The technician was very nice and provided alot of details. I think in some respect too much detail by telling me a concern but then saying that there wasn't anything easily that could be done and that the unit is working fine. I felt that he provided great service but he offered too much information on items that he could not easily repair without some demo to the walls.

Sherlock is a completely professional company. No surprises from them except that they surpassed all my expectations. They found a previously unknown problem with my duct system, but repaired it for free, both materials and labor. They are polite, well mannered and competent. I cannot give them a higher recommendation. A++++ They helped me obtain rebates on purchased equipment, even calling me to remind me. Both the city and state inspectors confirmed they have not had any problems with Sherlock installations.

We are pleased to recommend Sherlock Heating and Air Conditioning to the people of San Diego County. We had a new thermostat installed and the job was done in a timely manner and the instrument proved to be an excellent model. We were also having problems with too much heat getting up to our second floor, and the technician knew exactly what to do. He installed a damper on the furnace that could be switched to provide comfortable temperatures in the winter as well as provide cool air from the air conditioner in the summer. He explained everything, including prices before beginning the jobs. He also showed up when he said he would on the two occasions. The prices were reasonable, and we were so satisfied that we signed up for the company's service agreement for 3 years of pre-seasonal inspections on our heating and cooling equipment.

Very knowledgeable and capable technician. He found a duct which had come disconnected in the attic. He fixed that for a small extra charge, and the result was more efficient air conditioning and heating as well. Very happy with the service, and have recommended them to a friend.

I was not pressured to replace the furnace simply informed of the average life span and options for a new furnace. Aside from the age, the furnace is working well and the technician is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant.

The technician that came out did such a good overhaul on our unit and he was more through than I would have expected. I stated what he did above but the cleaning and inspection of every aspect of this unit was refreshing and he took away any concerns I might have had. Don't let this company go if you need this service. They know what they are doing.

The tech arrived on time, properly introduced himself and got right to work on diagnosing the problem. The problem turned out to be a burned out fuse so an easy fix but due to some issues with the readings on his testing equipment the process took longer than I anticipated. My confidence was a bit shaken when he decided to change out the batteries in his equipment to see if that was the problem with the readings; it wasn't. My A/C unit was up and running great after he left, he was good at explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it.

The technician arrived at the appointed time, and went to work cleaning the furnace in the home we had just purchased and moved into. There was a lot of dust accumulated, and he cleaned that and most of the dirt accumulated on the furnace closet floor as well as changing the filter and gave us instruction on how to do that ourselves. He also found a repair that needed to be done and took care of it. He warned us of a possible future break and what to watch for so we would know if it occurred. He was friendly, articulate and knowledgeable. We were so impressed that we signed up for twice yearly maintenance for our heating and a/c. Price was more than fair, and the company couldn't have been more helpful. Nice when you are a newbie in town and don't know who to turn to for help. Thanks, AngiesList, you always come through!

We would definitely use this provider again - they demonstrated that they really care about being the best, from the courteous phone calls to schedule our appointment, as well as a follow-up call asking for a review of our technician. He was very knowledgeable, and it was clear that every employee we interacted with wanted to create a lasting relationship.

Matt arrived at the exact time he said he would and after asking my husband about the problem; got right to work performing various conductivity tests to ascertain what the problem could be. The interesting part about this service call was---when Matt turned the furnace back on, it fired up and worked. My hubby and I had tried to reset it several times on the day it failed!! Murphy's Law in effect! Matt did note that the fan was not working correctly, and performed several tests to determine what the exact problem was. His probable diagnosis was that the 5 year old igniter was probably going out and/or that the thermostat could be the problem. It seemed to be running well over the hour and half that Matt was here running his tests. So we didn't have any other service performed. Matt was extremely helpful with trouble shooting tips to try if unit failed again. We also got ball park figures for replacement parts for our furnace as well as prices, (ballpark), for a new unit. He was never pushy, just informative. Hope it keeps running, although if it quits, we'll call Sherlock Heating & Air Conditioning again. One week later. Furnace is still performing well. Yeah!! No more cold mornings!

From the first phone call to service to the work after the call, they were great. They were reasonably priced. They provided me with very helpful information about my unit.

They were very informative. They gave us suggestions and things to watch for. It happens to be very old ac unit. They charged it, got it all clean and serviced. He turned on the air and it was wonderful. They were professional and thorough. It was a great deal.

It turned out really well. The guy who came out was efficient and informative. He took care of the problem and it all worked out. He was very thorough and he had to add some coolant in various things. He did everything he supposed to do. Unfortunately, the overall service cost was close to 800$. I guess the service that they provided was fair.

I chose to have just my ducts replaced at this point in time. The old ducts were 25+ years old, the insulation had split, and some had been visited by rats. Jeff and the crew came to the home on time, they worked well, each member knew his job and began. They were efficient, polite and clean. They also replaced the registers, sealed the air return in our garage, and sealed the duct work leading into the rooms. The system runs much more efficiently now, there are fewer hot/cold areas, and we really notice a difference. They left very little trash from the job, and the new duct work looks and works great. I'd definitely recommend them again, and I hope to have them back to replace my system in the future.

I wanted to personally thank Richard Squires for making our experience with Sherlock Air so seamless from start to finish. We had many quotes in the months leading up to our install. None of them really seemed to address all of our wishes with confidence not to mention the prices were really high. My husband & I decided to get one more quote and WOW we are so glad we did!!! Richard was a pleasure to work with and his install team all leaders in their own expertise did not disappoint! This company delivered in every area you would want form a contractor. Friendly, Priced right, On Time every time, Kept job site clean, They listened to our ideas and were extremely accommodating. We are now enjoying a new energy efficient HVCC system and we are very comfortable in our home. Thank you all for such great service and such a great value. I purchased the big deal coupon for this work. I think originally they had to call and cancel the first day that they were supposed to come, but then when they came out I was happy with the service.

They returned for a second appointment prior to installation to confirm the space available for the installation of the heater. On the day of the installation they arrived on time and were very professional. The installation of the heater required work in a limited amount of space and they did an excellent job. All work was done on time and they completely removed all old equipment and cartons. It was like installers were never at the residence. Outstanding work!!!!

I used Sherlock Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. about a month ago. It was about $12,000. I think they did a great job from the beginning to the end. They were on time, they were neat, they were careful and they paid attention to the homeowner's needs. Very, very good with the job.
