+ -1 moreWe have a monthly service, so they come every month. I think their price is fine. They're good on their price. What I really like best about them is we have a monthly service and every time they always call the night before just to talk about is anything going on, is there anything that they need to work on, do they need to set out snail bait or whatever. So I really like that they actually call me in advance and we talk, then they come the next day, and whether I'm here or not it doesn't matter. They reached out and they made sure they found out if there is anything they need to do.

+ -1 moreThey were environment-friendly. They used green products and organic chemicals. They did an excellent job. Their scheduling was fexible. They were prompt and punctual. They were very informatice. They did preliminary inspection. They did not just go down and sprayed it. He wrote down what he saw and what he knew. I would give them all A's.
Description of Work: I used Orkin for pest control. They sprayed around the peimeter of the house to prevent ant infestations.

+ -1 moreThey notfied me in advance about the scheduled service, provided a call back number if I needed to re-schedule. Showed up on time, completed the services and locked up our fence behind them. When I originally called on a sunday over a month ago regarding dropping I had noticed in and around our garage, they responded quickly and had a tech out the next morning.
Description of Work: Plug opening into the walls to keep mice out. Sprayed for insects.

+ -1 moreWe have been using them for the past several years. If they find termites they will eradicate them for free. I would highly recommend them. The only reason I give them a B on price is that occasionally the billing is not accurate and we have to get involved to sort it out. That is the only issue we have had with them.

+ -1 moreThey have been fine. The guy who comes out to the work has been great. They do what we need them to do. I haven't done a whole lot of price comparison but it is cheap enough that we keep on using them.
Description of Work: We use Orkin Pest Control. Because we are a business, we have them come out on a contracted monthly basis to check everything. We have also had them tent both of our buildings in the past for termites. If anything comes up (if we get a mouse, they put up traps; if we ants, they put up traps) they take care of it in a environmentally friendly way.

+ -1 moreCalled to reschedule due to double booking. Professional, willingly answered questions and pointed out infestations in attic. Did not recommend Orange oil, Electrogun or Microwave. Offered chemical treatment or tenting. Due to number of infestations chemical treatment almost as expensive as tenting. Recommended tenting and offered a good price. Comsidered using this company, but selected another company with better rating in "Angies List".
Description of Work: Thorough inspection of house and attic for drywood and subterranean termites. Declined to go on lower roof to inspect infestations in bedroom walls and facia boards (upper level).

+ -1 moreSee above. The service was to control ants / spiders on the property. Called for spraying the perimeter of the property and the exterior of the residence. Although the house interior remained clear of ant(s) the exterior always had some evidence of infestation. Service personnel always attempted to eradicate the infested areas, when a service appointment was made and the infestation was noted. Appeared to have little luck with spiders.
Description of Work: Our experience with Orkin was anything but positive. We entered into an annual contract in May 2009 for a pricy advance payment of $703.70, for every other month service. We were assured we would be contacted (confirmation) the day prior to expected service (3rd Tuesday of the applicable month) and it would be approximately at the same time, i.e., mid morning. The 2nd month(s) scheduled service went accordingly, but there appeared to be a discrepancy in the monthly Orkin invoice re: our ending (advance payment) balance. Accordingly, a letter was written requesting an explanation. No response was (ever) received to this inquiry. The 3rd (scheduled) service was performed shortly before dark, by a "new" service employee. He explained that his lateness was due to his unfamiliarity with the route. Further, he was naturally unable to explain continuing discrepancy reflected in the current Orkin invoice, presented following the completion of that evening service. He indicated he would look in to the problem and advise. No advice was subsequently offered. The 4th (scheduled) service did not take place, although it had been confirmed the previous day. We received a phone message the following morning indicating he would take care of the service some 10 day(s) hence. No explanation / apology, etc. Totally unprofessional. With that we contacted Orkin and cancelled all future service and requested a refund of our outstanding advance payment. The amount received was $342.80, dated 11/4/2009. Accordingly, and as expected, the cost of the service received (3 visits) was far higher than initially contracted for. We decided to chalk up the loss to experience. All in all, felt the service was, AT BEST, totally overpriced, unprofessional and less than honest. We subsequently contracted the service to a local contractor (father / sons) for the identical service, without an annual contract / advance payment. Better yet .... at half the price originally quoted by the Orkin agent. Our advice: Don't give Orkin your business, based on our experience.

Description of Work: They helped us out with a rat infestation we were having in our attic. They cleaned it out. Cerby came out initially to evaluate the situation/clean the area. He set traps.

+ -1 moreOrkin knows we have a dog, so they are very conscientious to not spray close to his outdoor kennel. They are careful to not spray around our pool. They are also very friendly and really seem to know what they are doing.
Description of Work: We pay Orkin a yearly contract for $600 to come in and do a routine pest spray around the exterior of our home once a month. If we have a problem and need it taken care of, they will come and service the problem at no extra charge.

+ -1 moreThe technicians are well trained, professional and go out of their way to do a complete job. The actual company does not prioritize by placing the veteran customers at the top of the list. When new customers are added, they will simply place them amongst the long term customers. This means my services may be delayed or change to accommodate other's needs. The main headquarters will change service days or times without the technician's input. One downfall is there is no set time of their arrival on the scheduled day. The technicians will make things right with me to make certain my services are well met. I have used their services for 7 years. I will continue to use their services based on my experiences with the technicians. The cost is based on a monthly fee.
Description of Work: I have an informal contract with the company. They come on a monthly basis upon my request. On the most recent visit, they treated the exterior of my 1404 square foot home for spiders, ants and other unwanted pests.

THEY WOULD COME OUT TO SPRAY AN ADDITIONAL TIME DURING THE MONTH, BUT IT SEEMED LIKE I WOULD ALWAYS FIND MORE ANTS ON A FRIDAY EVENING AND THEY WOULDN'T COME BACK OUT UNTIL MONDAY. I FINALLY HAD TO CANCEL MY SERVICE, BECAUSE I FOUND I WAS SPRAYING FOR ANTS MYSELF MORE OFTEN THEN THEY WERE. WHEN I CANCELLED MY SERVICE THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO ME.
