Majestic Touch Painting & Decorative Finishes

We were made aware of Phillip be our general contractor. Our contractor asked him to call us. Within the hour he did. We needed him I a specific date on very short notice, because we were leaving town. He was able to accommodate us. He showed up on that date at the time specified ready to work. He was completely done cleaned up and out the door in 31/2 hours. Exactly the kind of service you would like to get but do not often receive.

Phillip has done all my wood window staining in my home this year. We replaced 8 windows so far and will continue to use him for the rest. All the windows have wood trim which he stains to match the window frames. This is not just staining out of a can. He mixed a custom color for us and worked until he had it just right. He spends a lot of time doing prep so the job comes out well. When he leaves the work area is clean. He also refinished a bedroom dresser using matte black lacquer with light distressing. Came out lovely. While you may be able to find someone to do your work cheaper, if you are looking for quality and professionalism he is your guy.

It went GREAT! Phillip painted our mid-90's golden oak cabinets, approximately 70 square feet. His work involved removing door and drawer fronts, creating a spray booth in our garage, sanding, priming, sanding, priming and spraying with white lacquer. He removed most of the grain when he sanded and filled. He hung plastic, laid paper, etc., in order to spray the frames in the kitchen. I would definitely recommend Phillip and would use him again. Phil was very responsive to our need and worked within out budget. The work was exceptional and looks like new (really). I very much recommend Phil to complete new or refinish work. Other quoted slightly less, but the process as described by them made me quite uneasy. Phil noted his process and it was much more thorough.

Phillip was very easy to work with. We had a hard time deciding if we should paint or reface our oak kitchen cabinets. Phillip explained the process with us. We ended up getting new doors and drawers. Keeping the boxes, still worried about how the the rest would look painted because of the oak grain. From the time we got the estimate until we started the job was probably at least a month or so. Phillip always answered my questions and was very helpful. One thing I really appreciated was he always answered his phone, he was out of town one time when I texted him a question ( It was a Saturday, he was on vacation. I did not know he was on vacation .) he still text me several times, then called when he got off the subway. That means a lot when you are unsure about your project. My cabinets look great. I did not want my cabinets to look like they were old cabinets just repainted. Phillip and Bill were here when they said, always on time. The prep work is very detailed and time consuming. Phil was exceptionally responsive to any and all requests I made. He finished the job AHEAD of schedule and on budget. He was on the site everyday as committed to and his team was careful to protect areas not being worked on. I would HIGHLY recommend Phil and his team to complete any painting/staining projects you are considering. He graciously worked to provide a color match that was acceptable to us and took the time to show us how to take care of our upgraded cabinets. He and his assistant did a nice job. We were concerned at first that the color would look a little blotchy, when when it was all done and the unit had items on the shelves, it looked very nice. The only ding is that it took him half a day longer than the two days he estimated, but when's the last time you had a contractor finish on time? Overall, we are very happy with the work and recommend him.

Phillip was very professional and completed the work very quickly. He was very tidy and kept me informed at all times. I am very satisfied with the finished job.

Phillip and Bill did an excellent job with applying lacquer and primer as well as clear coat is some areas during our home remodel. As other reviewers have mentioned, Phillip is meticulous and provides a very high quality to his work. He was on time and very professional with his work schedule and his estimate in terms of days for completion was fairly accurate. In terms of pricing, I would say it is fair for the services provided. He is upfront when he says that you could find cheaper options out there if you simply want to repaint. His application of lacquer/stain is much higher quality and as a result his prices in general are higher than perhaps what a basic painter may quote. Overall, I would definitely recommend Phillip to anyone looking at hiring a quality finisher for any home project they might have. He did return for some minor touch ups which was also greatly appreciated. It is also worth keeping in mind that sometimes the amount of work changes depending on the amount of labor needed to prep the wood adequately. As a result, he is honest about extra charges that may be added at the end of the project. In my case, he showed us the extra labor involved as the project progressed and in the end an additional fee of $450 was tacked onto the previously agreed upon price. That was perhaps the only criticism I would have and it is no fault of Phillips as he was honest about these potential additional fees, but in the end it was a significant added expense which we did not necessarily account for in our budget. He did also spray a large photo frame for us as well which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend him (and Bill) to anyone looking for a professional re-finisher who provides a high quality to his work.

