Charles Viereck Electric

We had an electric outage in part of our house due to some aggressive power washing by my husband. I called Charles this afternoon expecting a return call tomorrow. He called me back tonight and spoke to my husband who followed his instructions and voila, we had power! No visit necessary. (We had forgotten about the outside outlet with a GFCI that had apparently tripped.) Charles had previously installed 4 ceiling fans, 1 chandelier, 2 outdoor lights and updated several light switches and outlets. I have been extremely pleased with his knowledge, quality of work and pricing. He is always very prompt in returning my phone calls. Next up is to add recessed lighting as soon as we all decided where to put them. I highly recommend Charles Viereck's services.

My breakers blew out Thursday night. My regular guy was going to come on Friday and called and put it off until the middle of next week. Meanwhile I had extensions running around for refrig and home office. In mid-afternoon I found Charles Viereck on Angie's List. He answered the phone himself; was here within the hour and had the work done in about 10 minutes. Was reassuring and pleasant. Would recommend highly.

He was unable to complete the job. His problem was that he was afraid of going under the house. The structure was old and he was fearful of what was under there. He was able to do the job if someone else could help him. In the meanwhile he found someone else who was willing to go under there. It was a little expensive but it might be because we called him on a Sunday night. He did as much as he could without going under the house. I imagine he is very good at what he does but he is a little fearful of old structures.

They came out and they solved a problem for me. They did a good job and they were reasonable. They were able to fix the problem when nobody else could. They knew what they were doing.

Zach (?) arrived promptly and spent some time listening to me describing just what was going on with the wiring in our garage. From there he did some troubleshootoing and decided that we had some crossed wires and that some of two of our circuit breakers were tripping due to being overloaded and having moisture get into them. He spent time making out a plan of attack and a shopping list and arranged to come back the next day to do the work. Again, he arrived on time and carried out an immaculate job. I am a very happy customer. This company is punctual, courteous and very professional, I would not hesitate to use them again and to give them a referral.

Charles came himself. No subcontractors which I like. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and personable.Honored his quote over the phone and was punctual when he arrived. I would definitely call him again.

The removal of the old fan and installation of the new fan and remote control went smoothly. The new stainless steel fan looks beautiful.The fan in the guest room was too old and never worked. I will need to replace it with a new fan. Charles was very friendly and professional. He liked to chat with me while he was working. We had great conversations. I recommend him highly.

I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and where things needed to go. Charles was very prompt on his arrival time and also getting his estimate to me based on what I told him I wanted. Charles arrived on time (8:30 AM) and said he should have things done by 12:30 or so. I showed up and 12:30 and he was still working and did not charge for extra time. What I also liked was Charles found better ways to put in the main line and plugs that allowed them to be hidden much better in the wall of the garage and also ceiling....I liked the fact he wanted to make it look better that what I told him to do.

My tenant reported to me the day before the work was done that his electricity was out in the kitchen. I called Charles Viereck from Vista to work on the Vista unit. He set up a meeting date for 13:30hrs. Charles Viereck arrived a half an hour earlier than the appointment time. He located the circuit breakers and started work approximately 13:10hrs. without getting my permission to start. When I arrived at 13:20hrs. I was surprised to find him already working on the job removing the broken, old circuit breakers and replacing them. He was done before 13:30hrs, the designated meeting time. I figure it took him about 15 minutes to do the job. While doing the job he expressed his opinions about the real estate economy and earthquake predictions. I must admit I was much more interested him doing a good job than his predictions and opinions of the big earthquake and the economy. He wrote my up job invoice (the bill) which for the most part was illegible. I quickly wrote him a check for 120 dollars for four circuit breakers and 70 dollars for labor. He drove away a few minutes after 13:30hrs. The next morning I reviewed the job invoice to try to make sense of it. I couldn't read much of his handwriting and I called him to make sense of it all. He did a good job of describing what he did and explaining the cost. I choose Charles because of his Angie's List rating. But he should not start a job prematurely without getting permission, and he should write up an invoice that is readable. Therefore, I depart from the other member high graded reports.

Very quick and professionally completed. Installation of the ceiling fan was complicated in finding power in vaulted ceiling that wasn't coming from the existing switch. In coaxial cable installation, we wanted an outlet across the room from where the builder had placed one. This required working in tight spaces in the attic and tying into existing cable run. It also involved coming down an interior wall to a corner placement that was difficult to get to. He made it look easy; am sure it was not. Would highly recommend Charles Viereck Electric to anyone wanting quality work at a reasonable price. I

He was very nice to deal with. I did not end up using his services because we had to put the project on hold.

Charles came the next day after my call Finished on time and below budget.

He made some recommendations and switched out my bulbs for me. The price he charged me was much cheaper with what I would have paid at a store. The work he did was priced very reasonably. He was very professional and courteous. I was able to ask him whatever questions I had. I would recommend him.

Arrived on time (actually early), performed service in a timely manner, charged what was agreed upon. Friendly. Did a good job.

He was punctual, got right down to work. I was very pleased with the result.

I left a message and my call was returned within an hour. An appointment was set up for the next day. The technician arrived looked at what needed to be done and did the work without problems. He was knowledgeable and courteous and I will be having him back to do some more work soon.

My garage lighting was totally inferior to say the least. My washer and dryer's controls could not be seen clearly without a small flashlight. Charles came, gave me an estiment and arrived the next day on time and went right to work. Charles is a very pleasant young man who likes to discuss various topics. He is knowledgeable on what is going on in the world and it was a pleasure talking to him. Charles arrived when he said he would, was friendly and professional. He went about his work in a relaxed but competant mannor, found and fixed the problem. We had a very interesting conversation about phone technology which I will remember when buying a new phone. He charged me for half an hour plus $30. for service call which I felt was very reasonable. I will use Charles in the future.

The exterior electrical plug stopped working when we ran over the electrical cord to the lawn mower. I called Vierick plumbing and he called me right back on a Sat. He said that he probably did not have to come out and he told me how to reset the plug over the phone. I will definately recommend him.

Charles was very prompt in making initial contact and showing up for the scheduled appointment. He was friendly, informative, full of ideas I hadn't though of, and knowledgeable. He worked quickly and with purpose. A very pleasant experience. I will schedule more work with Charles in the very near future.

One section of my house did not have electricity. After calling several other electricians with no response, I joined Angie's list and found VIERECK ELECTRIC. He returned my call within the hour that morning and made the appointment to come out to my home in two hours. He checked the problem and repaired what was necessary immediately. When I asked him if he had time to look at some other electrical issues I needed, he was very professional and gave me the information I needed to go ahead with more lighting to be installed. He will definitely be the electrician I will be calling when I am ready for the work to be done. He is prompt, professional, and his prices are extremely fair. He was very nice and very professional. I called him in the morning and he came over in the afternoon and fixed the problem. Most electricians will not do the small house calls, and when they do the price is outrageous. I would not hesitate to call him again if I have a problem.
