Had contacted this company after seeing the discount online from Angie's list. After reading a number of positive Angie's list for this company, I decided to call them for an estimate. I spoke with a woman on the phone and she was very polite and helpful. She referred me to another person and was able to help me answer some questions about the moving process and the overall costs of moving with the Angie's list coupon with their company. Due to their high costs, I decided to not use them at this time. They charge at least 300 dollars more than my final mover. My current mover charges around 500-800 and their estimates were between 1100-1500. In addition, one of the company I ended up using provides additional services for less money!

These guys were so nice and so professional and courteous. My family had really not come through in helping me pack, and they did everything they could to help us get out of the house. They were super friendly and helpful. Everything was moved safely and placed exactly where I wanted it. A really great moving experience.

They did not offer a service where they just do the loading and unloading, but they were professional and helpful when I spoke to them.

Everything turned out well. The workers were very friendly, were task-oriented, and did a good job taking care of our belongings. They were also on time and responded quickly to our call when setting up the service. However, the final cost of the move was nearly $700 more than the original estimate because it took longer than they had anticipated.

I was moving from Concord to Pleasant Hill and 3 or 4 guys showed with with a truck to transport my stuff. My house was a 3 or 4 bedroom house and was about 1400 square feet. I was satisfied with the work. They showed up on time, completed the job and nothing got broken although I did have 3 people of my own help them out.

Moved from Pleasanton to Emeryville. Arrived on time. Very professional and efficient. Extremely happy with their services and the move. Highly recommend

Wanted to have some furniture moved from San Jose to San Francisco, just a few pieces. Turned out they move whole houses, high cost for a small job.

Magic Moving is awesome! On every level they lived up to their reputation. I found them by chance as they moved my next door neighbor. She said they did and excellent job and were very easy to work with so I gave them a call. I'm glad I did cause we were very happy with the move. We moved from a large condo in Fullerton, CA to Concord, CA. It was not an easy task due to the size and quantity of 'stuff' we have. The movers were great, professional and fast. We liked how they wrapped and cushioned our wood furniture; especially my 7' armoire. We had a lot of boxes and delicate pieces but it didn't slow them down. They were careful and polite throughout the whole move. Not a scratch or bruise on anything. Everyone in the company was friendly and helpful. Nancy in the office was crucial in getting us organized and prepared. Well worth the price....made our move smooth and painless! We want to thank everyone involved. We highly recommend using Magic Moving.

These guys are SUPERSTARS!! I have had bad moves in the past and decided to do a little extra research this time around. I found Magic Move & Storage and it defiantly paid off. They were not the cheapest I found but defiantly worth every penny. I moved from Pleasanton, CA to Fullerton, CA. They helped me move big furniture, lots of boxes & electronics with no problems even though there was no shortage of stairs. They showed up early and immediately began wrapping, taking things apart and loading the truck. We were amazed how efficient the entire crew was. We were also impressed with their professional attitude and work ethic. They did not stop working through the whole process and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. The office staff was also very thorough in making sure we were prepared- there was no surprises. Magic Move &Storage is the best company I?ve ever hired! I will not hesitate to refer this company to anybody. We were extremely grateful-this guys were great!

Javier and his team arrived late in the afternoon after another job, and completed our transfer in 2 1/2 hrs. They were fast, careful, and took the time to wrap or re-wrap items that did not meet their standards. We will definitely use them again for the rest of our move in April.

I called Magic Moving because of Angies List Reviews 5 days before my scheduled move when my arrangements with another possible mover fell through. The receptionist took my name and said Kevin would call back, which he did. He was very accommodating and came up with a price that was much lower than the other mover, without ever seeing the job. (I knew how much our shipment from our out of state move weighed.) He proposed a flat rate and said they would send 6 guys and 2 trucks. They arrived on time and took more time wrapping our stuff than our first mover from out of state did, including rewrapping some of the stuff in storage. We were very happy with the service. Having said all that, the guys that showed up were from Jay's Small Moves in Oakland, and that's who we wrote the check to, so Magic Moving must have sent the job to them. That seemed a little weird when I finally realized it since no one told me they were making the referral, but they did such a great job on short notice that I can't complain. But in the end, this rating is about Jay's Small Moves. But Magic Moving took care of making it happen, one way or the other, so I'm giving them a positive review. (and posting this review on Jay's site too.)

You will not want all the details, but rest assured we will never use this service again. I have messaged Angie's list about my experience, we spoke with the manager of magic moving and complained.

I will forever use Magic Moving & Storage! Moving without professional movers is like running a marathon without training. It also Saves you the headache of asking friends or family that you want to keep as friends and family. We've used Magic Moving twice now to move from Stockton to San Francisco. They were awesome in every way. we considered other cheaper companies for our second move but wanted reliable, professional movers that were careful with our stuff. It was easy to schedule, they were prompt, on-time and started right away. They even put runners on the floors, and padded the staircase and doors. We were worried about some of the more heavy and expensive items but they really made it look easy. They were very quick, careful and smooth. They had great attitudes and were very friendly. Totally worth the money! I will tell all my friends and family to use Magic Moving & Storage.

I purchased the coupon. They called and left a message. I called back multiple times over multiple days and left messages but didn't hear back from them. I needed to get a move date ASAP so I couldn't wait any longer to hear from them. I called a different mover. They answered the phone right away and I've scheduled our move with them.

