He arrivd on time. I explained the symptoms and what I had done to locate the problem. He did not make me feel foolish, but located the problem within a few minutes cleaned it up was friendly and left.

After working with Charles, I told my wife "I met a mystic today." He was the perfect blend of knowledge, experience, and tenaciousness! If they had PhD's in electrical work, he'd be the professor. Truly a joy to work with. Charles is the rare workman who knows what to do and does it... Completely saved our project! It went great! He was punctual for both visits, professional and an all around pleasant guy . We were very comfortable having him in our home for the hours he spent. First of all we were able to get a ball park price of what it would cost over the phone to hang these gigantic chandeliers, much more reasonable than the $700.00 someone else quoted us. It was $230.00, about $30.00 more but he also solved our smoke detector problem so the price was still right on. The second job to install electrical in our ceiling in the kitchen went smoothly and he also went up in the attic for us to find out if canisters up there were still good. He even gave us a courtesy phone call later in the week to tell us that he saw an item we needed at Home Depot.

He was professional, patient, knowledgeable, prompt and took care of the issue. I will use him again in the future.

Quick and personal response to request for service. Showed up on time, provided estimate. Friendy and professional. Started work the same week and finished in one day. Paid with a check and we were completely satisfied. One year later he personally answered an emergency phone call late one afternoon after I had shorted out a breaker in our panel. Over the phone he walked me thru the repair - no charge. DO USE this electrician - he is so good for do-it- yourself homeowners who are in over their heads.

I had a problem with a circuit that was not working in my home. Charles arrived and quickly determined the problem within 10 minutes. He fixed the problem and I was very impressed. His price was very reasonable and he is a very nice and cordial businessman.

Charles was right on time and repaired the problem within ½ hour. Excellent service!

He was very prompt in returning my message, came the next week on time. He was very professional and cleaned up after his work. The quality of his work was excellent. We were very happy with the results and feel the money was well spent. We intend to call him back to install a fountain in the future.

Technician arrived looked at the situation and said we needed a new breaker box. He replaced it in a very professional manner.

I have an older home and one day the electricity went out in half of it. I immediately jumped on Angie's list and contacted a couple service providers to see who would be available that day. The first company who came to my home was courteous but, after 3 hours of going through different rooms of the house (and having to empty half of my garage), were not able to diagnose the problem. They wanted to charge me the replacement of the breaker and bypass the old wiring. Long story short, I contacted Charles. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He checked stuff out the other company did not and solved the problem instead of bypassing it. Thank you Charles!!!! You are awesome!

I recently moved back to my rental home. After a few days I noticed that the outlet for my hairdryer in my bathroom was not working as it used too. My daughter also noticed that her outlet did not work as well. I noticed that my spare refrigerator that my renters moved to my garage did not work all of a sudden. I do have a handyman that can take a look at it but decided that this is a safety issue that should be handled by licensed electricians.Panicking that my house may get burned out silently I decided to search for an electrician from Angie's List. After thoroughly reading all the reviews of "A" category electricians, I decided to call Charles. I called him and left a message. He responded to my call as soon as he could that day. He seems like a kind spoken man and I described the problem . He told me it seems like a GFI problem. I told him I don't see any GFI outlet in my bathroom. He said to look at the garage and then I realized that the outlet my refrigerator was using has that GFI (red and blue button). He then told me to try to reset and see if it works. If it doesn't I can call him back and he will take a look at the problem. I did what he said and everything worked. I'm a 6 year widower and doesn't know a thing about electrical issues. I was so relieved that all my outlets and appliances started to work. I called Mr. Charles to thank him and told him that I may not have been able to use his services for now but I'm so relieved that I know that I now have an electrician I can call anytime if ever I would have a really big problem. Others could have come to just reset the GFI and charged me travel fee. Mr. Charles unselfishly gave me a free advise over the phone I would definitely recommend him and use him in the future.

My phone call was return within one and one half hours. Charles arrived one hour later (as promised) with the necessary replacement part, removed and replaced the breaker, and was gone in 10 min. AWESOME service!

I had a wall light switch with dimmer that did not turn off, and was hot to the touch. He returned my call right away, and came over soon. He had similar items with him to repair switch. He also gave me a bid on two outdoor outlets that needed to be replaced. He came back two days and replaced them. Very punctual and professional. The original switch in the house is still very hot to the touch, but he says that is normal. (?)

