Charles Viereck Electric

Description of Work: Charles installed a new fan/light in our den and investigated a problem with a fan/light in our master bedroom. He found the problem quickly and replaced the remote. He was very organized and thorough and came well prepared to supply whatever was needed. Per our request, he also gave us quotes for future work. He isn't pushy nor does he try to sell you on things you don't need. We will definitely be calling him back to do the additional work.

Description of Work: We needed an electrical outlet installed in the floor of our family room. Charles did the job for $110.00 plus $22.00 for parts. We've used Charles Viereck before and will definitely use him again.

Description of Work: He installed a high ceiling light, moved a large cabinet to hook up another light, showed me how work a couple things, gave me advice on my bathroom fan and advised me how to make the microwave quieter by putting a piece of foam in the cabinet above it from which the noise emanates. He was very helpful and interested in helping me.

Description of Work: During the recent rain, wehad an electrical problem with one circuit in our house (range, dishwasher and some outlets). We were concerned that we had a problem that could lead to bad things like burning the house down so we called several electricans for an estimate. Charles Viereck Electrical were the only only to respond so we had them out for an estimate. Charles arrived promptly at the appointed time and we described the symptoms of our problem to him and he began to investigate. Fifteen minutes later, he told us exactly what the problem was and how he would fix it (new eletric outlet in the kitchen) but he also told us that we had a new problem waiting to happen with the circuit breaker (corrision) for our laundry room but that we had about a year before it was serious. Since we have a high efficiency washer we decided not to take a chance and asked him to replace that breaker as well. We were excited that our problems were seeming to be minor and gave him the go ahead without thinking to ask about the cost. Well, 30 minutes later he was finished with the work and presented an invoice for $81.

Description of Work: Charles Viereck responded in a timely manner and was punctual and professional. We had two tasks for him. One was to replace and overhead fan/light fixture and the other was to find a short in a irrigation timer. On July 13, 2012 he replaced the fan and was conscientious about cleaning up and being sure everything operated as we chose. As it was drizzling rain that day (in Southern California in July!), we all agreed that the outside work should be postponed. We paid him for the work and he came back the following week to find the problem with the timer. He found that and repaired it in short order. We had agreed there would not be a service charge call for the second visit but his hourly fee did increase some. I would not hesitate to hire him again for any electrical work.

Description of Work: He came out on time. I had described what I wanted done-replace a GFI outlet and two other outlets. The house is near the ocean and salt is a constant problem. He actually provided 2 GFI outlets and replaced 2 other outlets. More importantly, he suggested a novel way of replacing plugs and switches in the future. I will definitely consider it.

Description of Work: We had Charles Viereck Electric do several jobs. On one occasion, we had an interior light/fan combination installed; on another occasion we had him install a light/fan arrangement on our pool deck, etc. His price is completely competitive with other electricians, he is knowledgeable and helpful with installation suggestions, he is prompt and efficient, and he is thoroughly professional. He arrives on time, and is friendly and communicative. My wife and I both absolutely recommend Charles Viereck without any hesitation whatsoever. It is worth noting that the first time we had Charles Viereck come to our house, it was after we had had another workman give us an estimate for an interior installation. The other workman had described how complicated the job was, and how he'd have to take some time, and how he'd have to run wires, etc. Charles came in, we told him what we wanted, and he had the job done in a few minutes. We were, and continue to be, impressed with his work. He is the only electrician we call.