Good value, a few scratched/damaged items.

We would have moved ourselves if it wasn't for having a really steep driveway at our new location and so wanted to have a professional in charge of the truck! It totally paid off because it was so much work to move all of our items and we could let someone else handle it. Magic Moving arrived right on time (they give a one hour window) and efficiently packed up our condo. They wrapped all furniture and dismanted and reassembled that which required it. They also provided wardrobe boxed for our clothes. They promptly arrived at our new place to unpack the trucks. Everything was great - my one issue was that they wanted me to rate and comment on their service and the guy who requested it stood right there watching me. I felt like I had to give them the highest rating possible because he was watching. And when I didn't leave a comment he asked why not. It just seemed a little skewed. Other than that through, nothing was scratched or broken and all arrived safely so I have no major complaints and would recommend them!

As a military family, we have worked with many moving companies over the years and across the United States. Magic Movers was the hands-down best experience. Magic Movers answered their phone when I called--that was the first of many things they did right! Their office personnel were friendly, helpful, and flexible: We needed to move within the week, and they were able to schedule full packing and moving with five days' notice. I was given an accurate estimate based on pictures that I sent, and though the price is about average in comparison to other companies I researched, it was well within our budget. The packers and movers are company employees, and showed up before 7:30 a.m. Within four hours, they'd fully boxed a three-bedroom house. The next day they showed up again at 7:30 a.m., and in seven hours, loaded the truck, obtained weight tickets (needed for reimbursement), drove 50 miles into Oakland, and got the truck completely unloaded into our new house. They were cheerful, quiet, never took a break that I noticed, and in short, left a great impression.

Magic Moving showed up on time with four guys and a 26ft van and in 10 hours (including 4 hours of travel time) they loaded a 4 bedroom house, and then unloaded part of it into storage and part to a residence. We did the box packing in advance so it was all loading and unloading. They put down runners on the carpeted stairs and wrapped the barristers to prevent any damage to the house in moving. All furniture was wrapped in blankets and they shrink-wrapped furniture at our request that was going into storage. Fast, pleasant and very efficient, this crew rocked. Everything managed to get from the originating site to the destination(s) with no damage. It doesn't get any better than this as far as movers go. About as pleasant an experience as you can hope for in a move. I'd use them again with no hesitation and give them an A+.

Everything we were concerned about was taken care of perfectly. Our furniture, artwork, wine, and electronics were all padded and crated to perfection. NOTHING was damaged and EVERYTHING was on time. Thanks guys!

The best word to describe this company is Excellent! I heard of Magic Moving & Storage through a business network and one of the best referrals I've ever received. Moving is "nerve racking" and I was very concerned about my expensive photography equipment. I also had several expensive paintings, music equipment and furniture that I did not want damaged. My worries were soon relieved after my discussion with the sales rep in the office. They made me feel comfortable and had a solution for all my concerns. The movers arrived early, in uniform and ready to go! I knew right off that they knew what they were doing and quickly got to work. They carefully packed all of my photography equipment in large boxes with extra cushion paper. They wrapped my furniture in thick blankets and used plastic coverings on my mattresses and sofas. They were done loading by noon and I could not have been more impressed. When they arrived at my new house, they put down carpet coverings and protected my home, doors and stairs. I've had movers before and never experiences the care and speed like I did with Magic Moving & Storage. They put together all my beds, glass mirrors and table tops. There wasn't a scratch, dent or bruise anywhere. I could not have been happier and the price was well worth it! I will refer Magic Moving & Storage to all my business colleagues and friends. Magic Moving & Storage is the absolute best moving company we've ever used! A friend recommended this company to me and to my benefit was amazing in every way! I called several other companies and felt most comfortable with the office staff at Magic. They were friendly and helpful in answering all my questions. They made suggestions in planning and cutting costs. The movers were clean, uniformed and very experienced. They showed up early and parked their 18-wheeler inside a storage facility that usually cannot accommodate that size. I was very impressed and they saved me money. The movers repacked, wrapped and loaded my fragile items so that nothing would break or damage during the move. They crated my glass table top and even plastic wrapped my sofas. When it came to delivery they were stellar! I live in a tri-level walk-up condo and unfortunately the movers were forced to climb a lot of stairs, it wasn't easy. They did not complain once, were always polite and didn't even take a break. Unbelievable! They put together my mirrors, beds and entertainment center all without a hitch. The price was more than fair and they went the extra mile in making us happy! We departed with hugs and handshakes! I highly recommend using Magic Moving & Storage!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. I didn't have a strong opinion that they were terrific or terrible either. The deal could have been clearer. I thought I was getting one thing and it turned out to be something else; maybe I didn't read it thoroughly.

Magic movers were very efficient and professional. The furniture was all wrapped in plastic wrap, and handled carefully. My daughter thought the price was too expensive, but I don't think we can complain sense there were 3 workers. Overall my daughter was pleased. Thank you Angie's list!

David and his 2 helpers were excellent. They were on time, were very careful in handling everything and nothing was damaged. If i ever move again I would definately use them. I would definately recommend them to anyone planning a move.

Called for quote for move out, storage for one month and move in. Total quote was over $5K and they wouldn't honor portions of the coupon advertised on Angie's list. They offered 5% off of labor but that was it. Called Waters moving and gave them the exact same parameters. Quote came in at half the price.
