Charles Viereck Electric

Charles is amazing! I find it so hard to find good and honest service these days. Charles Viereck is by far the best electrician I have came across with a heart that is always thinking of his customer. He has worked with my house twice probably saving me hundreds of dollars and today arrived at my mother's house to fix an issue with her A/C electrical outlet. In the end it was something simple and my mom called me to rave about him as a person as well as his advice. He is now our family electrician and we will always recommend him.

I recently purchased a new television and I needed an electrician to reroute all my cables to a separate wall since the TV was a plasma and I needed to avoid glare. I called 5 electricians before I found CVE - most of which never even took the time to call me back, and the one that did said they didn?t perform TV related work. I talked to their dispatcher who was very courteous and friendly and said they could schedule an appointment for Monday of the following week, which was great since I didn?t want to be waiting around for weeks to get my TV set up. The technician arrived right on time and after looking over all the wires and cables, got to work immediately. Everything went smoothly and soon enough I was watching my favorite shows on my brand new TV! They even followed up with me a few weeks later to see if everything was going smoothly and there were no problems with the installation. This was a very pleasurable experience, especially comparing it to other electricians I have dealt with in the past. I will be using CVE from now on and I recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy electrician.

He was very efficient and knew exactly what to do once we described the problem and within 30 minutes had changed 2 gfi outlets and weatherproofed the outside outlet within minutes our electrical issue was resolved. He answered any questions we had regarding any questons we had and gave us ideas on how to upgrade without costing a fortune. Very, very pleased with the service.

Terrific! He returned my call promptly and listened carefully as we discussed what I needed. He came to work at the exact time agreed upon, with everything he needed, and solved my problem with the simplest and most elegant solution. Within the hour he had installed a breaker in the main panel for a new garage circuit and an outlet that could handle power tools in the garage, exactly where I wanted it! Excellent, excellent service!

Charles said he would be there at 1:00 and arrived at exactly that time. All work was completed in a very timely fashion and he was both thorough and neat. I would definitely call Charles for any future electrical work.

I called Charles early July 2013 and we coordinated for him to come over my next day off of work. We agreed on a date and time and he was punctual and arrived right on time. Charles was friendly, I described the work in detail and he made some suggestions and I agreed and he commenced working. He installed a new outdoor light and ran the lines where there were none and cleaned up associated lines for safety. The work was done neatly and fairly quickly as well and looked nice when completed. In addition, I asked Charles to install several new digital light switches with built-in timers and those were installed very quickly as well. He checked the lighting, and ensured everything was operational and I was pleased. He was very friendly,very nice and easy going, his prices were very reasonable did a quality job and when he left it looked nice, worked great and the house was clean in the areas he worked. I will utilize Charles again in the future and I will recommend him as well.

Returned my call promptly, arrived early in the time window he provided, and understood my wiring request immediately, even though it was somewhat complex. Work was done quickly and professionally for a very reasonable fee. I will be calling him again for my future electrical needs.

Excellent. Very nice guy who worked around my schedule to do the repairs I needed when I needed them done despite being very busy himself. I had a prior estimate from a different electrician for more than double just to fix my fluorescent lighting problem. In fact that was the reason I joined Angie's List since I couldn't get an electrician to even return a call timely. I will definitely use him again and really recommend him.

Very professional during the diagnostics. he knocked on the door with all his tools and instruments on hand. he even brought a replacement GFCI outlet, just in case he needed to replace it. I had given him a little verbal description of what was happening prior to him coming.

Charles was fantastic. Even though he had a full day already, he went out of his way to accommodate my schedule since we had a renter moving into this house. He quickly and thoroughly diagnosed several electrical short problems in an hour. He was extremely efficient and friendly throughout. He is really excellent and seems to really enjoy his work. I typically have sort of a bad attitude when it comes to contractors, but this guy excels and is the one you want to call.

I called and left a message. He called back at the end of the day. I described the work, single story home, attic crawl space, built in 1982 (no asbestos). type of fan, remote control, no wall switch hook-up. We agreed on a price and set up a date. He arrived about 10 minutes early - a surprise as we live in Fallbrook. Fallbrook is generally further away than people plan. He was polite, clean, checked out the location, and got right to work. Took just about an hour. He cleaned up. I was very pleased and definitely will hire him again.

Charles was very helpful over the phone in giving me approximate ideas of what he would be doing and the charges based on my description of my house. He offered useful advice about what to look for in choosing a fan. He arrived promptly and worked very efficiently. He was clearly highly experienced about what he was doing. In three hours he finished everything and even tended to a couple of minor electrical problems. I am usually rather critical of most contractors and am seldom fully happy with the work done. Charles provided exactly the opposite experience. He is thoroughly professional and I would hire him again.

It went very well. Charles arrived promptly, worked diligently. He gave us good suggestions for our lighting problems. He performed the job with as little disruption and damage to drywall as possible. He even came back the next day to see if our hot tub was installed correctly and made some changes to the outlet cover.

He responds when you call. He came out the same day. He even called to say he was running a little late, which was ok, but he did the work promptly. He was pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. I would certainly use him again. He was nice guy, and he did a good job.

He really knows his stuff and was 100 percent honest with the pricing. I appreciate that he showed up ten minutes before the quoted time of arrival from the day before. I am absolutely going to use him again in the future. He was completely willing to explain the issue I had too. Because I don't know anything about electrical problems, I was vulnerable. My experience with Charles was outstanding from start to finish. One of the smoke detectors in the master bedroom went out at 1:30 am Tuesday morning, and was beeping loudly every 30 seconds . We replaced the 9 volt battery, which should have fixed the problem, but it didn't. During business hours, we contacted the service department of the company who built our Carlsbad home 9 years ago. We were advised to replace the batteries in each smoke detector (there are 7) in the house and reset the button on the original smoke detector with the problem. We did that--it was still beeping long into the night and continued on the next day. It was so loud we were unable to sleep in our bedroom for two nights. We contacted the home builder's service department again, and talked to the technician who said to unplug the connection and that should restart it. However, the connection was poorly designed (as verified by the manufacturer, who we called), and it would have taken a jackhammer to unplug that connection. We contacted Mr. Viereck thru Angie's list (we had used him before for other work). My husband explained the problem and after discussing it with Mr. Viereck, he (my husband) decided it would be best to replace all the smoke detectors, since they would be out of warranty within the year and had a poor design--we weren't looking forward on going thru the beeping alarm fiasco again . Mr. Viereck told my husband a few places where we could buy the smoke alarms, advised the timeframe he would be here and quoted a price. He showed up close to the beginning of the time frame he quoted, did the work and even helped out with a carbon monoxide unit that needed new batteries.

We'd been having problems with a 3-way hall/stairway switch that never seemed to work the way it was supposed to. We also couldn't figure out why our upstairs bathroom outsets suddenly stopped working. And we also had some issues with our backyard power that was affecting the functionality of our sprinkler system. My husband called Charles to schedule an appointment and he managed to squeeze us in late on a Friday afternoon within 2 hours of the phone call. Mind you, we were in no hurry and this was not an urgent matter. He showed up within his estimated window, and quickly diagnosed the minor problems. Within half an hour, we were all set. One of the 3-way switches was wired incorrectly, which he fixed. The rest of our issues stemmed from a disconnected GFCI in our downstairs bath that was undergoing renovations. We had no idea all of that was connected (the outdoor stuff, plus up and downstairs baths). So once he fixed that, everything was up and running again. Charles was prompt, friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. Will gladly have him back for any and all of our future electrical needs.
