA. No extra packaging just the standard. Most items already boxed ready to load. Had to download half of items to storage first ; second remainder of items to a room in a private home second floor 5 minuets distance away from storage. |The driver seemed very tired but very nice when arrived. The other 2 men were very nice and hard workers. All items arrived in good condition. |What surprised me was the price. Explanation was that I should have bought for full day and it would have come out less(how much less? Don't know) This was not explained when paid the $520. It was said that $165 for extra hour. |Moving started at around 7 AM ended at around 1:30PM. Total came out to $1274. Moved 60 miles away, traffic was good that day for being early. I appreciate all the effort that was done.

Description of Work: Terrible experience - 4 main issues: 1) Red Carpet broke the headboard of a $2,500 bed, but "no one assumed" responsibility - including the supervisor - this is on top of other minor damages. 2) Transport time: it took them 1 hr to get to the new place - when it took me 15 minutes (there was no traffic), and they wanted to charge double for transport time (they didn't communicate this charge upfront) - these two fraudulent tactics meant $300 in extra charges 3) The new place was just painted - and yes, the walls had all kinds of marks from dirty / sweaty hands all over by the end of the day. 4) Dan Polikoff, the account mgr - promised to follow-up on damages, send claim forms etc, etc. but of course he disappeared once I paid. My time is way more valuable than tracking down this unprofessional company. SAVE YOURSELF FROM A HEADACHE - AND LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Description of Work: Moved me from a tri-level townhouse to a two story house. They wrapped all my furniture carefully- nothing was damaged. They did not damage the townhouse walls - which was not easy as it had narrow and steep stairs. They were very professional and clearly knew what they were doing. |
