Eric and his team were professional and communicative throughout. He helped us repair an external leak of unknown origin and was able to provide reasonable estimates for repairs even before exact details of the issue were known. Would highly recommend.

We are a family of four and we had just purchased a 4500 square foot home in San Diegoâ s North County that required some significant remodeling and updates. However, we were still living in Boston, MA and were hoping to have the home remodeling done before our West Coast move in about a month. This was a daunting undertaking, given our being across the country, not knowing North County contractors, and our tight timeframe to complete the work. Then we met Eric, who was referred to us by our trusted realtor. Not only was Eric a terrific cross-country communicator (text, email, phone), but he brought an exceptional level of detail-orientation and workmanship to the project. Bottom line, we absolutely LOVE the work that he and his team completed, and we are now living in what we consider our dream home. To provide more detail about the remodeling, we had Eric and his team help us with the following numerous projects: painting all interior walls; installing engineered wood flooring throughout the majority of the house; a complete master bathroom remodel down to the studs, including new tile flooring, new soaking tub, and new shower; new sections of exterior fencing, new garden gates, and a new balcony railing; repainting all kitchen cabinets, media cabinet, and upstairs bathroom vanities, including new cabinet hardware; installation of a new furnace and Nest thermostats; interior and exterior electrical updates, plus the installation of numerous lighting fixtures and ceiling fans; and assembly and installation of wall-to-wall bookcases. In sum, we canâ t fully express our gratitude for Eric. He is exceptional at what he does. He clearly loves what he does, and he does it so well. We recommend him without reservation. You will not be disappointed; on the contrary, youâ ll end up living in your forever home.

We hired Eric to do a full kitchen remodel as well as a whole house refresh/re-design with new flooring, lighting, paint, and decorative elements. We could not have made a better choice. It felt like he was remodeling his own house with the level of detail and attention he paid during the entire process. He communicated every day to update us on progress and schedule, and any issues or questions that arose. He has a long standing relationship with all of his subcontractors, and pays meticulous attention to their work as well as his own. On the rare nights that we would have concerns over how certain work looked, by the time we could talk to Eric in the morning, he had already noticed it and was having it taken care of. When drainage issues prevented us from installing the downdraft system that I had my heart set on, Eric helped us come up with a solution that would allow for ample venting without having a huge range hood over our island. He even built a custom cabinet around the hood to allow it to blend seamlessly into our new cabinetry, resulting in a professional looking kitchen that turned out better than our original idea. As I said, he treated our house remodel as though it were his own, and his suggestions and pain staking detail allowed us to truly have the kitchen and home of our dreams. He set an aggressive timeline and was able to meet that deadline without sacrificing quality in any way. There was never a day (other than most weekends) that he and his crew were not working, and they were able to finish our project in 2.5 months. He also came in on budget with no surprises (other than the extras we sprung on him mid-project) The next phase in our remodel is a major renovation of our master bath, and I can t imagine hiring anyone else.

Eric and his team were extraordinarily prompt, communicative, and professional throughout the project. They quoted a fair price and did a great job. We are very happy with how the finished work turned out.

We hired ECS and we are so glad we did! Originally we had a start date and had some family emergencies so we had to travel for awhile and Eric was amazing to work with us when we d be back in town to make sure our plans were perfect! When we started him and his crew were so fast! His contractors are awesome, always showing up and on time, so skilled, and hard working. Eric would jump in there with them to make sure they did it perfect. Our favorite thing was our detailed oriented he is. He would notice little imperfections before we could or even did and fix them. He takes the time to make everything look high end! He understands your vision and works hard to get it perfect for you! His team got our huge multiple room renovation done ON TIME and we added on projects every couple of weeks. We will definitely be using him when we do the rest of the house!

I wouldn't hesitate using ECS again. The bid was very competitive and the quality of the craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch. Eric surrounds himself with very professional sub-contractors who are professional and detail oriented. I can't recommend more highly.

This was a complete remodel (down to the studs) of our kitchen and bathroom. The work that was done included the installation of a pocket door, installation of a 17' beam to replace a load-bearing wall and new windows throughout the house. Eric provided excellent communication and ensured we were apprised of the trades (demo, plumbers, electricians, stucco masons, tilers, painters, fabricators, etc) coming in each day to do work. He goes the extra mile to provide a quality product. Eric's crew are top-notch professionals who provide superior service. They know their stuff and were a pleasure to work with.

Off site owner renovating 1980s townhome rental unit. Stunning renovation of all rooms, addition of shower to make 2 full baths. Added kitchen island. Knows contemporary tastes. Kept in touch daily via texting with owner/decorator. Quality work. Wants everything done right. Did similar job in same complex and saw that. Expert subcontractors. Neighbors said no problems.

Eric Stephens and his outstanding crew of workers began a whole-house remodel on my totally outdated and poorly maintained 1974 home in mid-August. We are getting very close to completion and so far I am nothing short of amazed at the quality of workmanship. Eric is extremely easy to work with. He has great design ideas and helped me merge modern with traditional all in a believable and seamless manner. I cannot say enough good things about ECS Construction. They are always prompt, professional, extremely conscientious and the hardest workers I have ever seen. They even clean up after themselves! Every detail has been perfectly executed.

From beginning to end, this company was very pleasurable to work with. We remodeled two bathrooms at the same time, and they both turned out great. The quality of the workmanship for the price paid was impressive. Integrity and trust are everything in this business, and ECS delivered both throughout the entire process. Even the most minute details were attended to, and the job was not finished until every part of the project was completed to the highest standard. I highly recommend this company, and would absolutley not hesitate to use them again in the future.

ECS did a complete remodel on my 1982 home. Eric was professional, courteous and very responsive. The entire project took about 6 months. I live in NJ and visited the job site 3 or 4 times during the remodel. In between visits, Eric was in daily communication with status reports and photos. He also had a great relationship with his sub-contractors who all did great work. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing an organized, experienced contractor.

Eric has a good eye for design and made wonderful suggestions for our kitchen/downstairs remodel. He was always responsive to phone calls and questions. We ended up doing more construction than we had intended, but we were never pushed to do so. The additional construction complimented the open concept we wanted and some ideas may save us money later (i.e. plumbing overhead). Eric is well respected among his subcontractors and we would use him again for future construction. We have a beautiful remodeled downstairs and family and friends cannot believe the transformation.

The owner is hands on and keeps you informed every step of the way. The workers always showed up early and put in a fair days work. You can not go wrong picking this company.