Our experience with Phillip (owner) was very positive. He is skilled and dependable. Spends a great amount of time prepping the job and consequently the work looks wonderful when he's done. He was willing to work with me on color choices for the wood stain and prepared several samples. The entire job came out beautiful and when he left the house and garage was cleaned up. We would definitely use him again and already have another small job we want him to do. You could probably find someone to do the work for less money, but if you are looking for quality and dependability he's the one you'll be happy with.

Phil was professional, detailed oriented and punctual. The quality of the refinish was absolutely exceptional. I have had the cabinets refinished before and his work was by far better than any other provider I have used. I will definitely use him in the future for all of my refinishing needs.

Phillip was fantastic. I initially contacted Phillip about refinishing existing cabinetry. He was nice to share the name of a great cabinet refacer with me. I ended up getting the cabinets refaced. Then Phillip came in and did the final finish work. His work was flawless. I had the cabinets painted white and it looks like a factory finish, just beautiful. Working with Phillip was so easy. He kept me updated as to how the job was progressing. He gave me an expected finish date but he finished early. I also gave Phillip a key to my house so he could get in an out to make it convenient for both of us. Phillip takes great pride in his work and his work is beautiful. It costs exactly what he said and he finished ahead of time. If all projects coud be this easy I would do more of them. I highly recommend Phillip and would definitely use him again!

My wife and I recently purchased a house in Carlsbad and wanted to have several cabinets painted to include all the cabinets in the kitchen, hallway and the master bathroom. Based off of reviews from Angies List, we made contact with Phil from Majestic Touch. He was quick to reply and fair with his price quote and availability. Leading up to the start of the project, he was diligent in answering our questions and was even able to delay the start date of the project, due to a problem with our closing date. Once the work began, Phil and his assistant were professional, extremely courteous and hard working. I was beyond impressed by their ability to manage and organize the scope of work during the prescribed time period. His product speaks for itself! The cabinets look better than brand new. Also, during the job, I asked Phil if he would mind painting a small table; he quickly agreed for no additional charge. At the end of the project, they painstakingly ensured the work areas and the garage were cleaner than they had found it. Truly impressive in every aspect. I have used Angies List before but can easily say this was the very best experience. Majestic is simply the best and we could not be happier with the experience.

Philip touched up/repaired several kitchen cabinet doors where the finish had been chipped away. He did an excellent job of matching his work with the original finish to the point that you cannot tell the difference in the original finish and his work. He also touched up a wooded end unit that I pointed out to him on the day of his work. Again, his work matched the original stain and you cannot tell the difference. He did not charge me for that work. His work was outstanding and I will use him again if I need interior paint/stain repairs. He cleaned up after his job was finished and I found him to be a very pleasant person to deal with.

These guys are terrific. We hired them to refinish our entire kitchen cabinets which were 17 year old maple. Still good wood but really worn and dated. They transformed it into a beautiful brand new looking space with a gorgeous cherry walnut stain. The good points: They show up on time. They are really concerned about getting the exact match for color that you want. They spend a lot of time making sure about what you really want. 80% or more of painting/staining is prep. They really prep. Each piece was cleaned, sanded, then recleaned before anything was put on. The finish is immaculate both on the outside and inside of all the cabinets and drawers. Refininshing means all the work is done in your house and garage, of course. They also take great pains to ensure that your home does not get paint or anything else all over. The smell is unavoidable but nothing gets trashed. They finish on time. They really clean up after it all. Great job. Totally changed our kitchen.

The kitchen cabinets were a gold oak color and very dated. Phillip helped us pick out the stain color and was very helpful. He made a sample on a cabinet door and we adjusted the color a couple of times before deciding on the final . Phillip and his assistant did all the work onsite. He was very neat, cleaned up everywhere he worked when done. He was responsive when we called him, arrived when he said he would and was very professional. The cabinets look great. The refinished cabinets really update the look of the kitchen. We love it!

