+ -1 moreI spoke with Albert Latta (Bert) on June 5. He was friendly and helped me understand how a weep screed worked and what needed to be done to remove the old and install new. He was very friendly and offered to come the next day between 11-12 noon to look at my house. He never showed up nor did he call. It's too bad since he told me more about weep screeds than any other contractor I had spoken to. The price he quoted me was over the phone and based on the footage information I gave him.

+ -1 moreAlbert and his helper (Jason) were on time and very professional. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up the area where they worked and left no debris laying around when the job was done. Very neat and tidy! I love that. We were very satisfied with the job they did. We will definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Stuccoed 165 sq. ft. of brick area on our house.

+ -1 moreGreat! Bert and his helper were very punctual, 7:58 AM! They went right to work, and were done before noon. They were professional and cleaned up after the job. To my untrained eye, it looked like a perfect repair for years of water leaking into our kitchen. Time will tell, but I don't expect any more drips! Thank you, Bert!
Description of Work: Removed old stucco & paper down to bare wood over a kitchen window that has been leaking for years. Installed waterproof barrier, re-stuccoed base & color coat. Area was approximately 18" high X 8' wide.

+ -1 moreThe job went very well, Bert had the best quote to do the work and started as promised. The crew did a great job of blending in the new with the existing stucco and cleaned everything up when they were done. We had some new windows installed that required a stucco "bump out" to frame the windows to match the ones that were original to the house--they turned out great and you can't tell the difference between the old and new ones.
Description of Work: Stucco work on remodeling job that included a walled addition and patching around windows and reworked areas.

+ -1 moreAlbert gave me an estimate for the repair of $5,000 which was high. He recommended restuccoing the entire house for $10,500 if I wanted it to look good. The house stucco condition did not warrant a total restucco.

+ -1 moreWe had gotten several bids for the stucco and Custom Stucco was a little more than some and less than others. But we think we got the best deal and every dollars worth. Very nice workmen they worked very hard and seem to love there work. Burt was also on the job most of the time and worked alongside his men and was here to answer all of our questions. Later they came back to fix another problem and did not charge us a dime. When the new driveway and sidewalks were installed they splattered the new stucco with cement. I called Burt to come and see how to fix it expecting to have him charge us but he did the repair and said 'no charge. Thank you for choosing Custom Stucco'. Burt is a very nice young man.
Description of Work: Sandblasted, power washed, scraped off old ugly fat stucco, installed weep screed patched badly damaged areas and re-stuccoed my entire house with a new texture of my choice and re painted the wood trim. Burt was so helpful and very knowledgeable from the day he first met with us and gave us the bid to the last bit of work. Burt even took the time to talk to my son Jim about his concerns. Burt and his crews gave us their all! The work was done ahead of schedule and they cleaned up very well. Burt even hauled away some junk that was in the back of the garage and moved some things around when I had ask if he could recommend some handyman to move some things he said " we will do it; why pay someone when were already here", and at our age that was a big help to us. The stucco looks great; we have many compliments.

+ -1 moreCustom stucco did an excellent job and were very patient and accommodating with my many architectural details. They sandblasted and powerwashed my house, applied foam pop-outs around the doors, windows, columns, and niches and showed a lot of attention to detail. Burt was very easy to deal with and the project started earlier than planned. They are very honest and above board and cleaned up the area afterwards. I would highly recommend them. Their quote was a bit more than the others, but I felt they would do the best job, and they did.
Description of Work: Sandblast and powerwash existing stucco. Apply some kind of acrylic "adhesive" to bind new stucco to old. Installed foam detailing around windows, columns, niches and one roof vent. Provided much information on our many pre-stucco projects that needed to be finished. Patched all areas that needed it (and there were many). Apply stucco.
