+ -1 moreThe crew worked efficiently over 10 days to install floors in the entire house. There was enormous attention to detail. Note how they ran the floor under the fireplace. They also cleaned up after the job. I used them because strand bamboo is a relatively new material and I wanted to make sure that the installers knew what they were doing.
Description of Work: Gary's crew installed 2400 square feet of bamboo floors, door casings and baseboard molding. They prepared the concrete slab floor by grinding and leveling it so that the bamboo boards would not start to loosen after a few years of use. I bought the strand bamboo directly from Hilo Bamboo, an on-line dealer who recommended Gary for the installation and whose bamboo is far superior to the name brands. Even though Gary's installation fee was much higher than the other bids I got, I chose him because he was the only one who planned to spend time preparing the sub-floor for installation.
