All Pro Deck

Excellent services. Courteous, professional, and super efficient. Replaced bad boards and steps, pressure washed, cleaned, sanded and stained.

All Pro came, reset ALL the nails, sanded all deck surfaces and the top of the railings, power washed the decks, top surface and bottom, and then applied two coats of deck sealer. They found one rotted board that they replaced for a slight additional fee. They moved heavy planter boxes off the decks, and then came back several days after the project to re-position them. Quality of the work was excellent. We were very pleased, and would recommend them.

Our house is almost surrounded by decks, two of which are only a few years old but needed to be re-stained. The small rear deck was in pretty poor shape and the front porch steps needed some TLC. I contacted All Pro to come out and provide a quote after another contractor failed to show up. Al (the owner) came by and did a thorough inspection. He quickly provided a quote which we accepted. Even though the weather was rainy, Al was able to schedule one day to get the decks prepped and another day later on to have the decks finished. Each day, the work crews showed up and worked very hard. Al also stopped by to check on the work and was available for any questions via email and phone. One small issue was addressed right away. The decks look great! The rear deck looks almost new which is really wonderful considering its previously poor cosmetic condition. Also, the front porch looks much more inviting with its fresh coat of stain. Al and the crew were very professional and courteous. I'm really impressed with the quality of work that was done. I would not hesitate to call All Pro for deck work in the future.

Al and his crew were responsive, straight-forward and extremely professional from my initial call to the completion of the work. They answered my questions clearly and quickly. They even sent me a text to chose the color of the stain before applying it. The deck looks great ? it appears brand new! We're thrilled with their work. The only advice I would pass along (and that All Pro could remind customers) is that homeowners should close their windows near the deck since the dust can blow inside. But this was only a minor issue for us.

Al and his crew did a great job. His price was fair, he did what he said he would do, he threw in some extras for no charge, he was very responsive to requests that I made both before and after the job, he was punctual and professional, and he is a very nice man to deal with. I would most certainly hire this company again. I'm very pleased with the results. The deck looks great.

Very accommodating and reasonable. Included some railings that he hadn't intended to include in his estimate but agreed was reasonable to expect. Friendly and professional. Crew was professional and diligent. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

During the estimate Al provided options for maintaining my decks. He presented a quick fix option that was least expensive in case I wanted to sell soon and a more expensive option that would last longer and would look the best if I planned on staying. I went with the most expensive option. Although there were a couple of glitches along the way, 1) Al did not communicate to the crew that the spaces between the boards required staining and 2) the covers underneath the decks were removed prematurely and stain dripped onto patio furniture, a/c unit, plants and cement, Al was very professional and responsive. He addressed the issues promptly and apologized for any convenience. My decks were in poor condition and were severely damaged, but All Pro brought them back to life!

Al, the owner, gave me a free estimate. He was very friendly and explained the condition of the deck and what he could do to improve its appearance and also what he could not do. The price seemed reasonable so I gave him a down payment and scheduled the work. On the appointed day, the employee who was to do the deck refinishing arrived later than anticipated but performed the work competently over two days. After he left on a Friday afternoon, I discovered that parts of my irrigation system no longer worked. I emailed the company explaining the problem that night. The next morning I had an email saying that someone would come that day or Sunday to fix the problem. And, indeed, Al himself arrived on Saturday afternoon and fixed it. Frankly, I was stunned to find a company or person providing services immediately assuming responsibility, not to mention coming on a weekend to fix the problem, and with good humor. I was enormously impressed with this reaction which has become increasingly rare. Later I found a hole where a piece of wood belonged and that was fixed in short order as well. Obviously it would have been better if nothing had gone wrong, but because of the approach of the owner I really didn't mind. Thus the overall "A" grade. The only suggestion I have is that customers should be told how long the work will take. The contract approval I signed indicated completion in one day so I was surprised when I discovered that the work would continue on a second day.

It went very well. They came when they said they would be here and did what they said they would do and then some. The quality of their work was wonderful and they left my gardens all cleaned up when they finished. I made some changes as we got into the project and Al made it all look like the changes had always been there. It's so nice to work with a service that really delivers on what they say can provide. They did the job in two days, and it came out beautiful.