Charles contacted me right away when I made the request through Angie's List. He recommended that I order the fan online and told me what to look for. Charles said by ordering online, I could get the best quality for the price. On the day of the installation, Charles came right on time. While he was installing my fan, Charles identified and fixed a live wire in my attic that could have caused a fire. He also advised me on the ceiling light. I found Charles to be knowledgeable, professional, trust-worthy, and reasonably priced. In addition to doing great work, he gave me three suggestions on things I could do on my own to lower my electricity bill. I am really impressed and will definitely use him again.

I left a message for Charles, and he called and texted me back to let me know he could come out the same day. I was looking for someone to come quickly, and he was available to come the same day. He arrived at the agreed upon time, assessed the situation, and fixed the problem. He was very polite, friendly, and I would definitely hire him again.

I noticed that voltage in the home office was dropping occasionally to 112V, and averaging 114-116V during afternoons.....and that one of the office UPS units wasn't happy (beeping frequently). I called in SDGE and they determined they were properly sending 120V to our residence and that there was nothing obviously wrong with our central breaker panel. OK, so I checked on Angies List and wanted to find an good electrician that did solo work. Charles said he could come out the following morning and he showed up early. He quickly decided that the issue was primarily the size of the wiring going from the main panel to the office, and that the wiring just naturally was more sensitive to higher power loads. We also discussed the impact that other devices like the A/C and Laser MFP might be impacting things. We jointly decided that we'd look into using excess capacity in the pool electrical panel which uses thicker and newer wire, and draw a new branch to some of the existing office outlets after isolating them from the existing circuit. It took about a week for Charles to have an open spot on his schedule to do the work, but he showed up once again early and had everything he needed. The work was done relatively quickly and charles was very professional in how it was done and double checking that there were no issues afterwards and that I was completely happy. We've now put the laser MFP and 3d printer on the old office power circuit, and the rest of the office devices are being powered off two ups's plugged into outlets which draw from the new wiring. The UPS's are very happy with the power and all devices in the office are seeing 117-121V even when everything is powered on under high load. I looked at the external wiring and it looks very well done - no complaints at all.

Mr. Viereck came our right away both times. He was excellent and we now have total peace of mind and so does our tenant. I don't have the receipt for the first time, but the second time he spent 4 hours and charged $320 labor and $266 materials. We will use him again. He appears to be an independent contractor who does the work himself. He did a very nice job on the driveway lamp post, picking it out, taking away the old one, and installing the new one.

Charles came the day after I called him, showed up on time, and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. He had the replacement switch on his truck. Before installing the new switch which was slightly different than the one that broke, he asked if it was OK to install the one he brought with him. Although I did not mind at all, I really appreciated that he asked me before installing it. Charles has a lovely manner - he is bright, knowledgeable, and a very caring person. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Charles and will definitely use him for all my electrical needs.

I'm a property manager and have been searching for a reasonably-priced, solid electrician that I could count on for troubleshooting and repairs on our portfolio of properties. I think I have found him! We had a GFI that kept tripping at this house that we took over management on recently. The owner had already previously spent $400 with another electrician trying to resolve the issue. We had someone troubleshoot it as well, who replaced the GFI again, and -- guess what? -- it started tripping again the next day. I called this company, and Charles went out, found the problem in about 15 minutes, also fixed a recessed light that the owner said had never worked before in all the time he had lived in the house and charged us a total of $66 for the whole visit! I am totally impressed. Being accountable for spending other people's money and providing responsive service to tenants, it is so critical for us to find and rely on credible, talented and trustworthy vendors. We are definitely adding Charles Viereck Electric to our vendor list!

He was very nice, and very sharp. He was a pleasure to have around. His work was great, and cost just as good. I would highly recommend him.

Charles was prompt returning my phone call and correctly estimated how long it would take him to do the repairs. Scheduling the appointment went very well and he arrived on time. He diagnosed the problems quickly (broken wires in doorbell, old dimmer switch got hot because it couldn't handle the load of multiple high-wattage can lights), was professional and friendly. He didn't leave any mess behind.

One of the lights on front of house quit working. I tested the bulb and it worked so I thought of who to call to fix it. I remembered Charlie had done some lighting install in my garage some months ago so I called him. Charlie has done an outstanding job as usual. While he was working on the problem I decided to ask him if he could install dusk to dawn censors instead of motion censors.. The lights had to be modifyed tyo accept the new censos and it was done no fuss no bother. Charlie tested the lights, cleaned up after himself and was gone.
