Description of Work: The 3 men that moved me were amazing. ALL of my furniture was wrapped, they put down protective coverings for the carpet, stairs, and walls. They were on-time, professional, and polite. All of my belongings were well cared for without any breakage. Moving can be a huge challenge and the guys at Magic Moving made it painless. Thank you to the entire team!

Description of Work: i needed only a small job of moving some large furniture around the house. magic movers got me on the schedule for the day i wanted, were on time, did exactly what was required and were gone in short order. perfect job. couldn't ask for more.

Description of Work: Picked up 2/3 furnishings & misc. indoor contents of 2 story 2 bedroom home overwrapping & adding more minutes/cost to bill by wrapping blankets around furniture & taping same. We did not ask for this or anticipate it. It was 4 guys & a Large Truck. My son & I worked right along beside them and my son was the Team Leader as he is a Dr. and he was paying for my move. They handled the drive well to Mendocino Coast with my same leading the caravan in his suv from Santa Rosa, CA to Point Arena, CA. At time of payment after all was unloaded there were some minor descrepancies that my son caught & pointed out...All in all it was very expensive and stressful and we worked as hard as the movers & more. Plus we still had to make more trips back & forth with indoor and outdoor houseplants and gardening and garage items. They would have charged us even Greater Exorbitant Amounts if we had not set limits on what we would even allow them to take. Knowing we could come back and get more ourselves in stages (For example all of the contents of the Master Bedroom Closet we moved ourselves later...Renting a Budget Truck similar to the size of the one Magic gave us with their 4 guys, only our Budget Truck Trip my Brother In Law drove the truck and he and my sister and I unloaded multiple boxes). In retrospect we should have just Made 2 Budget Rental Truck Runs! It would have been way less money and stress and negotiations. TOO MUCH! Almost 1 yr. later (11 mos.) I still have not completely recovered/recuperated! We consider it to be The Last & Worst Move I will Ever Have Made.

Description of Work: We haven't moved yet, so I can 't give a review of that. All I can describe is that when I was on the phone with them BEFORE purchasing this coupon, I asked them if I can use this coupon for the services I ordered, and the lady said yes, so I got the coupon. Then a couple of hours later another rep from the company called me to say that I can't use the coupon b/c I have to have a 6 hr min move...now I have to go through all of this extra work during an already stressful time just to undo something that could have been prevented in the first place. That is not cool.

Description of Work: they don't honor the coupon. I have to move August 1st but I will not deal with a company that misrepresent itself on Angie's List. I found another moving company. I just want a refund

Description of Work: I have used Magic Moving and Storage several times and again this past week. I have always received the utmost professional service. They make sure that my furniture is very secure and none of my items have ever been damaged. Everyone on the job was very kind and professional. They arrived on time and completed the job as estimated. I would recommend them highly!

Description of Work: Magic Moving and Storage moved me from one house to another within Danville. When I contacted Magic they estimated the move would cost about $2,000 but the charge would be based on time and materials. I advised Magic that I was told that big trucks could not make up the driveway at the new house. Nancy at Magic told me she had someone go out to the new home, and that they would not need a smaller truck. The movers arrived 20 minutes later than they said they would the morning of the move. After a walk through of the home the lead mover said they would need a second truck to move my belongings to the new home. He also said I would be charged extra for the truck and the additional driver. The movers got started about 7:45 AM however they billed me for a start time of 6:30 AM. They could not possibly have started at 6:30 because I lived in a gated community and the gate attendant does arrive until 7 AM. The morning went fine. I went to lunch with my friends helping to return to find all the movers all eating their lunch in my living room, and nothing more done from when I left. After packing up the trucks and arriving at the new home the drivers advised me they could not get their trucks up the driveway. They contacted their boss, David about getting a transport truck. Moving came to a halt while they tried to locate a transport truck. David drove over to assess the situation. I asked him since I was being billed by the hour how we could accommodate the situation since they were supposed to have assessed if a transport truck was needed in advance. The mover who was to assess the driveway said he had gone to the wrong house. David was extremely rude, and essentially said it was my issue, and became extremely hostile threatening to take all my belongings to storage if I did not pay them for all the hours. After further pleading David agreed he would credit my bill for the time the movers were standing around waiting for a transport truck. When a transport truck could not be located the movers began to carry up each item by hand. Eventually the movers got their personal trucks and loaded items into their trucks for transport. Dozens of items were damaged because of this method and the metal on the trucks. About 10 PM the lead mover came to me and said they were done and the fee was $3,900. I asked him how the bill was determined and if the credits for the time they were standing around was given. He could not explain it so I asked to speak to David. The mover got David on the telephone. I told David I did not understand how the bill was determined. He started yelling at me that we had a deal and I was resending on the deal. I assured him this was not the case and I was just trying to understand how the bill was determined. He screamed f*** you and hung up on me. He then radioed his movers who began packing their trucks with my things. It ended up there were not done with the job, but still had my televisions and several pieces of furniture. They left the job with my belongings. I have since had most of my belongings returned by paying Magic the full amount they said was owed. I submitted a claim for the damages and missing items as was contracted, and they have refused to pay for any of the damages.They were TERRIBLE! They damaged 28 pieces of furniture, and 2 pieces of furniture never made it from one house to another. They charged more than twice what was expected. They were unprofessional with the Manager/owner David screaming f*** you and hanging up on me when I questioned how the bill was calculated to be $4,000. Having my children on site I called the Police for protection. I would have received better service if I picked up some thugs on the corner. By far the worst business I have ever dealt with.
