Cerletti & Kennedy Design-Build

Fairly straightforward project that was executed with a minimum of fuss or trouble. I met with Robert Cerletti and hired him on the spot. He surveyed the project (new kitchen cabinets, counters, sink, cooktop and backsplash). Gave me a price - pulled out his pad, wrote it out in triplicate and we were off to the races. His foreman Marcos is outstanding, Robert is old school and does things the way they used to be done, which was refreshing (and amazingly efficient and effective). We highly recommend Cerletti & Kennedy for the Earthquake Bolt & Brace (EBB) work done on our home in Pittsburg, California, in September 2024. If our experience is any indication of the quality of their work, we can also highly recommend them for any other construction work you may need. Once our EBB application was approved, I endeavored to get a good range of quotes: I received seven quotes from different companies, even though only three were required. There was one company that stood out from the rest, providing comprehensive information on the materials to be used as well as the installation process. Matt Kennedy also spent a fair amount of time on the phone with me, explaining exactly what the work entailed. Happily, their quote came in under the amount allotted by EBB. What really cinched the deal for me was that I didnâ t have to come up with any money up front for the permits or inspections. Cerletti & Kennedy handled everything for us. To top that, the two-man crew they sent out were two of the nicest workers Iâ ve encountered. They were efficient, neat, and cleaned up at the end of each work day, accomplishing the whole job in less than a week. No stress, no problems; just peace of mind. Simply put, a job well-executed. Outstanding quality and service from C&K. The quote process was easy and friendly. The plans for the deck rebuild were thorough and they completely handled getting the permits and approvals from the city. Their workers were pleasant and respectful and highly skilled. Everyone in the neighborhood has commented at how beautiful the deck now is. I cannot wait to enjoy my new deck! Cerletti and Kennedy are the great balance of design-creativity and project management time/cost execution. Their kitchen design team came up with solutions to design challenges like maximizing storage in a small space while keeping it accessible through close partnering with suppliers. On the build side, the project moved steadily to completion with regular updates without me having to ask. The inevitable hiccups were brought to my attention right away and addressed usually within a few days. Most important to me was the craftsmanship and attention to fine detail of the construction team. Kitchen projects are stress inducing but C&K understood that and their experience helped keep things moving forward.

Cerletti and Kennedy did a great earthquake retrofit job for us. One thing that made them stand out is how great they followed up on fixing a problem. While working under our house, a phone line was accidentally broken. Matt, one of the owners, went to great lengths including paying a company to come out and replace the broken line. They are to be commended for standing up to the problem and fixing it without question.

I hired Cerletti and Kennedy for a Sunroom/Patio Enclosure. They were the only company I spoke to who offered reasonable solutions for the design, and flexibility if I decided to add something to the project later. They had expertise regarding the materials and design that were not mentioned when I spoke with other companies. When a part arrived that was damaged, they took care of it immediately and it did not even delay the project. And the project was completed exactly on budget. My sunroom is BEAUTIFUL, I am SO PLEASED! I highly recommend them!!!

We hired Cerletti & Kennedy this past summer (2023) to do a total remodeling of our outdated kitchen. We didn't have much space to work with but what they came up with was amazing. We enclosed the new refrigerator and built out the cabinet above which gave us more storage. We took out the old vent system which went all the way up to the ceiling and put in an over the stove microwave and cabinets which gave us a little more storage. We put in a pull out spice rack next to the stove and a lazy susanne next to that. We angled the corner cabinets which gave us yet more storage. We took out the dishwasher which we never used and put in a pull-out trash and recycling cabinet and extended to baking sheet cabinet. We had a Quartz countertop put in and installed a tile backsplash from the refrigerator all the way around the kitchen. Of course a new sink, garbage disposal and faucet. Our contractor, Ruben showed up on time and always cleaned up when he was done for the day. He always got right to work and set up his equipment. One thing I really appreciated was when Dante showed us that the open space on each side of the kitchen window was uneven (Feng Shuai) and recommended installing a curved 4 shelve piece so it would be more even. Ruben was also very helpful when ever an issue came up and would explain the issue and help come up with suggestions each time. Would I recommend Cerletti & Kennedy to my family and friends, MOST DEFINATELY! I only wish I could have attached some photos I took of the completed project but I don't see a tab to do so. If we decide to do a remodeling of our front bathroom, I will be calling them back. 100%.

