We were extremely satisfied with this company from start to finish. They came by for a free consultation and worked hard to listen to our concerns and to help us prioritize our needs within our budget. They were professional and communicative and the day went exactly as they told us it would. They were punctual, organized, and struck a great balance of being warm and friendly as well as professional and efficient. They were able to utilize our assistance effectively to make the process run smoother in the initial stages of figuring out what items we would donate, throw away, or keep and then worked steadily and independently for much of the remainder of the process. We really appreciated that they had great ideas but were also very open to our preferences. We would definitely use their service again!

After my now-husband moved into the house and put a lot of his items in the garage, my father passed away and a most of his belongings were put into the garage, we remodeled the house and almost all the old living room and kitchen items were put into the garage, and we transformed one bedroom into an office and moved it's stuff into another bedroom, we were very overwhelmed with all the work that needed to be done. We would try on our own to clean out the garage, but would literally just move things from one side of the garage to the other side. It was just too much! We contacted D-Clutter and Denikka came to the house to give us an estimate of time and cost. It would take her two and half days to organize both areas. Honestly, I probably would have paid almost anything, but when she gave us her quote, we thought it was very reasonable. She and Tiffany showed up promptly at 9am and just went at it. They took EVERYTHING out of the garage, and sorted like items together. When that was done, they had us look at everything and tell them what we wanted to keep and what we wanted to donate or throwaway. That took about an hour. Then, for the items we kept, they put in plastic containers (which they supplied!) or boxes, labeled everything, and put them on shelves or stacked neatly along the walls. They also cleaned the cobwebs out of corners. They took all the donated items for us and gave us the receipt. Then they did the same thing for the guest room. I'm still in awe over everything they did. My car is in the garage and we have a guestroom where people can actually spend the night. True story, I show visitors the garage; it's part of the tour now. Thank you Denikka! We hope we never let things get that bad again, but if it does, we know exactly who to call!

It went very well. I was able to let go of about half of my books, so that now I have a more manageable (and still full) amount. Also, they made it so much more simple to go through china, glass, and silver items so that I could keep what I wanted and give the rest to my family. They were positive, practical, and compassionate. This is tedious and time-consuming work they do. It is something I could not spend time doing and that would be emotionally exhausting for me to do, so they are providing a great service. They are also very trustworthy with details of belongings.
Description of Work: Helped me decide books to keep and to donate. On previous day of work they had gathered all the books together. This day, after I chose the books to keep, they sorted the books by genre and I chose again. Then they put books in a bookcase they moved to a new spot. They also moved furniture to what we felt were better locations than what I had previously. They also vacuumed and put down a large area rug I'd had cleaned. Also they put like items together in my dining room for me to choose to keep or give away. Also sorted some items in my guest bedroom/office, organized a desk space in there, and stored unused items, such as baskets, in the closet in an organized manner. Loaded items to donate into truck. They were busy for the eight hours I paid for.

Over a period of four days (12/13-14 and 17-18), Denikka and Josh, who together are D-Clutter, completely reorganized my home -- every closet, every drawer, every cupboard, every room. I am thrilled with the results and with their work! My home is a single-wide mobile home, and I had way too much "stuff" in it, It had become a very cold, messy, unwelcoming place to me. This is something I could not do for myself. I lack the visual imagination that would have allowed me to rearrange it, disposing of excess stuff as necessary, so that it would become a welcoming and livable home instead of a claustrophobic trap. Besides, I'm dead lazy. By the end of Day 2, they had created for me one of the things I had least been able to create for myself, yet needed the most: a comfortable living area where I could relax, watch TV, and even have a friend over. (I had been too ashamed of the home's previous condition to invite anyone over.) They were so low-key and friendly, and they took the initiative so smoothly that I never felt uncomfortable with their presence as they worked. I even napped while they were working around me. They were very considerate of my pets, who got to like them a lot. By the end of Day 4, I felt like one of those restauranteurs on "Restaurant: Impossible" who is filled with delight and awe at the newly remodeled space and who embraces Robert Irvine, his builder, Tom, and his designer. I hugged both Denikka and Josh gratefully just before they left. This reorganization was especially important for me as I have recently lost one of the people nearest and dearest to me, a sister who died very suddenly and way too soon. To be trapped in my messy, unwelcoming little home with my grief and rage had become overwhelming and deeply depressing. I think I now have a space in which I can heal. To have that same space transformed into a warm, welcoming, orderly home is a very, very precious "gift," even though it was for a fee and worth every cent. I have a home instead of a cage. Josh and Denikka worked very hard every day they were here, and they deserve their compensation. I didn't give a rating for the price, because I have no idea what another home-organizing company might have charged.
Description of Work: LISTENING, respectfully and carefully to me, to where and who I am and to what I wanted them to achieve for me. Rearrangement of furniture done with the kind of imagination and insight that really transforms living spaces for the better. Donation to charity of items no longer wanted or needed (they brought me the receipt for my taxes). "Repurposing" existing items appropriately. Complete respect for what I wanted to keep vs. donate or dump. Rearrangement of every room, every drawer, and every closet. Providing and labeling new containers within drawers, closets, etc., most of which containers D-Clutter provided. Performing clean-up as necessary to accomplish reorganization. NOTE: D-Clutter is NOT a cleaning service. You would have to specifically engage a cleaning service if that's what you wanted.

She was the most wonderful person! She was very, very professional and I liked her very much. She arrived on time. She was very organized with her paperwork. Her estimate was much also much lower than the person I used. I wish I would have hired her instead of the other person I used, who was horrible.