The results were dazzling. When Phillip finished the power wash, my house looked bright and clean, like it had been freshly painted. The kitchen cabinets Phillip restored last year required only a few minor touch-ups. Yet, Phillip worked meticulously to blend the small dabs of fresh paint into the existing cabinet color. When the paint dried, my cabinets looked like new. I've already asked Phillip to put me on his schedule for next September. Phillip arrives promptly, and works diligently , stopping only for a brief lunch.

Excellent work! Phillip was great. He set up our garage as his paint shop and left it cleaner than he found it. Phillip would contact me at the end of each work day to communicate his progress and what to expect the next day. I found Phillip on Angie's List. He is very trust worthy and does outstanding work.

Phillip refinished my 17 year old maple cabinets from a yellow-gold color to a coffee-brown. Phillip and Bill were punctual, professional and friendly every day. They went above and beyond my expectations. Two of my kitchen drawers were beginning to fall apart. Phillip did not just refinish the drawers, he repaired them. I also had 2 unfinished wood corbels and new trim molding for under my cabinets which they stained to match the cabinets - no extra charge. I would definitely use Majestic Touch's services again. I highly recommended them.

Philip was great about fitting me in quickly, and the actual paining time only took a couple of hours. The cabinets look fantastic. You cannot tell where the touch up work has been done, and I am very happy with the way they look. Both times we have had Philip come to our house he has been professional and nice to work with. I would really recommend Majestic Touch. They did exactly what we wanted them to do, and we love their work!

Phillip and his team are extremely professional. From the time of estimate to completion we were absolutely satisfied. Our home is 24 years old and it was time to update the look. Phillip took a great deal of care to be sure the color was just right. Our kitchen looks as if it had a makeover. He suggested adding handles, and that was the right choice as well. Additionally, he painted cabinets in the bathroom, and refinished two bookcases, which also turned out "brand-new". The entire time they took great care to be as neat and clean as possible (difficult when sanding!) and were always on time and courteous. I highly recommend Majestic Touch for a top notch result.

Highest quality wood work I have ever seen or used in the past. Very responsive, always punctual. Will use every time I have a wood or finish project. Expensive, but worth every penny!

Mr. Phillip Piestrzeniewicz Contractor initially responded to my call in good time. I had emailed him photos of 2 projects; to re-stain a set of doors and a Sideboard. Mr. Piestrzeniewicz did not respond in a timely manner, I had to call him for a response. We discussed time frames, costs etc. I sensed that Mr. Piestrzeniewicz did not seem familiar with my request and had stated that his work mostly centered on Kitchen cabinets, but he knew what I was looking for and could do the job.(?) I asked if he would email a few photos of his portfolio- Mr. Piestrzeniewicz never responded. I expected a more professional response, particularly if he felt that he would not be able to do the job, wasn't interested, whatever the reason. This was our first experience contacting an individual through Angie's List . . I thought it important that I make this commentary. My thought is a true professional conducts himself as such whether the relationship developers or not. Carli E

Phil, the owner, is an artist. He refinished our 25-year old honey oak cabinets, front doors and staircase. They were looking very tired and out of date. I now have a new kitchen. It's beautiful! Everyone who sees his work wants to hire Majestic Touch. He worked with me to create the specific color I wanted, he cleaned up when he was finished, and he finished one week early. I would absolutely hire Majestic Touch again, and refer them to everyone I know.

Each workday morning, the Majestic Touch Painting Team greeted me courteously, then went right to work. They worked steadily and with focus for the next eight hours. At the same time they remained respectful of my space and considerate of my schedule., always checking with me to make sure their plans for the following day didn't interfere with mine. Every night before leaving, they put their tools in the garage and cleaned the space where they had been working. Phillip is experienced and knowledgeable about the chemistry of paint. I believe he could mix any color a customer might dream up. I was astounded when he created a paint that perfectly matched the original color of my cabinets--last painted 13 years ago. Phillip and Bill both work with integrity. They are meticulous, and try to get every detail just so. As a result, my cabinets look better now than they did when they were new. I feel happy just walking into my kitchen. Gone are the dirt and grime, the broken hinges, and damaged wood. In their place, are fresh, clean cabinets, fully restored and glowing with a new finish.
