In summary, Matt turned just over 1000 square feet of 20 year old ceramic tile with very dirty grout into a new floor. We opted to have Matt clean the tile apply a color seal to the grout in a 3 step process that turned out beautifully. It took Matt a full 5 days to accomplish the 3 step process, but the results are simply amazing. Invariably, guests and family members think we had a whole new floor installed. The best part is that the grout is really sealed.....nothing penetrates it.... so it cleans up without any moisture being absorbed into the grout. Goodbye unsightly dark spots (or in our case an unsightly variably dark grout throughout the house). In addition, having Matt in the house for 5 days was a pleasure. He is quiet, professional, careful and pleasant. He is a perfectionist and was careful to make sure every detail was addressed and that both we and he were satisfied with the results.

Miatt is a hard worker and is very thorough. We have white floor tile and grout, so it wasn't easy to get clean. I was glad that we steam cleaned, instead of using harsh chemicals because we have a baby and a small dog. Some of the high traffic areas still look a bit gray, but I think that is to be expected with the color of floor tile that we have. Overall, I was very happy with the work.

Matt Ryan is excellent with meticulous tile work. The repair work was straight forward compared to the planning and execution of the shampoo niches. We communicated well together about the final desired "retro" appearance which turned out better than I knew possible with Matt's expert workmanship. He was also very conscientous about the cleanliness of the work area and protecting nearby furniture from dust and potential damage. I contracted with him on a time and materials basis because I felt the job was important enough to me that I wanted to make sure he took adequate time with the detailed work. Now that I know he is a competent and qualified tile layer, I will contract with him on a bid/estimate basis. Nevertheless, his time was reasonable for the work performed.
