I purchased a coupon to have a bath room fan and light installed. I checked to make sure the company serviced my area. I called A to Z Plastering & Handyman I explained to him what I wanted and where I lived. He told me since the coupon was for labor only I would have to purchased the material. I told him it was new installation and he told me I needed to also purchased pipe. I told him that would not be a problem. I asked him when he can come to view the job. He told me to email him my address and phone number and he would call me right back. I waited all day and he never called me back this was on a Saturday so, I emailed him twice. No response. I called him again on Monday. He now changed his story telling me that he does not service my area and that it was Angie List that was the blame. Basically he told me he didn't want to waste his time for two hours of work. This seems to be the reaction I am getting a lot from Angie list. It seems the people listed on Angie list want the business but pick and choose who they service or they use Angie list to get their foot in the door then try to add more work then you requested. I called Angie list and told them what happened. Now according to the neighborhood specialist, I have to write a review before I get my refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold. The guy came back with a different story telling me I have to fill out a form in order to get my money back. What is going on with Angie List. I am still waiting to speak to a supervisor.

It went very well. Franco said that it did not take as long as he thought it would so he took some off of the original estimate and did the job for less than he had bid. Now that's service! We would recommend him to friends and family and will certainly use him again.

Overall it went great. I said I'd provide the materials (heavy bricks and sand for wall) and stupidly picked them up with my son ourselves rather than have the store deliver or have Franco with his big truck go get them. I won't make that mistake again. Anyone reading this that is thinking of building a wall... consider we loaded and unloaded ~5,000 lbs of materials. It's worth it to just pay the $80 or whatever and let someone else deliver them. I had them delivered for my former wall, and will for any future ones. This was my mistake, and not Franco's fault. Anyway, Franco arrived when due early in the morning so that we could discuss the details before I had to head off to work about an hour away. Even from my one meeting with Franco, I had no doubt that I could trust to leave him to do the job(s) without my having to be around. I told Franco that I was concerned that he would not be able to finish the wall(s) before I got back since he was doing the job alone and I'd seen similar retainer walls take two or more days to put in. I cannot tell you how amazed I was to come back six hours later and see that the small brick wall was repaired, the new retainer wall was entirely built, and the extension to the driveway wall was done. Franco was finished and cleaning up. He had to fight through some roots to level the foundation for the first row of bricks and he had to put up with a bad slope on top of it. I have one disappointment: I have a sprinkler line that needs fixing since it broke when Franco was working on the extension wall. I had pointed out the sprinkler line with some concern before he had started working since it was in an inconvenient location for the job so I am not surprised the sprinkler line broke, and Franco showed the break to me himself, but I'm disappointed he didn't offer his services for the repairs. I guess he doesn't do sprinklers. If he did I would have hired him. I just figure I should mention this. The good stuff: I am very pleased with the work that Franco did. The wall looks great and several neighbors drove or walked by during the afternoon and commented on how nice a job he did. Franco proved reliable, did a great job, was fast, very easy and pleasant to talk with, obviously intelligent and focused on his work, reasonably priced, and someone I would definitely hire again! He gets an "A" for sure.

Franco did an outstanding job! He was punctual, arrived when he said he would, kept me informed of his progress and estimated time of completion and all around performed his services in the highest professional manner. A refreshing aspect of Franco's work for us was that, as he completed a portion of the work, he realized that he had overestimated the time that the painting portion of our project would take and, rather than charging us for the original amount, he reduced his price according to the actual time it took him to complete it. When was the last time a contractor did that for you? Franco is honest, hard working, skilled in many areas of home repair and the consummate professional. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Franco was great. When I called for a quote he came the very next day. His prices were very reasonable compared to other quotes I received and his work was quality. He called when he said he was going to and showed up on time each day and worked right through the day without even taking breaks. I would definitely use his services again.

A to Z handyman (Franco) did a very good job on all of the things I needed and he did a GREAT job on the wall that was put in the garage. He returns calls is very timely and shows all of his receipts on material he purchases for the job. His prices are not the cheapest out there but his quality of work is well worth it. I will use him again for future projects.

Franco is a professional. He worked for a total of 10 days for us from about 8 AM-2 PM. No breaks-no lunch. He picked up materials 3 times at Home Depot. He is very pleasent and focused. We will hire him again soon.

Franco was awesome! He called me and was able to come out immediately for an estimate. I told him that I trusted he would be fair with his pricing and we could just schedule the work. He came out yesterday and took care of my list of repairs. Super nice guy and his quality/attention to detail was excellent. I found him very trustworthy/honest and will certainly use him again. In addition, he was very fair with his pricing. I actually gave him more then his invoice as a thank you. Someone like Franco is great to know.

Franco is a hard worker, extremely competent, honest and trustworthy. He did everything I needed and he did it perfectly and timely. From his responsiveness and willingness to work around my schedule to the excellence of his work, I am so happy to have found him! The comments I receive on the beauty of the space continue regularly to this day. Without hesitation I will call upon Franco the next time I need a project completed.

Awesome. He arrived on time to give an estimate. He was very punctual, professional and polite. He returned on the day we agreed upon to get the work done. Lucky for me he was able to come by the next day. He did a great job. I'm very pleased with the work done and I will definitely call him back when we have more projects around the house. I recommend him to all of those who read this. I've hired five different handymen throughout the last 12 months for various projects, unfortunately I didn't use Angie's List to find the first four. The entire experience was professionally done and the end product was great.

Franco worked very hard over several days to complete the job. He has a lot of experience working with wood and tile and the job completed was beautiful. He paid attention to detail and all of the wood flooring , tile and trim was fitted well and looks good. I ended up paying him more than the quote because it took him many more hours than expected. I will be happy to use his service again on additional jobs and would recommend him to anyone who needs home improvement work done around the house.

Great experience from start to finish! Franco provided a clear estimate and was willing to accomodate our work schedule during the actual work. Franco quickly accomplished the drywall repairs, textured the areas, and followed up with paint. The bathroom fan and plug are working perfectly again. Excellent service from start to finish!

He was wonderful to work with. He was able to start the job in the same week we called him out for an estimate. He was at our house bright an early in the morning, something I really appreciate since we need to get out to work. I came home on my lunch break and he had already removed the window and had plastered the hole! He came the next day and retextured the interior wall and painted the outside wall. This was the quickest and cleanest job we've ever had done, thanks to Franco! We just hired him for another kitchen job today. I'll post again to follow-up on that job.

He did a great Job. Was a pleasure, to have business wit him. He was polite and have a reasonable and low price. He help me with few little things and didn't charge me extra money. I immediately hired him for another job this coming week.