Cerletti and Kennedy did our kitchen remodel in July 2022. The renovation took about four months. A fireplace was removed which opened up much more space for the kitchen and living room. The structural beam issue was addressed extremely well with their engineers. We are delighted with the new layout. Everyone, including their subcontractors, from the demo to the finishing, was very knowledgeable and professional. They cleaned up at the end of each day. Robert provided the best price among the other bids we received. Matt executed an excellent design layout that was very functional and classic. He even included a walk-in pantry that I never thought would fit into our small space. Matt and Reuben have great eyes for details. Matt took the time to review the punch list with me on the final walkthrough. I would highly recommend this company.

We recently added a Sunroom/Garden Room on to the back of our house. Cerletti and Kennedy were great from the outset, keeping us apprised of all related details every step of the way. Once construction was underway, progress on the project was steady and we were kept fully apprised of the subcontractor schedule, which was always timely and was as communicated to us. We love our finished product and all in all, both the finished project and the project processes definitely exceeded our expectations.

This Company came through for us last minute. They came everyday on time and with a clean finish.

Cerletti & Kennedy recently renovated our kitchen and dining area, and the end result is exceptional. In addition to relocating HVAC and water heater, our project required structural work. All of these things, as well as our daily questions and concerns, were handled by Matt and Robert et. al. with professionalism and patience.

We lately had a master bathroom remodeling project, plus bedroomsâ popcorn ceiling removal, drywall work, painting and etc.. Ruben who worked on our project deserves a special Thank-You for his great workmanship and mostly with his attitude of I-do-it-with-my-heart (that was his own words). And another noteworthy remark, as what Matt once told me what he said to his crew member, â Do it as what you would do for your own house.â Though there were some issues, such as, scheduling and delay (caused by wrong order or material supplierâ s inventory), the job was well done! My wife and I are very happy with the final result! This has been the third project in our house done by Cerletti and Kennedy since 2016. That speaks volumes.

Definitely would highly recommend Cerletti & Kennedy! We contacted them for a full kitchen remodel and entire home flooring installation. First met with Matt a conscientious and detailed design engineer who listened to my ideas, did the technical drawings and measurements including brainstorming how the design would work. Matt created a wonderful design of the kitchenâ cabinets, countertops, lighting, backsplash, down to the finishes for example cabinet and drawer pulls and handles. The kitchen including the appliances is beautiful! Robert gave us a bid on the project and was the contractor in charge of the crews and coordinated trades from demo to installation of plumbing, electrical, dry wall, cabinets, lighting, etc. Although there was a slight delay of a week or two the job was completed and professional done. Matt Kennedy has been amazing. I had originally hired another designer to design a mixed-use space including three seconds story apartments in a commercial property which went very south. Matt not only completed the design of the three units but was able to negotiate use of space with the City. He has intimate knowledge of the City Codes and has a good rapport with the City Planning and Building departments. He is also very helpful and available to answer questions and provide information. I am very grateful Matt was recommended to me and I'm so glad I've gotten to work with him.

This was our first kitchen remodel. We hired the team at Certetti & Kennedy to complete the job. With their experience of Robert, Matt and Eddie they made suggestions and were extremely helpful, while staying within our budget. Matt Kennedy the team designer, mapped out our small kitchen to make the best use of space while being functional. Now we have the kitchen we dreamed of. I was very please at the work that was done by Cerletti & kennedy Design_Build They are very professional very neat very prompt and take interest in my Property they built a plastic room to work in and dust was not flying all over my house while they work .The date that I was given that they would start they was here on that date the date they say they would finish they were finish on that date this design company added a shower in my powder room did a beautiful excellent job I am very pleased and satisfied with the work. However I would recommend them to anyone I had many others to come out and they did not lay a solid plan out to me the way this company did and I thank you thank you thank you I am very very pleased Thelma

Matt and Robert were a dream come true - we had a pipe burst right when COVID hit last February and couldn't get any contractors to even come give us an estimate. The ones that did come bid very high and refused to deal with our insurance company. Matt and Robert have so much experience and made the process so easy. Their crew was fantastic, on time, respectful and highly professional. We were able to remodel our family room in addition to our kitchen and they are both beautiful! We will for sure use them for any future home improvement needs!

Excellent work

The product and installation were of high quality. The workmanship was done in a patient let get this right manner. The quality of the install was very, very well done. Steps were taken, often above and beyond what was expected, to make this a smooth install, even though any install of this kind will be a disruption to the normal flow of events within the home. We have no complaints and only high praise for a job very well done. PJ.