I found All Pro Deck on Angie's List by typing in "fence preservation, deck maintenance", even though it was a fence that I wanted the work on. I sent a message to the business on a Sunday while logged onto angieslist.com and asked for a quote. The very next day, Jessica, a representative of the company, contacted me and asked me to describe what my goal was. She told me she would relay the information to the owner. The day following that, the owner Al called me. He wanted to know if someone had to be present at the house before the fence could be inspected. I told him the fence was at the front of the house and he was free to examine it at his convenience. He called me back shortly. I stressed that I wanted to preserve the natural wood appearance of the fence, that I did not want a shade that looked too dark or deviated too much from the natural color of cedar wood. He dropped off stain samples of what he thought would be a good choices; the samples matched my taste. After 4 hours of work, the fence looks transformed. I feel like I have a brand new fence. I am very satisfied with the work performed. I would like to mention that I am just as impressed by the communication and quality of customer service in this transaction. I feel that Jessica and Al listened carefully to what I wanted to accomplish and that I received prompt attention to all my questions.

They arrived on time, answered any questions i had, and were very efficient and professional. The deck looks beautiful, and they replaced the furniture and plants when the process was completed. I definitely plan to continue to use All Pro Deck in the future.

The estimate was somewhat high for me at this time, also, it could cost much more depending on what else they might discover later when performing the task at hand.

They were on time, gave us a quote and told us what needed to be done other than what we asked for and the reasons why. They replaced some rotted wood, sanded and painted (stained?) the deck. It looked brand new by the time they finished and it was a one day job. We are very pleased with them.

Al and his crew were very professional. Al Pro was very responsive to my inquiry last fall, and arrived promptly to provide an estimate to re-stain our deck. Because winter was quickly approaching, Al suggested we postpone until the spring. His office manager, Jessica, initiated a follow-up phone call in April, and we scheduled the job for May. The work was completed in one day, despite a trip to the lumber store to select new boards and install them. We were delighted with the experience and will contact Al Pro for future work.

Al, the owner of business very friendly, professional, and careful. Gave detailed description of the work to be done. Exact on dates from start to finish of job. The workers who actually did the work were careful, neat, precise in work and knowlegable. Job was done just as described and within the time frame agreed upon.

I was referred to all Pro Decks by my contractor (Kevin Moylan, General Contractors). We have some family staying for the summer and wanted to clean up our landscaping in the backyard. We weren't financially prepared to rip out the existing deck and rebuild, so we decided to re-finish instead. According to Kevin, it was structurally sound enough to get away with just that. I am so glad we went that route. I met with Al at All Pro Decks for the initial consultation. He was patient and took his time with us. We didn't feel pressured into anything and he let us know how long would could expect the project to finish. For a fraction of the cost, we were able to completely revive our deck (and look of the entire backyard!) in just four days. He came through with everything as promised and the quality of the work was first class. If you have a salvageabledeck that needs TLC, these guys will use their magic and resurrect it.

Very happy with the service overall. Al came out to my house to take a look at the entire area and discussed with me what we wanted to accomplish. Based on that, he made a recommendation to power wash rather than sanding the deck (vs doing both, which another provider we spoke to did recommend) and also to apply a stain and water protectant. After we agreed on the service and price, he returned a few weeks later (needed to wait for a weekend when we knew it would not rain) with a worker to complete the job. Both were professional and did an excellent job. Helped me move the deck furniture into the yard, and they cleaned up everything after as well. Power washing took about 3- 4 hours. They returned the following day to apply the stain, which took another 3-4 hours. Overall an excellent job - the stone stairs and retaining wall as well as the deck look totally different and much nicer. Totally worth it.

Al Ismaili, the owner, came out to do the estimate. I liked his approach better than the other contractor who came out (also A rated on Angie's). Al is a firm believer in sanding the decks down to bare wood as opposed to just trying to power wash. He also noticed that some boards were bad on the upstairs deck and offered a plan to replace them. This probably will extend the life of the deck and was a good investment in the long run. 13 or so sections were replaced for around $440 materials and labor. This included adding safety joists adjacent to the existing joists to make the entire deck more stable. Decks were refinished very beautifully. The sanding really brought the character of the wood out again and made it sparkle. Al and Jessica were very helpful with the seal color choices, the crew was professional and cleaned up well. There were a couple small problems along the way, but Al always came by when necessary and resolved everything. Al and Jessica were very good at listening to our issues and making sure they were properly handled. The work was performed in Oakland at an address we do not publish.
