This was basically a new install. All the drywall was removed and the tub trap was dug out. My first appointment was from 8 to 10 on Friday, May 6, 2011. I took the day off of work. Bill showed up at about 10:45. Even though I had told the the service girl exactly what I needed them to do, Bill was not prepared, no work was completed, and so I needed to make another appointment for Tuesday, May 10. Another day off of work. Bill showed up at about 8:45, on time. His work was completed in about 5 hours. After he left, I noticed that the vanity water supplies, hot and cold, were not the same height not the same distance from the vanity drain. I was just going to fix it myself, and save myself more headache, but then I noticed that Bill had left some tools behind. I called and made an afternoon appt. for Thursday. Nobody showed up and not even a phone call. On Friday, the dispatcher called and wanted to know if I would be home that afternoon so Bill could pick up his tools. Unfortunately, I was only about 3 hours away from home when they called. We made another appt. for Monday. On Monday afternoon, I received a call letting me know that Bill was running late and that he would not be able to make my appointment. We made another appointment for Tuesday. Thankfully, I did not have to ask off from work for the afternoon appointments. Bill showed up on Tuesday, fixed the problem, and took all of his tools. The work that was done, was done well. Bill was very professional and considerate when he was at my house.
Description of Work: 1. Relocate tub drain by 1/2 inch. 2. Install Kolher tub and shower valve. 3. Raise vanity drain and water supply.

I had a leaky shutoff valve to my house. Another plumber (there to do other work) had tried to fix it the cheapest way by repacking the valve, but it was still leaking. When I called on a Saturday to schedule an app't, Fresno Plumbing would have tried to send someone out the same day, but I chose to have them come on a Monday at 8 am. The company seems to have enough plumbers working for them that you are able to get someone out quickly. The phone receptionist was pleasant & helpful. She was concerned because I said that another plumber had worked on it. They do not like to work on jobs that other people have worked on. They did agree to come out. The plumber arrived at 8:30, which was when they told me to expect him. He dug down below the shutoff to see the extent of the leak. He discovered that there was a tree root growing between the pipe & the wall that was causing a leak just below the shutoff valve. He was able to make all arrangements to shutoff the City water to my house out in the alley & to turn it back on again. He gave me an immediate estimate to replace a section of the pipe below the shutoff valve & replace the shutoff valve as well. He dug down & cut the root that was causing the problem. He used a clamp to hook the section of the pipe onto the main pipe which was too old to rethread. (My house was built in 1950, and he thought it still had the original shutoff valve.) The plumber replaced the shutoff valve with a top quality newer lever-style shutoff valve. He also replaced 2 leaky hose bibs just above the shutoff valve. He needed to leave briefly to get materials. He let me know what was going on, and he was pleasant and polite. He filled in the hole that he had dug & replaced the bricks that had been set in the ground around the shutoff valve. In all it took about 2 hours. I also received a discount.
Description of Work: Replaced a shutoff valve for a house built in 1950 and replaced 2 leaky hose bibs. The work involved digging a hole about 1 1/2' deep and shutting off the City water to the house.
