Service tech was professional as always. The company is always easy to deal with. No Problems.

Our inital consultation was with Richard Squires. He provided us with a thorough explanation of the system options available for our home. We were provided with the pricing options and literature necessary to make the process of selecting the right system easy. The very professional crew arrived on time and explaned the entire construction process. They took the time to listen to and answer our questions about the installation. The crew took the necessary steps to keep our home clean during construction. We had concerns about the removal of the old furnance, so the crew kept us informed about the process with emails and videos. The crew even went out of their way to accommodate the needs of our dog. Sherlock finished the installation ahead of schedule and provided a complete explanation of the installed equipment and system.

I live in Vista and in my nearly 20 years in this house we have had a number of HVAC contractors that I would describe as negligent, unprofessional and in some cases dishonest. It wasn't until I hired Sherlock HVAC that I found an HVAC contractor I could recommend. I've added them to my list of "go to" contractors for when I have a problem. These guys are the best, very professional, knowledgeable and honest. Aaron tells it like it is, no hard sell, no pressure, fair prices and he stands behind his work. You can't go wrong with these guys. They replaced an AC unit, a heater and fixed my ductwork. This was a few months ago. Today I had them out again. Alex came out and once again I had an awesome experience. So many companies would have jumped at the chance to sell me something I really didn't need but Alex methodically took me through the 3 different areas I was interested in and explained how I could do it myself if I wanted (and save $), use a less expensive piece of equipment than what I thought I needed and how to use my existing system to better filter the air in lieu of buying additional filters. These guys are absolutely the best. They may not have sold much to me today, but they once again sealed the deal on customer service and when it comes time that I need work done, I'll call Sherlock

The service was average. I requested a quote for air duct cleaning, but in lieu of that he was trying to sell me some air UV filtration system that was in the $1,000 range. He was here for quite some time troubleshooting things but I think he could have done a better job maximizing that time. When he was realigning the unit he almost pushed something through the roof; I had to stop him because it would have caused leaks in the roof and attic. He kept me apprised of what he was doing or if he had to go out and get parts. He came back in a reasonable time frame when he went out for parts.

All went great, In fact I called the company back a week ago to service the other two heat pumps in the house

Got a courtesy call telling me the technician (Matt) was stopping at the shop and then on his way over - right in the timeline they quoted. He showed up about 30 minutes later - Did the analysis, told me the problem and cost to replace the capacitor (250) -gave the okay. Then I had him clean the condensor coils to bring the temp in the proper range for the freon.

I spent about $230 on the job. I liked everything about them. They got the job done. They took care of my air conditioner and got it up and running. They were really nice and courteous. Their price seemed to be fair. I will use them again in the future.

My experience with this provider entailed an estimate only. It was an excellent experience.

Heat pump quit working on Sep 7. They found the contact block was marginal and no longer passing enough current to the compressor. I then asked the technician to check the refrigerant. He said it would cost $85 to check it and recharge any needed refrigerant. He though it would take about a pound. But when he did the recharge, it hardly took any at all, but I was still charged the full $85. I didn't say anything, but I thought they should have reduced it. Also, the part that was replaced cost $199. It;s just a chunk of plastic with electrodes and connectors. Looked to me like it should cost much less. Everyone else probably charges the same though. I'd recommend them and would have them back.

I contacted Sherlock (and about six other HVAC contractors) and set up appointments to bid the job. They were very responsive, arrived at the scheduled time and did the most thorough job of inspecting the job site of any of the contractors. They got into the attic and did a good job taking notes, asking questions, assessing the needs and taking pictures. He was very professional and polite. We were VERY specific in our bid specifications and our email communications with each of the vendors; Sherlock was the ONLY one to address each point and answer each question. They bid the job as requested and offered several options. They provided materials for our review and went over the project timeline. Although they were not the lowest bidder we selected them based on their professionalism, communications, and good rating on Angie's List. The supplied all the necessary paperwork up front: Insurance, licenses, etc - I didn't have to ask. Everything checked out and we set up the appointment. They arrived as scheduled, did the job well, and had excellent communication the entire time. Since I wasn't able to be onsite it was important they communicated with me and not my elderly mother. There were a couple issues that popped up along the way because we had to coordinate Sherlock, the propane company and the County inspectors. Despite some hiccups everything got sorted out and they were able to complete all the required testing and we got signed off by the inspector. My mom was pretty happy with the guys that did the work - and that's saying a lot. They kept things clean and didn't goof off. There were a few little punch line items and those got fixed. All in all I give them and A- They could have gotten an A+ except they missed one issue (a small one) and I didn't want to hassle with having them come out again since it was a 40 mile drive for them and something I was able to fix myself. I would (will) use them again for my own property and my rental and do recommend them to friends.

I ended up going with another company due to a lower price on a similar system. Aaron Sherlock was very thorough and his method of load calculation (to estimate the size of the system needed) was the most detailed/technical of all the companies I dealt with. Instead of just replacing the existing system with one of the same size, he did a complete load calculation based on number and size of rooms, sun exposure, type of walls, type of foundation, etc. Quite impressive. If his higher cost wasn't an issue, I would have definitely gone with Sherlock. It took a couple of days of calling the company to get the process moving and get an estimate for the new system. Other than that, the company was very responsive.

Excellent. These guys are the most-professional contractors you can find in any category. Highly recommend them. I called them with some minor concerns about my system which I am unfamiliar with because we only moved into the house a few months ago. They did a thorough maintenance and explained the system to me. I have the impression this is a small and relatively new company. They are eager to please and simply could not be easier to work with.
