+ -1 moreNot well! The 9400 was working fine when delivered. 2 weeks later it had slowed to a crawl. Torian charged about as much for their "remedy" as the 9400 cost. Torian added Trend PC-Illin without my knowledge or consent, a program which has caused problems in another computer I personally know of. After I wrote a letter to Torian outlining issues and requesting a response, he called stating that he wanted to respond but when I talked with him, he did not respond to my letter. Instead he stated that I was "in over my head", that his tech had documented things and that my downloaded programs were the problem. In effect, he blamed the customer for the slowness of the new 9400 after 2 weeks. He added that they may not be the firm for me; I answered that he may very well be correct. He stated that he was insulted by my letter (copies may be available upon request). I asked him to respond to my letter in writing. I am awaiting his response.
Description of Work: Wiped a 2 week old computer clean, in process lost email addresses and some data. Reason that new machine bogged down after only 2 weeks, a powerful machine at that, was never explained or shown. I could not prove their malfeasance and they simply blamed me for the problem with the new computer. I am NOT a novice user and had another service technician comment that the possibility that my downloading programs from the net was not likely to have caused the problem. However I could not prove that the software that they added to my computer without my knowledge, was the culprit. I paid the bill in full and will not deal with them again.
