Solatube Home

Perfect! Arrived early (after a call asking if that was OK). Did all the work without fuss, cleaned up after, and now it works.

There were some problems initially with the roof but the company took care of it all to our satisfaction.

My wife and I first contacted Solatube at the San Diego County Fair, and then followed up their reviews on Angie's list. We decided to move forward with the project and scheduled an appointment with them. The appointment was changed by them 3 times, each time was earlier on the same day as the original appointment. When the installers arrived, they were courteous and professional. They answered our questions and we decided to move forward with the installation. The issues arose during and following the installation. My wife and I were working on an important project in our office, NOT the room of the installation and NOT on the same power circuit. At one point, the installers cut power to the office WITHOUT giving us any notification, shutting down the computer system. Luckily, the computer system autosaved the work we were doing and we didn't loose any data and were able to continue when power was reapplied to the office. The rest of the installation when well. When they were finished, their cleanup was less than stellar! They left large boxes and dust/insulation for my wife and me to clean up. After they left, we discovered that BOTH circuit breaker panels were left open and that there were several large chips of ceiling paint which had flaked off of a room newly painted 5 months ago. We just expected the post installation service to be as professional as the consultation was. We're really unsure about recommending them, but after reading other reviews on Angie's List we have to believe that our experience was the exception and not the norm.

Homedaylight was awesome to work with. They were very friendly and helpful on initial contact with no pressure to buy, and they were willing to work with our roofing contractor to install just at the right time during our roof replacement! Barney came out to do the consultation after the roofers had started so he could consult with them on when the installation would be best. It turned out to be the next day, and it wasn't a problem. They adjusted accordingly and came to do the install right on time. One of the quirks of our job was that the Solatube was being installed in a sloped ceiling. Barney knew exactly where to best position it based on what we wanted lit. Seems simple, but it's not! We'd have put it in the wrong place had we done the installation ourselves. He also took into account a dormer and palm trees that could shade it, and then installed it in exactly the perfect spot to accomplish our goals. It went quickly and smoothly, and Barney was great to work with. Even though he had to be on a very high ladder, he was happy to demonstrate what each of the available lenses looked like so we could make the best choice. I highly recommend them if you're in the market for a Solatube. Your needs will be honestly assessed, questions addressed, no hassles, gimmicks, or upsells - just great customer service, a great work ethic and great workmanship/attention to detail. Money well spent!

I was extremely happy from the initial contact through having the required electrical work finished. The pictures on their website don't do justice to the amount of light the Solatube is bringing to my room. Initial contact was made via their web chat feature as initially I was just doing a little window shopping. As I read about the possible uses and then checked Angie's List as I was chatting, our decision was made to go forward. An appointment was set for later in the week. The installer arrived as scheduled, installed the Solatube, and cleaned up everything.

The service representative was Josh. He was on time, very responsible and respectful, and cleaned up after work was completed. This was a courtesy check at no cost.

I had Home Daylight install two solatubes a number of years ago, and was very happy with their work and product. When I decided I needed more solatubes for other areas, I immediately called Home Daylight, asked some questions about costs (and their promotional and quot;bundleand quot;), and was pleased with their information, professionalism over the phone, and the information on their website. I made an appointment and the products were installed with great success. Mike arrived on time, put down drop cloths for his work areas, and explained everything he would be doing. At one point, he had to climb through an attic access point that was between light fixtures in the kitchen! I suspect that some other companies would have just said, and quot;Can't do.and quot; I also asked Mike questions about possibly installing a solar ventilation fan for my attic space and he had all of the parts necessary right on his truck. I hadn't mentioned this added fixture when I originally called, but Mike took the time to make the installation. I'm VERY impressed with Mike's work and demeanor. He is an excellent representative of this company. His measuring was accurate and detailed, he completed all the work in just under four hours, and he answered ALL of my and quot;pickyand quot; questions as I followed him around. :-) I and quot;more than highlyand quot; recommend Home Daylight. They were excellent 10 years ago and remain the same today. I wish they could do ALL of my home maintenance projects!

We emailed Solatube via Angie's List. We received a phone call from them the next day. The salesman answered all our questions and we agreed to have them install a solar-powered roof vent on our roof. We made an appointment for the next day. Barney showed up promptly and assessed the best location on our roof. He installed the vent quickly. Very nice people to work with. Thank you!

They are a superior company. The customer contact was wonderful. The scheduling was right on time and the installation went flawlessly.
