Dean came out for an estimate promptly. Luis, the crew lead, had excellent communication skills with the customer. It is important for the customer to talk over the job with the crew, because the estimate sheet doesn't always convey all the nuances of the job. Kristin in the office was very pleasant and went the extra mile to offer me an earlier slot when one opened up. I also thought their price was fair. I had interviewed a few others, one was lower, but one was higher and I didn't think it was a reasonable price. Insurance coverage was emailed promptly when requested.

EXCELLENT. DID FANTASTIC JOB OF LACING TREES AND MODIFYING HEDGE

The trees were trimmed to the size I had requested. But several unsightly limb stubs were created. But I was dismayed at how many small to medium limb pieces were left in the yard. They did a good job clearing away the large pieces. But I think they should have found and taken the 8- to 12-inch sections of limbs that were 4 to 5 inches in diameter and sections of branches with a fan of twigs and leaves that averaged 36" by 30." I rated them a B for good tree shaping, but I wish I could make it B- for the sloppy clean-up.

The crew of two showed up ahead of time and got right to work. They were done in 4 hours, with clean up included. They did a great job, although there was one sprinkler that was destroyed in the process (it was right next to one of the pigmy palm trunks, so it was not a surprise that it got ground and broken). The clean up was pretty thorough, at least for 2 guys!

They were very careful, cleaned up afterward. Very pleased with the work.

Very well done. The guys were on time and worked hard. They promised to be real aborists and the work proved it. The trimming was done right and no topping occurred.

Awesome! From the first phone call, Sutton shows they care. The owner of the company comes out to bid the project. The workers are polite, professional, and tidy up after themselves. They did a great job (April 2018). In fact, I'm having a tree removed (Nov 2018), and another trimmed, and I'm having them back to do the work. From the office people to the workers, top notch. I won't go anywhere else for my tree work.

Samuel, Jose and Mario did and excellent job trimming and shaping the trees. Very professional and hard working crew! Best crew ever! But later that afternoonaround 2:30 PM, The owner Mr. Dean Sutton was very rude in calling us, he stated that his crew was taking too much time than he estimated and said that he underpaid his job. He was angry and unprofessional, he should have communicated to his crew his plans in completing the job. We have been a good customer for the past 5 years, and we have a lot of trees on our big property and we need much maintenance in the future. However, we will never hire Dean Sutton again. The Crew should get the highest rating of "A" but Dean Sutton deserves an "F" for his attitude.

Perfect - the price was very competitive, everyone performed very well and clean up was thorough. This is an excellent company - I would gladly work with them again.

Good. Pruning done within 2 to 3 hours. Cleaned up all debris and carried away. They called to see if the appointment could be moved up two weeks as they had an opening.

Quality was less than previous vendor I used. They worked very quickly with chain saws and left ragged edges.

Sutton Tree Service was quick to come out and give an estimate as well as show up promptly on the date of service and did a great job removing several large trees from our backyard.

Fabulous Service at a reasonable price. Sent 2 crew members and a truck with grinding machine. Arrived promptly before the stated time, spent 5 hours trimming and cleaning it all. 5 star service! Provided all insurance and license documents to assure me they were fully licensed and bonded.

Quick on response to estimate and just a few days to get the work scheduled and complete. I was using another service but they raised rates and had a minimum regardless of work. We decided to try Surton and they not only were less expensive but did a great job trimming the palms and cleaning up the trimmings.

This isn't the first time I've had Dean Sutton and his crew do tree work for me, and just as before... they did a superb job. Beginning with Kristen in the office; (always so nice and helpful); then Dean's prompt visit to assess and provide estimate; (he is so knowledgeable and experienced!) and the two men who came out just a few days later to do the job (Dennis and ??... great workers!) I'm very happy with the results. As always, the debris is removed and everything is cleaned up before they leave...and did I mention that the cost is truly reasonable? I trust Sutton Tree Service completely, and will continue to use them. The 10% Angie's List discount is great, too!

It went excellent . I am happy its a pleasure to watch people work that know what they are doing.

Two men arrived on time and got started. I watched them for a little bit before going to work, but this didn't seem like easy work, as the trees were between 50 and 60 feet high. When I got home, the trees and debris were gone, pretty much no evidence that they were there other than a light dusting of wood chips. Stump grinding would have been another $500 and not done much more other than to take it down to the dirt level. I'm not sure that's worth it unless the entire stump is removed.

Sutton was hired to cut down and remove dead avocado trees, live Washingtonia palms, chip onsite. Project was less than satisfactory. Crew bulldozed a road through the property, scraping to bare earth a path 8 feet wide or more.. Cut trees were dragged out using the small bulldozer, deepening the scar and adding to the bare area. This has left a bare earth road scar more than 100 yards long. Crew did no rehab on this scar and we were not told ahead of time that this would be done. We gave approval for the machinery to run over the ground, but were not told it would scrape to bare earth. We now have to rehab it ourselves - a huge and expensive task. Very little chipping was done onsite because the crew said the chipper could not get to the location of the trees. Dean Sutton had given us a quote and assurance that the chipper would access the tree locations and chip to the area of the cutting.. We want the chips to cover bare planting area. Debris from cut palms remain on property, too large for us to carry out ourselves. Tree trimming shows signs of amateur work. Large branches truncated and not trimmed back to main branch. Trees were trimmed entirely by climbers, meaning they could not reach the highest parts of the tree and did not thin those upper branches.

First of all, a live person answered the phone at Sutton Tree Service, which didn't happen at any other company I called for an estimate. Then Dean Sutton came out the next business day to give me an estimate. While they couldn't didn't have an appointment available for 3 weeks, Sutton Tree's crew were on time when they came out, didn't waste any time trimming the trees, and cleaned up nicely. They also offered helpful tips about tree care, and I don't know what magic they did pruning our coral tree, but it is actually blooming again for the first time in years. They were quite reasonably/competitively priced. Will definitely call them again when the need arises.
